That's the trouble with Foreign language manuals. I'll keep my eyes peeled on this "tab"

The Hasbro version has it too,
in the same spot. Again, several reports of breakage.
Ahah thanks. Pity that it has to be right at the foot

I didnt know there were other reports. I dont really feel better but at least I am glad to know I am not a total moron to be the only one.
The more I think about it, the reports of breakage really show how odd a design choice this was. Everything else pegs in (arms, chest, legs), but that little part is just a snap, and its so darn crucial. It would have been better if the sides of the shovel pistons locked in at each edge of the foot instead.
Also, the fact that it shattered in several pieces means the plastic is brittle.
Yeah, I had mentioned it somewhere at one point, and actually was called a douche or something similar for ragging on the plastic, so, now we all know I actually wasn't
that far off base

Kind of like my PSA thread on brittle plastics........I feel the pain

Indeed, I was told any evidence to the contrary was arbitraty and random, but now that it's someone on this site, guess it now merits a closer look

You know how you bend Scrapper's bucket all the way back and it "clicks", and then forward to its foot position and another click? Look on Scrapper where that tab goes into a slot, that's what he's talking about. When you detransform him, undo that tab before trying to fold the bucket down.

That sucks, Will. Maybe you can ask the store to contact the company for a replacement piece of the broken area?

Fellow news staffer
D-Maximus_Prime found a few more pics of Takara Tomy Unite Warriors Supreme Grand Convoy and
Tarn Wanderer Roller, courtesy of usual suspect from the Twitterverse
TFYuki. While there is nothing much more to add to the combiner, we get some closer looks at the orange Rook redeco, facing his old (ex)friend. Check them out below!

Not a sheeple.
Think for yourself, don't let the magic TV box and social media do the thinking for you.
Question EVERYTHING!!
Just because you have a youtube review channel doesn't make you special.
I look forward to attending a Botcon soon only to settle matters with several idiots in person (yes this is a threat).

I have anxiety, depression and aspergers syndrome so my behaviour can be erratic. I don't mean offense to anyone. Just very picky about my Transformers collecting. You're all cool!
Likes: Bayverse, Marvel UK G1, Geoff Senior art, '86 movie (more for style/soundtrack rather than Star Wars plot)
Dislikes: Bumblebee movie (lousy rehashed dumb crud), TFA, G1 cartoon, IDW G1, BW/BM, MP. The entire concept of Autobot Megatron

I gotta admit, Grand Galvatron is really tempting and making me rethink my "Seasons 1-2 combiners only" policy for this line. I really dig the colors on all the limbs and I'm a real sucker for Galvatron.
But I already have Hasbro's Cyclonus and actually was pretty disappointed by him.

I love this. It works. Granted, not entirely accurate to IDW, but it's awesome nonetheless.

Orange ?
I don't think I describe him as orange.
He's mainly silver.
Every Optimus Prime I had until they started reissuing them had a Blue Roller, so it still looks a little odd for him to not be dark blue to me though.

IDW G1. Unicron pulled him into the Japanese G1 cartoon continuity to give him a new form, along with Armada Thrust and Prime War Breakdown.

This tab, dead center on the pic, right WJ?

[Edit] And if it is this one, fixing it won't be easy with a simple parts swap. There are pins galore on the bucket arms...

Here is the delicate piece in question. It is the tiny protruding tab at the middle of the bar:

And to the one who asked, I cant exchange this since I did get Devy a month ago now and this was my mistake.

I got my Takara Dev last night. He's so awesome! Haven't given them the individual guns yet though. But I noticed on my mixmaster, either a stress mark or some flash on the 'devastator ankle tilt' part, on the side that folds inwards. I can't get in to see it properly though. Must admit, that has scared me slightly about pivoting the mixmaster ankle.

That indeed is the suckage. Sorry to hear that. To skip quoting a huge post - in regards to if hasbro's Devy has the same issue or not or if it's been reported - mine isn't broke, marred or damaged in anyway, but that piece jumped out as a problem the first time I handled Scrapper. The plastic they used is super soft feeling. It's definitely a handle with care toy.

Sorry to hear that! I think though for the big purchases, it's wise to wait like I am doing right now so I can hear all the horror stories and make me aware and more careful. I recommend doing the same sometimes for these types of things. It really helps to not break things so often.

It would be hypocritical of me to just post just be careful. But what if you were careful but you missed one step in the transformation sequences?

I had already 4 cases when the item just broke apart and I was careful
And the instructions at times whether in English or otherwise don't make sense at all.

And some transformers require "break plastic" force to transform them correctly.

True true, though it is better to know about these things early on to know what you're getting into.

Like a disease, the breakage symptoms manifest later. I'm wondering too if the lime green type used on the D-man is also a future "breaker" type.
