True in as far as it goes boss, but convention exclusives in the past have pretty much been obscure characters, new characters or 'what if' versions. The Seekers using the Classics moulds don't fit into any of those categories. While I realise that it wasn't a convention exclusive the example of the red Excillion was sited a few pages back. The original GF version was limited to something like 50 if I'm remembering that right and Hasbro managed to put out a similar version at retail. I just don't see how the Hasbro/FunPub deal
can limit what Tomy can produce in the way of toys intended for the Asian market.
Oh, and Skywarp-2, you're generalising again. I have the Botcon set, I'm in the UK so I payed extra for the shipping and didn't get a convention out of it and I would still support a Tomy release for the benefit of those who can't stump up the sort of money that the Botcon versions are selling for.
On the issue of Thrust's wings the mould is in all liklihood owned by Tomy since FunPub source their toys directly from them and sell them under license from Hasbro in the US. The moulds used for short run exclusives aren't designed to stand up to production run quantities however, so the mould couldn't be used for a potential Tomy release on those grounds. If it hasn't been destroyed it's probably only got another thousand or so uses before the casting quality degrades below acceptable standards. So if Thrust were to happen new wings would be needed.
