I think you guys will like the set this year. I'll be going again this year, it's always been well done in the past and like others I've made many friends there over the years.

There's one tinsy thing they are leaving out of their announcement just yet from what I hear, but if it's true then it's sure to get everyone on board this year!

I really want the exclusive but am in the Southern USA. If anyone is going and might be able to pick up or part with a head robot, shoot me a PM. They're selling a non-attending package, but it's $110... but the figure is around $40 if you attend.

Fort Max? Is that who Stronghold is (the head certainly suggested this, but I have to imagine it's going to take a bunch of Reprolabels and still won't look right) ?

Still, I'd rather HeadRobots just put out their Voyager Bludgeon head first.

I'm just glad that the 3rd party product this year is a Headrobots figure. I hated last year's figure with a passion. I'm looking forward to having this on my US Onslaught, and I liked the head when it was done for Hardhead and I think this will be pretty bad ass for "Stronghold".

And my TFCon figure is now secured!!

Looking forward to this year's show! Stronghold looks cool.

EDIT, looks like the link was already posted, but I missed it. Oh well.

Anyway, I'm looking forward to this year's show. I've been every year since 2004.

Just yesterday TFCon unveiled "Stronghold", an exclusive deco of HeadRobots Hothead. Today, TFCon upped the ante by revealing some of Stronghold's backstory:

TFcon 2011 registration goes is now online. You can pre-register online for TFcon 2011 via this link. Preregistration will run until July 16th at 12pm.

The TFcon 2011 exclusive is Stronghold, produced by Head Robots. Designed for the Universe Onslaught mold and cross compatible with Generation 1 Headmasters, Stronghold will be limited to 700 pieces. This is a high-quality upgrade kit that contains a transforming head with ball joints and clear blue eyepiece, two photon rifles, one assault cannon, and a backpack. The backpack features many mounting points so the guns can be configured in many ways. This exclusive will come with a bonus set of Reprolabels that will transform your old action figure into an all new character for your collection.

In command of a lost band of Transformers from before the Great War, Stronghold must now deal with the likes of an escapee war criminal in the form of Zarak. 2011 sees the return of the TFcon art and custom contest. There will once again be 2 categories attendees can enter; 2D, and 3D. Pieces entered in previous years cannot be entered again as well as no collaborative entries, the piece has to be 100% your own creation. Limit of two entries per person. For more details check out the TFcon contest information page.

TFcon Art Contest

This year sees the return of the TFcon Toronto art contest. Entries may be submitted from 9 am until 12 pm the Saturday of the convention. After 12 pm all art pieces will be judged by the TFcon Art Judges. The winner will be announced at a time on the event schedule. This year there will be 3 categories for the art contest attendees are welcome to enter, 2D, 3D, and costume. All entries are to be PG-13. Pieces previously entered cannot be entered again. No collaborative entries, the piece has to be 100% your own creation. Limit of two entries per person.

2D entries can be anything from a painting, black and white drawing, color drawing, computer render print out, basically anything that’s on a flat piece of paper qualifies for this category. It is preferred that any 2D entry be mounted, framed or in a protective covering. 3D entries can be anything from a diorama, kitbash/custom, toy repaint or statue.

2D entries will be judged on originality, perspective, creativity, lighting/shadows, application of color/tones, detail, realism/suspension of disbelief and the judges overall impression. 3D entries will be judged on detail, originality, use of color, proportions, realism, use of materials, innovativeness, neatness and the judges overall impression.

The 3D art contest prizes will be custom made trophies from TFcon. These prizes will only be offered to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place entries so be prepared to come ready to compete!

TFcon wecolmes back Garry Chalk to celebrate the 15th anniversary of Beast Wars! :KREMZEEK:

The voice of the iconic Optimus Primal and G1 Megatron in Beast wars, Optimus Primal and G1 Optimus Prime in Beast Machines, plus Optimus Prime in Transformers Armada, Energon and Cybertron; Mr. Chalk will be taking part in a Q&A panel and autograph sessions with the attendees of the Canadian Transformers Collectors Convention.

I would so love to go after all the work I put into this and the pass they offered me but it would cost me $750 just for travel and lodging.

I've already got 2 other major conventions to attend as well as Anime Blues Con here in Memphis which will be our first anime convention. I will be moderator as well as a guest on the voice actors' panels and the 80s cartoon panel which I'll be showing off some of my videos.

This looks awsome! I just booked my room. This is going to be my first TFcon, I've been to BotCon a few times before, is it much different? Canada was actually cheaper and closer than Pasadena, so why not? Anyway hope to see some of you there!

Awesome! A panel devoted simply to 3rd parties. Can't wait to read what they announce. Either that or this is a ploy to lure them out for Hasbro to take a shot at them, legally speaking of course.
