That's cool. I like both versions about equally. The way I see it, Car Robots is the slightly superior version in which more things make more sense and which has the catchier music overall, while RiD has enough things in its version that I felt were either cool or funny enough to even things out with the original, and which did have a small amount things I did like better than in Car Robots (Dr. Onishi being more fatherly to his son in the dub than in the original, for one, or Cerebros's secret being technologically-based rather than Plasma's secret being more fantasy-based).o.supreme wrote:Sabrblade wrote:In light of this supposed UW Baldigus news, may I ask how many of ya'll here are fans of the RiD 2001 cartoon?
I'm more of a fan of the original Car Robots.

The reason I ask is because, back in November 2015, I wrote up a big RiD/CR reference guide in the TF cartoon/comics forum section, but it kinda got lost in all the IDW comics talk of the time. With this new CR-related news, I figure now might be a good time to bring back some attention to it.King Kuuga wrote:I enjoyed it at the time, but when my local station stopped carrying Fox Kids I never finished it. Last episode I saw was the cliffhanger where Megatron becomes Galvatron. I have since "acquired" all of Car Robots AND RID but never gotten around to actually watching them. I did meet Neil Kaplan at the one and only Savcon a few years back, though.

Reaaaaaally off topic.
Because the thread is about official Unite Warriors products, not KOs.Quantum Surge wrote:fenrir72 wrote:Quantum Surge wrote:Off topic, but what's the likelihood we'd get KO's based on the Unite Warriors line made similarly to how some KO companies do the ROTF Leader Class Optimus Prime reproductions?

How off topic is it when I mentioned UNITE WARRIORS?

How is Hasbro's Ruination different to Takara's Baldigus?

For some reason, Hasbro gave their figure a deco that looks nothing like the guy's cartoon colors.
