This might be slightly off topic but still somewhat relevant. In the movie, some robots are depicted as being smarter than others which leads me to ask, are they robots that are sentient or are they sentient beings that happen to occupy a robot body?

Being the main "big bad," and all, he should have been either saved for the third movie or introduced in the second movie and defeated in the third movie. I also wish that he had kept Optimus dead in ROTF and waited until the third movie to bring him back. I had been hoping for an "Empire Strikes Back" kind of ending for ROTF (ending dark, with the bad guys having the upper hand). Another mistake was casting Megan Fox. I think he should have used Ellen Paige. She's way better looking (in my opinion), and can actually act.

because everyone knows that big box office is a clear indicator of quality, and all those serious critics opinions are worthless
