I read A LOT of posts, and I have no trouble reading any of them with normal spacing.
We can all do our part to keep threads tidy and moving along efficiently. Like there is really no need to quote a an entire news post with 6 large images, just to say "It's SO COOL".

But, as I am reading through these posts, I am reminded that this is a thread about Unite Warriors and not post composition.

Has takara had a hand in designing all of the cw figures?

Just I wondered if the reason takara was able to do more with unite warriors is because they didn't have to pay to develop all the molds. So when it came to paint apps, there was more money to spend. This is just my theory however.

Damn the Hasbro version sucks. I honestly believe Hasbro picks crappy colors on purpose to continue to justify Takaras existence as the "Premium" deco company.

For whoever thought the blades on Vortex were longer, they are not. I just looked close. They only seem longer because the 2 taller looking rotors are closer together at the base. the rotors are the same length as usual:

those other two rotors look a bit of a mess(robot mode) coz at least with the original two...you could tuck those on the inside of the tailfins

By that image, it looks like the helicopter front is almost the same as the normal version.

That's because they're exactly the same.

That's originally what I typed, that they're exactly the same, however the windows seem to be slightly different. Maybe larger? Or actually now that I look at it, that may just be because it's unpainted.

Think I'll definitely pick this set up as they're not that much more exp at the mo (will change once the combaticons limbs get discounted).

I like the inclusion of a proper blast off, mainly cos I already have the aerialbot version.

Not super keen on the colours because I had the g1 toy as a kid and so am used to the grey chest shield and feet as well as the onslaught green legs,

I like the added rotors on vortex and the removal of the yellow, not sure about the blue. Would have like a remould tho as he'll be the third version I'll be getting. Maybe they coUld have given him a different tail section to bring him closer to the original?

Biggest disappointment is that they didn't improve onslaught,s guns. Would have liked them to be bigger and have a separate, extra hand held one.

You could get this set and then get the Perfect Effect gray Bruticus upgrade set to get an almost 100% g1 toy accurate color scheme. That's probably the way to go.

Wait a sec, guys. There's something very peculiar about what we see in these pics. Why are all of the Combaticons in these pics, instead of just the Blast Off figures, still in the gray prototype stage at this point? Four of them should all be done by this point since they're all just straight redecos of finished molds (though, Vorter's/Vortex's rotor is a retool, but you get the picture).

Somewhat hilariously they painted the Hasbro figures gray just to match Blast Off. AmiAmi posted (scroll down) some high quality images on their blog and you can see where the gray paint rubbed off the plastic is in Hasbro's colors. Vortex is the most telling, check out the paint rub on the shoulder sockets.

The others are the same way, plastic under the paint matches Hasbro.

The only Brawl fix I want is the waist joint.

Yeah, I am hoping for Groove and Blast Off to get releases from Hasbro using alternate names, but colored like G1 Groove and G1 Blast Off (dark brown, not orange like the UW version). That way people can replace the "offending" members of Defensor and Bruticus for a more G1 version of each. I worry that we may never see the Blast Off mold. Groove is coming with Computron (100% purchase for me!). Though we haven't seen what Strafe looks like. I could almost see them releasing Blast Off as the mold for Strafe.

I just want a 3PP head for Blast Off. I am fine with him in a plane body. I just wish they recolored Firefly instead of Quickslinger. If he had to be THAT jet, he should at least have been the one with a head that resembles his G1 head.

Shoot, I completely forgot about that picture. That is very much so a remold of Air Raid.

So...about the only hope for a Hasbro release of the Blast Off mold is a new character, hopefully still in Blast Off's colors.

I think Vortex looks like Incinerator from the 2007 movie toy line yes I know it's said his colors are based off G1 cartoon Vortex colors but the blue was darker in the show compared to the "Allspark blue" of Incinerator.

I think Vortex looks like Incinerator from the 2007 movie toy line yes I know it's said his colors are based off G1 cartoon Vortex colors but the blue was darker in the show compared to the "Allspark blue" of Incinerator.

I would love a Generations-style Incinerator out of the HFTD Highbrow / GDO Powerdive mold. The vehicle modes are off, but the robot mode would be spot on!
