Validation or not, idiotic posts or not, it's not Getter's place to put him in the spot light like that. Let Shortround succeed or fail on his own merits, not with the help of those who are supposed to help us.

Actually, this sounds like a bit of a statement of personal feeling, applied to the populous as a whole. Also something better handled in a PM?

TFBuyer wrote:Whoa there, fella--never called the guy "idiotic." And he's in the spotlight for the number of threads he starts for stuff like this, anyway. But hey, if he's got the inside track on this one and it's coming true, then more power to him. I'll take my Animated figs a month or so before they're supposed to be out. I even checked out a local K-Mart in Columbus this past weekend because of his info...

Just like the post about the commercial you saw for them.

Don't you think a comment like this could've been handled better via PM, IM, or email?Down_Shift wrote:Satan's Camaro wrote:Thats so unfair....
Damn those canadians!
LOL, just kidding, you guys are awesome.
I know we are
Either way, congrats man. I also called an early release on these and Universe. We may not have Universe yet, but I'm willing to bet we see them on the shelves before June. Remember, release dates aren't set in stone.
Congrats Magnimus! Has anyone seen them in Mississauga?
Hey Autobot032, what's so brow raising about Animated figures showing up here instead of your back yard?
Actually, I don't care that you guys are getting the figures, in fact, more power to ya.
I just can't understand why Cinci and Ontario were picked out of all the places to do this test marketing thing.
I could see LA or Chicago or NYC. I understand (though I think it's a bad move, considering they'll all be hocked left and right...) that Cinci is where BotCon will be this year, but I'm guessing the Canadian release us because of Toronto and it's metro area.
That's just a guess though...still, I can't figure this out. I consider it to be dumb. Either release them or don't, but figure out a plan and stick with it Hasbro! It's hard enough keeping up with the show!TFBuyer wrote:Just found Getter's post humorous--shortround is forever letting us know release dates based on not-so-confirmed information... The fact you say that with a straight face is mind blowing. I'm sure the multi billion company who has offices all over the globe and a team of marketing personal who make more in a month than some do in a year know exactly what there doing. If they wanted to "cash in" they would have released them after the 5th episode.

Now back on subject, even though I am in the states, I am wondering if I should have preordered all of these from HTS, if in fact theymight be out early. Here's hoping my figures arrive from HTS within the time frame of my items being able to be returned with thei receipts. Hopefully HTS follows suit if other stors start releasing early.

Autobot032 wrote:And I can tell you, personally, Columbus searching is a moot point right now. No one in that area has seen hide, nor hair of a single TF:A figure.
I've got some info about that area and they've yet to see anything. As far as they know, they're still on track for the dated release.
Autobot032 wrote:As of late, Hasbro hasn't been at the top of their game.
1.) Movie figure shortage. (considering all that was invested into the venture, product should've been made available.)
2.) Waiting to release Animated and continue with the sales of the Movie line. (It's apparent that they're not selling like they once had. The figures (of all classes) are starting to warm shelves left and right. The Movie is out of theaters and DVD sales most likely aren't as hot as they once were, helping to push the product. Waiting until June at this point would be stupid.)
Sure Hasbro's in it for the business, what company wouldn't be? But their tactics as of late have become crappy.
Waiting is stupid, when the current product just ain't cuttin' it.

Deluxe: Bumblebee, Prowl, OP, and Lockdown Voyager: Bulkhead, Starscream, and Megatron They also had the OP/Megatron Battle Begins 2-pack. They also had OP and Megatron Leader Class Premium figures. I think that all of the Wal-marts around the Cincinnati area are going to be full shortly. Go now, go fast. Maysville Wal-mart is on the AA highway just off of US62/68.

KY, eh?
That's good news, perhaps they'll trickle on to other states as the weeks pass.
Still, I like the idea of a set street date...gives me time to have all the cash I'm going to need.
