does anyone know for certain that the shuttle will only be available in the box set?
Or will it be sold individually?

My assumption is "only is set" just as Groove.
But if you don't ask, you'll never know.

We don't know with certainty, but Takara has not released any Unite Warriors figures individually, and I don't expect them to start now; while we have pretty much no word from Hasbro on whether they plan to release Bigroove and Shuttle Blast Off in their markets. The safe assumption would be "no", but I remain cautiously hopeful.

The truth is if you want to make sure you get that shuttle blastoff than dont even think about it, just buy the UW version: http://www.anime-export.com/product/29861

Cheaper than Hasbro (its 88$) but costs more for shipping (since its from japan) and you dont have to pay taxes.

Thats what me and everyone else who wants the definitive modernized G1 Bruticus are doing.

Not at all. Modernized only refers to articulation and engineering in the context I was using.

I think he knew what you meant though what would you call hasbro upgrading blast off to better fit the theme of the group (though this is just the idea of going from a shuttle to a jet, not the end product which was just a repaint)

Not necessarily. Just make the entire tail fin section and the bottom of his feet white to make the top rear of the shuttle white. He'll have a little more black still, but it'll be broken up more that way.

It'll be interesting to see just how slavish they are when Blastoff is painted. Someone must have digitally painted this by now right? Besides, if they just straight repainted Blastoff into Movor the top of the shuttle would be orange or his chest would be white.

So far, we only had monochrome images for Takara's Unite Warriors UW 07 Bruticus, but now, thanks to a heads up from Seibertrontians Decepticon-Sunstorm and MemphisR56, we have out very fist colour images.
While these are not clear and have a big Robot Kingdom watermark over them, we get a sense of what Takara is trying to accomplish, which is perfect show accuracy. The Sunbow character models are shown below for comparison and you can see that Takara is trying to replicate every part of it, even the colour coded feet. The combiner chest also has the Blastof reference and there are grey/silver combiner mode parts for Onslaught.

Since the aim is for the animation colours, there is a huge difference from the Hasbro version's colours which instead imitate the G1 toy (also shown below for comparison).

Yeah and I just realized that Hasbro's brawl had a show accurate colour and not a toy accurate one.

Damn this looks so good. The color matching feet I'm not too crazy about but I think that has to do with my slight O.C.D. and blast offs colors seem to be an odd choice since they're too orange to be accurate to anything. That being said I'm so glad I preordered this guy.

Ooooh. Yeah I think that's a deal breaker for me. Personally he is fugly as hell. Think I might cave and just get that PE set with the grey head and save some cash. Hasbros version is just for me.

While recent events have put these out of my price range for the foreseeable future, I can still see how pretty they look.

Wow.....I knew he'd be more cartoon accurate, since that's Takara's thing, but this....

Blast Off is almost Swindle levels of brown. If anything, he should be a lighter olive green. Maybe it's just the photography, but I'm not caring for ANY of their colors, and the color-matching feet don't look good to me, either. Looks like I'm canceling my pre-order, which sucks, because I REALLY wanted a shuttle-mode Blast Off.

I'm super excited. I've already got mine preordered at Kapow. He's due in may apparently.

It's an interesting choice for them to cast the hand foot guns in the same plastic as the main bodies for brawl and swindle. I wonder if it'll affect the tolerances at all.

I'm hoping Perfect Effect will do a repainted version of their bruticus set to match the new little feeties.

I see they put some items on clearance they may be trying to get rid of, but I would think that with popular items they might have one ala Amazon. I just don't want it to be there today, and then suddenly gone tomorrow...

One thing you can try with BBTS and the like, is add them to your cart (as if you were going to buy them) then adjust the amounts. I think the max you can have of one item with BBTS is 24(?) so punch in a number like 50. It'll auto-adjust, and you'll be able to see that they have at least a certain amount left in stock
