Real Devastator alerted us to a post on ACToys.net showing off new images of TFC's Gears of War set 2 showing off the 4 rifles the set contains.

So I don't know, 4 rifles? 40 dollars? 10 dollars a rifle? or is this set going to be 70.00 in which case..17.50 per rifle?

I mean they look cool.. and I want to support Igear on their products.. because I really truly want them to produce a good TFC007 and TFC008 Autobot Ark and Decepticon Headquarters playsets..

but I can't see buying these gun sets (not as yet).. I like the fact that we get a Prime Gun that looks like the original..and that is a big bonus to add to any Henkei Prime figure..

but I'm just not sold on the cost or worth of this product.. and the glossy images of the guns looks really bad..really bad.. if the final molds are done they should do them in a semigloss plastic.. with a slight sheen to it, not a super polished wet paint look like the images portray.. and the light sections should be plain and clear with no energy striations throughout.. it makes it look like the gun is charged with Blue neon glowing paint..

like the gun shoots Goo, and not energy..

I will have to see a review of the final product before I decide to buy it..

Hmmm, I'd only want the Classic's rifle for Prime...I don't have movie Prime and I don't care much for my Alternity. I'd say $15 for one and $25 for two would be a fair price for a 3rd party accessory.

hmmmm.......
if the rumors are true we'll probably see another movie prime fig with the transforming rifles. therefore, i don't see a reason to even buy the rifles. i think it looks odd on the alternity primes and as one poster mentioned, the high gloss looks really kills the look of the rifle.

sorry actoys.....but i don't think i'd foot the bill for something not really worth it's price.

So do these actually light up like those images show or are they just using clever back lighting to make it look like they do? If they do light up then I might just have to buy as I have every Prime in their little presentation. Alternity Prime needs a gun.

Pretty sure it's just light-piping...No electronics as far as I'm aware...

Ultimately price will determine whether or not I buy these but I really like what I'm seeing so far...I already have FansProject's gun for Alternators Prime but I still have plenty of other Primes that could use guns and I'm digging how all of these look...Definately something to keep an eye on...

Nope, it's the same gun with different things attached to the end to scale it up or to make it look different.

It's an interesting idea, although I'll wait for reviews to see if quality is improving.

Alright, forgive for the terribly newbish question, but from my understanding I take it as igear and TFC toys to be the same company, or are they completely different. I noticed in another recent thread that someone posted pictures of igear packaging for the TF001 and similar products that are coming out. Also, if I may qoute you, skywarp2, you said you want to support igear on thier products (referring to these TFC weapon sets I believe). Are they the same company or two different entities that produce third party accessories on their own? Also, does TFC have a website of their own where I may view their product lines? Ive been to igear and couldnt find anything on these products. Thank you.

Two different companies. And TFC's website is useless unless you can read Chinese.

I said it in a different thread and I'll say it again. It's the same gun with add-ons. You can tell by looking the 4-up pic: 1, 3 & 4 are all the same gun (Classic & ROTF using add-on). 2 is smaller and has less piping (Alternity gun).

The translation says:

"Accessories package includes:
Classic Series of revolvers and Optimus Prime (Built-LED LED module)Film series revolver equipped with armored Rectangle Alternity A-01 Optimus Prime revolver, with removable LED light-emitting module

1 classic + 1 A-01 machine guns + armor film shot of a change"

So it appears there are 2 guns plus add-on accessories in this set and they will light up some how (note white buttons).

Ahh okay, thank you, that cleared up a lot of questions!

Being new in this hobby is tough with all the terminology that floats around. I must say, both igear and TFC seem to make some really awesome products for our Transformers! I hear some of the items can get pricey though.

If you're trying to get your head around things, I'd suggest taking a look at this article which should help you see what's out there in terms of 3rd party stuff, and other things.
