You mean the movie filled with painfully cheesy lines? And killed off half the cast, including Optimus Prime, in the first twenty minutes, replacing them with new, less impressive characters, simply because they needed to put new toys on the market?

Mike Bay claims he will be taking a so called break from the brand, hopefully in this time frame he can figure out a way to make a great TF film. I can only hope.

I don't recall any cheesy lines, if you could quote some for us, it would help

And that really is silly, because if you don't like his work, why in the hell would you support it by buying a DVD? I think, more likely, you just didn't get G1 on film, and it's giving you neeeeerrrrrdddd rrrrraaaaaaggggge. Remember, G1 wasn't the only TF universe that had any impact. Beast Wars was intelligent, funny, and handled beautifully. Animated was the best of the best and just knocked it out of the park.

He's already admitted that he's not going to buy the DVD.

What a sec..."because everyone does not agree with me"??
There are many post on this forum that feel how I feel Cyber Bishop, maybe you don't agree with me, but saying "everyone" sounds political. I end all my post to angry individuals with "peace & love" Me, Robinson & Shadowman were flagged earlier and I never pulled that flag.

When you say "I peacefully disagree" it's proper to follow it up with "but I respect your opinion." For future reference, "Grasping at straws" means that someone is trying poorly to support their argument, and typically when saying that you are not peacefully disagreeing.
Coolyfett wrote:As for "poorly supporting an argument, those are your words not mine buddy. I again peacefully disagree.

Look man, you cannot say that he has made 2 bad films when you're not even going to see this in the theaters.
True, there were some parts I didn't like about the movie, but so what? Was the movie terrible? No.
Special effects of the first movie = win
Humor? Name one action movie that didn't have some form of humor in it not to mention it was PG-13, what did you expect, rainbows and bunnies and flowers? In this day and age, some PG-13 movies would be rated R back in the 80's.
I can respect the fact that you didn't like the movie, or like Bay for that reason. I'm happy that he's bringing Transformers to a whole new generation and I think he should be given some sort of props.
I suggest you do not automatically generalize the new movie until you see it.
As for more characters? I would like to see more, you can't expect the same characters all the time, that's why they killed off so many in the 86 version. New characters = new interest = new toys = new money. I personally would like to see Springer and Blitzwing in the 3rd movie along with the combaticons.

I dont think bishop is that happy that he has to get brought into threads like this the while still remaining civil is a very ridiculous topic to begin with.
I bet he like to babysit too.Coolyfett wrote:The film was rushed. It normally takes about year to make a great film..."normally" TF2 was made in like a year and 1 half.
Aside from all the back and forth crap this part of your post confuses me cooly. You said it takes about a year to make a great film and tf2 was made in 1 1/2 years. So if it took longer to make than a "great film" how is it rushed at the same time?
