Profile: Tarn is an eloquent Decepticon. He enjoys nothing more than playing beautiful music as he waxes poetic quoting "Toward Peace" and other philosophical works, primarily by Megatron, though he is versed in nearly all Cybertronian philosophical writings and could quote several Autobot philosophies verbatim to their original authors, even if he does not ascribe to them. He is a student of Cybertron’s history and philosophy and, as such, has over time has created numerous philosophical writings of his own, detailing his thoughts about the nature of a spark, transformation, sentience and the Allspark. He tends to indulge these pleasures at the same time he's using his specially modulated vocal processor to inflict his own unique mark of justice, just as each of the other members of the Division are able to do. This is an ability he rarely employs, as he has not come to a definitive and satisfactory answer regarding what it means to destroy a spark itself. More often than not, he will allow a target of the Division to meet their end at the hand of one of the other justices unless compelling circumstances suggest that he do otherwise.

As a currently serving justice of the division, a unique group that serves simultaneously as judge, jury and executioners of those deemed worthy of being put on the infamous "List", Tarn epitomizes the mentality of the core of Decepticon High Justice. He is beyond zealous in his devotion to Megatron's cause, going so far as to emboss the Decepticon insignia onto his own faceplate. No traitor, no coward is capable of escaping his team. At least none have managed to do so yet.

Tarn's spark was initiated in the territory of his namesake, having been elevated to his current function within the cruel and unforgiving region that would also give rise to the one who would become a role model for Tarn in all things--Megatron. Megatron's philosophy of not being confined to pre-determined castes appealed greatly to the would-be justice, as he saw himself having a much greater destiny than that which he had originally been bestowed with. His loyalty to Megatron would prove him right.

Tarn, like all members appointed to the Decepticon Justice Division by Megatron himself, is physically powerful and capable of enforcing the tenants of Decepticon justice against most Decepticons. For those rare few whom he could not defeat individually, the other members of the division more than make up for any shortcomings. United against a common target, they are nigh-unstoppable.

But like many who are granted great power, the pressures of his function have led him to fall back on addictions that were present since the earliest days of his protoformic initiation. Developing an obsession with transformation, he changes form constantly, to the point where he has burnt through his original transformation cog long ago. Now he uses either those of the victims of the D.J.D. or cogs acquired through less direct means, feeding his addiction and ensuring he can continue putting the fear into those who would dare abandon the path of the Decepticons, and bring a torturous and painful death to those who already have.

Abilities: Subject possesses considerable strength and his nucleon-tempered titanium armor is resistant to most conventional artillery fire. Arguably his most recognizable and feared trait, after the insignia emblazoned across his face, is a dual fusion cannon attached to his right arm. While never officially tested in comparison to legendary weapons like Megatron's own fusion cannon, it is speculated that Tarn’s firepower does not fall much behind that of the leader of the Decepticons in normal conditions.

Weaknesses: Tarn is prone to bouts of obsession or addiction, and when he gets in one of these phases it can be difficult for him to focus on anything else. Over the long term, his addiction to transformation can hinder his judgment, as when he is badly in need of a fix.

Physically, the advanced weaponry that Tarn has had integrated in to his systems make him a deadly foe in battle, early on. But the price of using the dual-cannon technology is that it drains Tarn’s systems rapidly. If the conflict, or the target, is not ended quickly, Tarn’s usefulness on the battlefield decreases significantly. Unlike Megatron, Tarn's technological equipment does not allow him to draw upon the power of a black hole, as Megatron is believed to be capable of.
