Okay, my two cents? He doesn't look too bad. I don't care about the foot not going anyhwere in non-combined mode. Their Superion's hands/fists didn't IIRC. He'll go into combined mode within a day or two of me getting him anyway. And the Protectobots are probably the last-memorable of the G1 Autobot combiners anyway.

I agree. I think TFC has resorted to "hey it's part of a combiner, buy it!" I don't think I like any part of his robot mode.

And that's a big problem for me. I don't like paying $100 for just a foot. Sure, I keep my combiners in gestalt mode most of the time. But every now and then I like to take them apart and have team poses. I loved Hercules, lost some of that interest while picking up Uranos, and have yet to purchase a single piece of Ares. The 3rd Party market has exponentially increased, and for one of the originals to half-ass it like this... I expect to pay half-ass prices. Which I'm pretty sure won't happen. So, I'll likely skip this project and play with my $15 Drift figure, and better gestalts.

He's about the size of a larger autobot car, so he will fit right in with them, and I'm guessing Hotspot will be a bit longer in the thigh to make up any minor height differences, so overall height should still size well with Herc & Uranos.
As for Gumball being "boring" have you not looked at Streetwise in a while? He's definitely a candidate for single dullest Transformer of all time ever.
what am i looking at? groove? why does he come in two different colors? (looks like red vs gold?)Autobot Genocide wrote:

My thoughts too. I don't think TFC captured Groove's character at all.

Groove has a character outside of "part of Defensor"?
I dunno why there's two prototypes. One matches the cartoon and toy ... I guess the other is TFC standard "different for the sake of different."
Gauntlet101010 wrote:Maybe, but his chest has an indent in the middle and vents off to the side. And the head looks passable (a TFC rarity).
Gotta say, after they changed the alt. mode, there's not a whole lot they can do to change up the robot mode. And this is TFC we're talking about here. They make things different. It shouldn't be a surprise.
Apparently, there's another Defensor on the way (according to Preaugh at TFW anyway), so you have that to look forward to.
ooooooo really? please let it be FPGauntlet101010 wrote:Apparently, there's another Defensor on the way (according to Preaugh at TFW anyway), so you have that to look forward to.
