I'm not sure how to feel.
I'd feel good about it. Sure it's loud and somewhat random, but it works pretty well. And it has a cool and awesome Thunderwing head! Can't go wrong there
I have no regrets ordering these guys. They fill some very interesting holes in a Generations collection, even if Sabrblade has basically convinced me we should have had a Thunderwing torso...
Mystery 7th figure???

Mystery 7th figure???
Too soon to speculate, but... which Wreckers with an altmode have we missed? Like a jet, car, helicopter, truck...

I was more suggesting a (unrealistic) wish that Thunderwing was the 7th figure. If only...

TF_JW wrote:There were about half a dozen, or probably more counting minor variations, different attempts at how to best compromise between vehicle mode and combined mode. And a (small for obvious reasons) number of people were involved in evaluating each one.
The main area of the chest was not a problem because it gets covered by the folding pieces that you mention. So that was able to have the gray and the black for the nod to Thunderwing. The waist flap and the shoulder wings, however, are all still visible in vehicle mode. Some of the pieces being very prominent. The waist piece was left green for this reason as well as the fact that Thunderwing has a significant amount of green on his waist in most of his depictions. The shoulder wings were given the gray stripes since those were small enough to not stand out on the vehicle's turret. And of course the black was added to the legs to help break up that green.
Looking at the overall colors scheme, the orange gets completely hidden, the brown is significantly downplayed and only remains visible in the hinges and similar parts, and the green actually makes sense to be in a lot of the places that it's in. So personally, I think it works fairly well at evoking the character it's meant to be referencing. Especially with all of the gray and blue on Needlenose and the touches of gray on Spinister.

Looking forward to it. Still on track for it to come out "on time" and not early summer with Botcon stuff once again?

We have some GREAT morning after TFSS 4.0 news! The TFSS 4.0 is up 40% over TFSS 3.0! Sales were strong start to finish. Just wow!
A BIG thanks to all of you that subscribed and ensured that this great service continues!
Thanks to EVERYONE who retweeted, shared the news on Facebook and to the fan sites that covered our updates and kept people engaged!
You all made this a big success, and we look forward to bringing you more great exclusives! And Stay Tuned. More coolness is on the way!
They've said a few times that they're going to cut this run very close to the sub number and not to expect extras in the club store. In other words, enough to exchange some for problems, and maybe you'll see some in the "buy random loose extras/let's make a deal" table at Botcon, but that's it. Which is fine by me, a "made to order" run being actually, roughly "made to order" makes a lot of business sense.megatronus wrote:ScottyP wrote:Looks like this set was popular: https://twitter.com/The_TF_Club/status/ ... 2071826432

That's great! Better sales means they'll probably produce a greater quantity of sets for the Club Store for those who missed out on the subscription window.
