If hasbro did this, the only groans would be that it wasn't computron or abominus or some bs like that, or that they are more repaints, if they did them separately, I think a lot of people would be happy to get spare limbs that homage ut characters

Also, surely the Demolishor variant head would be too big for a deluxe?

It's not unprecedented for a deluxe head to be used on a voyager. Prime RID Ratchet had a pretooled head for a Gears repaint on his instructions, the exact same head was later used on the War Breakdown mold, as Arms Micron Swerve. It stands to reason it could work the other way around.

Riiight, the main groan was that it was always good guys, I forgot. I thought people hated Hasbro doing random combiners rather than doing abominus or computron or any other combiner from the history. But yeah with all the autobots, I get how a decepticon combiner no matter how random would be welcomed.

Hasbro confirmed demolisher head isnt happening in a recent interview.

And yes, this is almost certainly a UW exclusive, but its not like we dont have our own. Currently, lots of fans in Japan are complaining that they dont have an offroad, alpha bravo, rook, mtmte cyclonus or white prime with star convoy headsculpt which are all Hasbro exclusive toys. Only fair they have some of their own. And in any case its not like we wont be able to get this. We will, but our costs will depend on whether or not its a ttmall exclusive. Unlike all the previous UW releases, this is the one where a UW exclusive box set will hurt the least since we cant get some of these individually anyways.

What i am most curious about now is the individual headsculpts.

What i am most curious about now is the individual headsculpts.

Yeah, I wondered earlier what was the point of bringing over the figs if they don't represent the characters they wanted? Because if this is the case, one could say that Ironhide is close enough to Offroad because they share the same mold...

They already lack the colors (and in some cases affiliations) so they may as well change the heads while they're at it. In the end, Japan still won't have the characters they've been asking for, just the molds... (case in point, if they wanted Rook, because they liked his character in the comics, then, they are still sol)

Ha, no. Rook might as well have "this space for rent" written on his head. You can tell he was added as an afterthought.

Maybe they will actually keep him when they had back to the Lost Light....or they'll put Groove in his leg spot. who knows. And when they boarded their shuttle to go back, Rook was not visible, but may have been in the ship already, so it is possible he will be expanded upon

Is there really any question that the torso is based on the G1 Galvatron toy? All of the signs are there.

• Light gray body
• Dark gray face
• Red stripe across the chest
• Silver "abs"
• Red belt with yellow buckle

It's an entire 1:1 match to the original figure. Also if you look really closely you can see some of the gray is a little on the lavender side and there is some dark purple around the edges. Most likely in Cyclonus mode it'll still retain much of it's dark purple with the gray parts mainly being the back of the arms and inside the legs. Should look pretty good actually.

As for the rest, the right arm is obviously G1 Starscream. Left arm does appear to be Armada thrust and his "squid head" would fit the mold fine. I do think he'll be retconned as a G1 character, though. The truck is Crankcase, if you look closely you'll notice it's mostly black with blue stripes to imitate the Triggercon's pop-out guns. Going to have to get this to complete the team from the Sub 4.0 set. I'm not so sure the Rook molded is being used for Demolisher even if the Transformers Legends game made him a G1 character. The other figures are very exact to their original counterparts, but this one doesn't really match any of his color schemes as well. Not a clue.

There's no doubt about the torso being galvatron, the cannon is even the appropriate colors, I think most of the questions are more about the why's, and what's of this thing, who are the limbs - especially rook - will they have new heads, and why are they being mashed together?
