While I have no preference over Hercules' optics it would be nice to have the option to choose ourselves, and I think the fans have been vocal enough on the topic that it'll probably happen. (TFClub really seem to be stepping up to the plate on this one.) I wouldn't want a detachable visor though as I fear it'd be a little cumbersome. If memory serves the head is made of a two part shell (front and back). Would it be asking too much to have two different front shells: one with a visor and one without?

My only real problem I'm foreseeing with the head is poseabilty (apparently that's not a real word. Who knew??). These aren't the first photos we've seen of Hercules where his head has appeared a little off to one side, most likely due to Dr. Crank's crane. While not strictly G1 accurate I'd love it if they had a hole on Hercules' back into which the crane could be plugged.

My only opinion on the state of the chest wing is that I don't have one. My Hercules will be going IDW bare-chested. The hussey!!!

All in all: looking B-E-A-Utiful TFClub. I can't wait to have the completed set. On the other hand my wallet is readying a cyanide capsule and a pistol with a single round in the chamber. I wonder which one of us they're for; him or............

Hercules is supposed to be bigger than Maketoys Giant correct? Giant was pictured next to Fansproject Bruticus and shown to be roughly the same size. I just held up my United Bumblebee package to Bruticus and they were about the same size (package was slightly taller excluding the back guns). So if Hercules is as tall as United Bumblebees package, that would make Hercules and Giant about the same size. However, Hercules is supposed to be bigger than Giant.

I've thought about this, too. Indeed, it does seem like Hercules and Giant won't be too different in height, given that the 12 or 13 inch height has apparently been confirmed by TFC people. Herculues is probably a bit taller, at least. A lot of the difference could also be accounted for by Hercules being wider and deeper than Giant,I suppose.

alternity bb is next to them and hes roughly 6in. tall and he comes up to hercules knee joint so my guess is unicron size 15in or so. so maybe a head taller than bruticus?

Sounds like these are gonna be closer in size than people think...probably about a 2 inch difference or so.

But please reconsider putting a visor on him. The head flat out sucks. Everybody has a G1 version of Devi and nobody wants a remake of the original toys crappy head.

 Did you...did you just say something negative about G1 toys! Has that ever happened before?

In my opinion a true G1 fan swears by cartoon accuracy, not toy accuracy. Except for a few spoiled 1980's kids who parents bought them every toy, all we ever knew was the cartoon. So Devastator had a visor, Triggerhappy had a face plate, Red Alert's head was red, etc. Buying all the figures I never had as a kid and seeing how inconsistant they are with the cartoon has been interesting.

I really do want this in the end, if only after paying close attention to the scale guide for the cartoon (yeah, grew up with it too). Though I'm stuck wondering if we'll ever see any of the other combiners in this scale. We need a Bruticus that can punch him in the chops, blast it!

Funny you say that. I just got the purple thigh version of the Crazy Devy add-on as I'm unsure whether I'll prefer silver or purple once the reissue Devastator is released. And not having had a Devastator since the original release as a kid, I was shocked by how bright green the green on the piece is (it being the only Crazy Devy piece with green). Then I looked back at old pics and they were pretty damned bright green for the time…

That looks amazing!

If only the 6 individual robots that make up this toy weren't $100 a piece...
I could spend maybe $100-150 on a complete set, but $600 is just too far outside anything I can justify.

I still have my G1 Devy, in the construction yellow color, with purple trim, and no visor.

As for those with chest wing complaints. The G1 wing does interfere with a "natural" movement of the left arm. So if this 3rd party version has somehow solved that problem...

As for the price tag, I flat out can't afford it, but that is not stopping me from needing a napkin when i see the pics. If only we had a drooling emoticon.

Bots: G1 Bumblebee; Balance of Aerialbots(I have Air Raid)

I got the silver version of the legs from Crazy Devy, so maybe I wasn't as shocked. The green on G1 Devy is paler (even taking in consideration of two decades of color mutations). Overall Hercules is nice, but reminds me more of Energon Devastator.

The Rolls Royce of Transformers toys. Very cool but $600 is quite an investement. Still want to see detailed reviews for all of them.I want to know how articulated the combined form is. Got a good idea for the right arm , thanks to the Exgraver review. But what about the legs?Any waist/chest movement?

Untill they announce a collectors set, we can only hope and pray that they do. Unfortunately as they are a 3rd party dev, they will rely on the single unit price to make them money

I just found this on the TFC facebook (failbook as they call it) page:

So it seems the head fulfills all of our fears, perhaps we must talk louder to be heard about this issue, since I really'd like better a black head w visor than the gray one of the image, and not having to buy it from a 3th (4th?) party ... that's the voice of people, well, chinese really don't care that much about it, but at least make it the voice of the buyers.

Went to the tfclub website and clicked on the image of Heavylabor. It then directed me to this website:

http://item.taobao.com/item.htm?id=12453781220

I hit translate and it had the release dates of the last 4 of the set:

Structor built by 2011.11

Dr.Crank industrial engine division 2011.12

Neckbreaker demolition pile hands 2012.3

Mad Blender nerve knife 2012.4

So it looks like about April\May Hercules will be complete.

MP-01 may be standing on something. MP-01 is too tall compared to Springer and Optimus Prime Voyager on the top shelf.
