Since I reformatted my last three vehicle TF's into animals, I doodled up what Stormflash might look like in his fluffy beastie body:



Yeah, looks like a cheap ripoff of Silverbolt but he's supposed to be a Hippogryph, of all things. I am thinking about a kitbash, but coming by the stuff I'd need to chop up is a little tough (well, not the horse parts. I got plenty o' plastic horses for the back legs/ tail). If anyone has any plastic eagles/birds of prey that they wouldn't mind me chopping the head off of, though, lemme know. >>;

Cool group pic thar Kaijubot! I never got into the spritemaking, TBH. I tried it for a while but it just was too tedious... and given my attention span, hehe...

Anyway, I have a filler TF on my team right now named Dialga (no bio or nothin', he's just there to occupy space), named after... yeah, you guessed it: one of the new legendary dragon Pokemon that recently debuted with the Nintendo DS games, Pokemon Diamond and Pokemon Pearl. Me actually drawing this TF was kickstarted by a guy that's doing a Beast Wars/PK crossover and needed original characters as fodder...

His altmode (official Pokemon art by Ken Sugmori, of course) for those who don't know what he's supposed to be:

You can tell it was inspired loosely by BW Neo Longrack (beast head on forearm, legs folded behind upper back, etc) ... I know, I've done the unthinkable by merging TF's and Pokemon together... but hey, it isn't like I've done this twice before or anything.

Looks good, Windy. Given the number of pokemon alts in the fan-made alts thread I'm sometimes surprised we don't see more like this.

I actually need to do a new groupshot of my team since I keep tinkering and improving them (or in Scrapheaper's case make a wholely new sprite).

To Windy: Stormflash has promise, and I actually think the overt Silverbolt touches were a nice choice, but where's the lower body?! Must see more of the structure! And congratulations, you did make a pokemon into a badass.

To Digibashers: I'm working on reformatting my team to all beastmodes for v2. My main character will no longer be a Helo then, so neither recolor I made (below), or the one Whisper made (my desktop wallpaper for like 6 months there), will work anymore. Caelus is going to be a Transmetal Phoenix instead, so anyone want to take a crack at recoloring G1 or Energon Divebomb in the appropriate pyrophilic colors?

I'd try IDW's Hearts of Steel for a couple of train transformer. There's Optimus on the main site, uncolored.

Simply awesome Windy. You certainly have a talent for making Beast Mode Transformers. not that it was unestablished at this point but you turning a Pokemon like that into a TF and having him have such a well designed robot mode is true skill.
