And I don't know what Grand Scourge's being a dimension-hopper has to do with this since Baldigus himself isn't a dimension-hopper. Car Robots is part of the Japanese G1 cartoon continuity timeline.

Why would Baldigus have to be a dimension hopper if Grand Scourge is? The point is that there's really nothing keeping people from displaying Grand Scourge with Baldigus, or any Transformers from any line for that matter.

Wow. This surprised me quite a bit. I went to my go-to importer, TFSource, to order Baldigus, and found their preorder price is $199.99. WTF!? I went to my second choice, BigBadToyStore, and pre-ordered Baldigus for the MUCH more sane price of $159.99. What gives with the $40.00 mark-up at TFSource? Yikes!

Yeah, I was shocked when I saw the price was so high. I've been ordering my UW figures from TFSource because of the free shipping, but it looks like I need to dust off my BBTS account. Even after shipping it's only at least $166.

The funny thing is, I didn't see "Optimus Prime" when I looked at that picture. I saw IDW's Nova/Nemesis Prime. That might be because I've repurposed my Battle Core Optimus Prime as Nova Prime, of course.

Hmmm...perhaps one of our resident Transformers media buffs can answer this one for me. Where does that red rectangle on Takara's Unite Warriors version of Trailbreaker come from? It's not from the cartoon. The rest of the changes in plastic and paint apps from the Hasbro version certainly seem to be for the sake of screen accuracy. For that matter, why didn't they paint the joint of the combiner peg blue to match the faux windows on his robot mode chest? They did so for Ratchet to give an illusion of a full windshield. Come to think of it, they didn't do that for Ironhide either. Dang.

His cartoon model does have a little rectangle on its forehead, but like you said, it's not colored red in the cartoon. Maybe it's a subtle nod to the original G1 toy's red visor. Or maybe the Takara toy color person/people saw that detail and misremembered its not being colored in the cartoon.

My Unite Warriors Lynxmaster came in the post today, and I've been having a lot of fun with it. The only problem I've had so far is the joints on some of the individual figures are a bit tight, particularly on Trailbreaker and Ratchet, to the point where every time I transform them I get worried about applying too much force and breaking something off. Wheeljack's combiner port also makes a worrying CLANG that's louder and feels more strained than the ports on any other Combiner Wars Deluxe I own. Despite this, I'm pleased with my purchase and I do like Lynxmaster more than Superion or Ultra Prime.

nice pics! If you don't mind me asking...how did you purchase yours? Most online retailers wont have it for a few more days. TT officiall release date is this coming Saturday (10/29)...unless perhaps it was last Saturday and I missed the announcement? I have not heard from BBTS regarding my pre-order, there's also only one pre-order on eBay as of this writing that is extremely overpriced.

Glancing at Trailbreakers 1984/85 self it seems like they didn't even show him with the missile as one of the arms.

I have a suspicion that his force field projector conceptually from the point of view of his bio writer was intended to either be his twin blasters or contained in the radar in the back of his head.

The whole missiles is really a gun thing is just a persistent cartoon animation error that gets repeated.

They shouldn't really have remoulded the arm at all - just give him a new slip on piece that works on either arm.

I've always used both fists on any G1 Character that has a missile hand in the cartoon - if only because I had the toys before I ever saw the related media.

Bad enough that it's shown up on both G2 Onslaught and Vicky's Torso both.

I would guess the error has shown up on some Hotspots and Normal Onslaughts as well. But if you got that on Valdigus/Baldigus or on the Mrs Megatron & Friends set that would be pretty annoying to get a toys with huge impaction marks in the legs and parts on wrong.

To which leg error are you referring?

The widespread leg misassembly that plagues practically every version of the G2 Onslaught (I typo'd above, I'll correct that after I make this post), Pyra Magna, and TFSS 4.0 Bludgeon. The knee struts on all these figures are reversed on both legs, preventing the knee assemblies from properly locking into place in robot mode.

Not mention it stresses the legs and almost looks like the spur is going to punch through the legs.
