The only time the cycle has been broken, was when the Alternity rescued and restored the mind to "Dark Convoy" (?, thus reducing a portion of Unicron's power/the amount of "Nemesis" avatars. I suspect then, that this new dark convoy can also "agent smith" into nemesis primes, taking their forms as avatars, as Alternity agents are wont to do.

That would be "a" Dark Convoy, not a specific one (IIRC Japanese doesn't use articles like "a" or "the", thus have to be added according to syntax). In Alternity's case, it was Universe 2003 Nemesis Prime that was reformatted into a Convoy Super Black body. Also, it may not matter much, but the comics made the former into a clone of a fallen Prime, tortured by Unicron until his mind broke.

Dark Convoy, like all of the others is one, amongst many. I stated that perhaps, for chronology's sake, is THE nemesis, or at least, the "final" one to be made.

Thus, although "other" incarnations are technically being "born", " Dark Convoy" is still able to exist, and fight back. Also, if you read my adapted bio for nemesis prime in a few posts, you'll see that I've already included your into about the "tortured prime", which i have inferred as Unicron's "first" incarnation of nemesis prime.

As for the use of articles in Japanese, while it's true that in most literal translations of Japanese, definite and indefinite articles are not used, the idea of indefinite and definite articles ARE used.

For example, "a" can be represented by by "hitotsu no" to represent a "new" or insidiously noun. "So no/ko no/ a no/rei no", by contrast, can be used to represent the definite article. Thus, the grammatical function of articles isn't represented, but their use is, in Japanese.

Yes, you're right. In my first reference to 'him', I used speech marks "for want of a better word" (i.e., his actual name), but was too lazy to wiki it. A quick check now reveals it as "(Alternity) Convoy Super Black". However, it could be argued that this is more of a description, than an actual name. He is still referred to as "Nemesis Prime" in the Transtech, while he referred to himself as (a?) "Knight of Darkness" in Alternity.

One interesting thing here is that in Transtech, the "(Council of) Convoy" is a group of "Low-tech" Primes and Convoys from the multiverse, assembled and contained in one area of Axiom Nexus. The "Transtech" (possibly rightly) believe themselves physically, spiritually etc more "evolved" than the other transformers, BUT "Dark Convoy" here is most certainly a much higher form of life than the Transtech. He could warp out of there, at any time, and instantly reappear, in multiple bodies, all over Axiom Nexus, while solving all of their problems. Alternity are the "mary-sues" of the Transformers.

There is a "Dark Nitro-Convoy" a "Dark Guard Optimus Prime" & a "Darkside Optimus Prime" if that has any relevance.

Names do get fudged a bit sometimes like for example is Combat Hero Optimus Prime called that or is he just "Optimus Prime" in another colour and the CHOP designation is just an easy short had to specify you are not talking about the white "Sureshot" Optimus Prime version. I suppose there is a bit of fudge on what to call Black Animated Optimus Prime too.

If you say "Black Convoy" instead of Jafcon Optimus Prime or Jafcon Convoy for example people might be thinking you are talking about the Car Robots version of Scourge.

I know some people don't like Black repaints but I still feel a little sad that there was never a Black toy version of Galaxy Force Megla-Convoy (Metroplex) or Live-Convoy (Evac) - I liked the idea of all of them having an evil twin story wise.

Also The Train Optimus From Transformers Go would be great to have in Black too as it would complete a set then.

I have that said, always had a soft spot for Movie 2008 Night Watch Optimus Prime's colours though and wouldn't mind seeing those used more often also.

Yeah, truck chassis can be manufactured with different chassis configurations. The engine, cab, and power train are often very similar, if not outright the same. In semi tractors, the rear tandems are added along with the fifth wheel that hooks into the trailer. For straight trucks, wreckers, flatbeds, or other utility trucks, the chassis can be left long with a single or tandem rear axle possible. Here are some pics of "naked" trucks:

You do know that, to us Europeans, "G2 Hero Optimus" is also separate from his doppelganger, "Sureshot" (who suffered from "prime syndrome", or whatever you call it).

In my own interpretation of events, the G2 Megatron tank design was created by COBRA, and given to only two Transformers, the fledgling G2 Decepticons, Archfoce and Megastorm. Their presence on the battlefield would confuse the enemy, just as the other clone, Megaplex had done. These two would later go onto become Prefacons, with Archforce evolving into Galvatron, and Megastorm eventually becoming Gigastorm.

Since I'm in Texas, I see those Peterbilt trucks all the time. I think they are very similar to that if not the same.

Where they have a G1 prime toy redeco'd like this truck from terminator 2 and have 3 small pilot figures repesenting John Connor (who could be on a reissue and redeco of G1 Override) and Arnold!

Earth's last hope is John Witwicky Connors who also half cyborg/half Optimus Prime. Unfotunately, Skynet was too confident to realize a backdoor program left by Megatron later over wrote all his protocols turning it into Megatron's puppet as Megs uploaded his personality into Skynet

Both versions of G2 "Hero" Optimus Prime (Sureshot) and Megatron (Archforce) were sold in the UK as TRU had some Canadian imported ones that had the North American identities on them where as other UK stores got their stock from Hasbro Europe so they were branded as Archforce and Sureshot.

I'd say unless you like the way G2 toys have writing on them in terms of visuals the European versions look a little nicer with the more tasteful labels.

When it comes to second hand sales I've actually seen twice as many Hero Optimus Primes as I have Sureshot so it may be that people buying them in TRU was quite common in my area.

Shame Hasbro or Takara never released those moulds again as Optimus and Megatron - (rather than Bludgeon and Scourge) they'd have been nice to see in say shiny silver for Megatron (or green) and some colour scheme for Optimus that didn't give him white legs.

Even by modern standards they are still nice toys I also really enjoyed Rebirth Convoy too.

So it's a repaint of that the repaint gets. It is the ideal weapon for all your shooting Abe Lincoln related needs.
