I don't think any posts were lost. The site's servers went down so nobody was able to see or post on the boards, except maybe some staff when they presumably did some testing before going live again.

Well some of my posts about UW Computron are definitely gone. I had to leave shortly after the Computron reveal and when I came back the servers were down and now all my posts that came after the Computron reveal are gone. So I assume that there are some others missing, hence my question if I missed anything important

Nope. Staff (aside from Ryan) gained access around the same time as everyone else.

There may be a small loss of data. Ryan's still sorting through things.

But that's a whole discussion for another thread.

Well, seems that not only my posts on UW Computron are gone, but my entire account was too. Oh well, I had only registered Saturday night, and I'm back now, so not much lost...

While it is cool that we're getting a different mold in lightspeed and two new remolds in strafe and Nosecone I'm worried that his color scheme is going to suck. Takara is holding really close to cartoon accuracy which would mean having a mostly red combiner.

I look forward to seeing the changes the UW Computron will have over the Hasbro version.

As it stands, It's looking like I'll be buying both versions.

Definitely a lot of posts gone.

The long and short of it is that UW Computron uses 3 different figures for their limbs than the Hasbro version.

Hasbro
- Scattershot
- Afterburner from retooled Groove
- Strafe from retooled Air Raid
- Lightspeed from redecoed Streetwise
- Nosecone from retooled Brawl
- Scrounge from retooled Cosmos
- New hands & feet that aren't HFG's

Takara
- Scattershot
- Afterburner from retooled Groove (presumably same as CW one)
- Strafe from retooled UW Blast Off
- Lightspeed from retooled Wheeljack
- Nosecone from retooled Rook
- New combiner head
- New combiner gun
- Reused HFG's

So there are going to be two very different Computrons in the way of limb configuration and tooling.

I've already resigned myself to the fact that I'll have to get both the Hasbro and the Takara versions of Computron. Hasbro's for the exclusive Scrounge figure. Takara's for the potentially more distinct molds and cartoon accurate deco. I figure my 5.5 year old nephew wouldn't mind having the Hasbro Computron set (minus Scrounge). He's already (mostly) mastered the "Optimus Maximus" set I gave him last fall. I'm so proud. He's come a long way since Rescue Bots.

Fellow Seibertronians, continuing all the Technobot talk and following the restoration of the site, we now have the teaser for the Unite Warriors Computron back up! This image shows us some interesting stuff, such as the fact that this version of Computron seems to be made of some different molds. The theories include Nosecone being a Rook retool instead of a Brawl retool, Lightspeed being a Wheeljack retool and Strafe being a Unite Warriors Blastoff retool. It is also possible this Computron has a new head as well, and it does includes the standard hands and feet rather than the special ones the hasbro's Computron comes with. Check out the image mirrored below along with the Hasbro image for comparison. What do you think of this image? Which Computron will you buy? *just a guess* if you look at pics of UW Groove...though he is a leg for Defensor in most pics, if you choose to use him as an Arm, I think it will make more sense.

Unfortunately I probably won't make much money back. Strafe and Nosecone will probably be different enough for my brain to convince me to keep both versions

I really need to see the complete image of this. I definitely prefer the Wheeljack design as Lightspeed, but I have doubts that Blast-Off will make a better Strafe than what Hasbro is using. The same goes for Rook-as-Nosecone if that turns out to be true. Also, we have to give up the new appendages and Scrounge.
