I no longer believe Cobotron and carytheone, especially since I enabled a bad purchase for the first, and have hung out too much with the latter to trust him (
I know Optimus can be a little underwhelming, but what's your experience with him?

To be honest, my first reaction was "not bad, I guess I'll keep them". I personally find their heads to be too small, but then I guess the figure would need to be larger overall to accommodate a larger head and keep with the aesthetic. I don't mind the quick transformations, and they are tons better to me than the Gold Armor Grimlock I had (and returned), but I guess after transforming and handling a lot of the figures I've bought and sold in the last few months my perspective has changed on what I want in a figure. Something I don't really think I can quantify until I handle the figure.Dr Va'al wrote:Ok, time for me to ask - how do you find those two critters?

Funny side note: the reason I usually keep all of my packaging for my figures is due to the fact that I'll return it if I don't like it. Only after 6 months will I get rid of the inserts/plastic bubbles for storage. My wife calls me the "king of returns"
Back on topic, I've been cross-pollinating my display as of late and really wish Megatronus was bigger to fit with my FoC Shockwave, FoC Starscream, and Generations Thunderwing. He is clearly the smallest out of all of them and it is only apparent when displayed with other "deluxe class" bots. I should have a picture of those four together either today or tomorrow to show what I mean.
EDIT: I feel like this is your first comment on the collection of stuff and things?! WELCOME!!

See, the only one I still have is Greenlock, who is my baby, and I will never get rid of. Until I do.
But OP was the only other on from the line that intrigued me enough aesthetically, even Sideswipe only lasted a day or so in the house. But I had heard bad things about OP.
Hmmm.

My opinion you shall get anyway and now out of spite
I like OP just fine despite any negativity you maybe have heard. He's even better with the mitten mod I've done. He is stronger in bot mode for sure, but I find his alt mode cool because it includes the trailer and I think that's a pretty good achievement for a warrior and smaller. Transformation is intuitive and fun much like the rest of the rid line. Posability is good and I've been able to get some cool stances with him. He is one of the weaker figures in the line and would benefit from being a larger figure.
Megatronus is much the same when it comes to size. Could be bigger but I'd put him on the upper end of the RID spectrum. His posability is off the charts and I have a post with some cool poses. Transformation is pretty much what you'd expect but the legs are clever. Basically a modified H tank with bonus points for having a working turret. I'll take half a point off for just using the waist swivel though.
Both fine figures and worth a spot in your collection if you're collecting RID. Actually I'd recommend Megs as a stand alone figure.

Aww. Care what didja do? Recommend something other than Alpha Bravo? You should know by now, that even if the question is "what should i have for breakfast?" the answer is Alpha Bravo.carytheone wrote:My opinion you shall get anyway and now out of spite![]()

Care-them-all is just too nice and caring. And has a nice knife. If you know what I mean.

Hmm. That's the thing, I don't collect RID, and am actually still trimming the shelves. Will keep pondering.
By the time the wave reaches Italy, we'll probably have moved the shoreline, anyway.

They ended up being on ultra clearance (hence no box-top). $38 and some change.

If I didn't know the MPs were KO, you wouldn't know they were!!
Referring to the quality that is. Perfect. No blemishes.

Except for the Takasa Tony logo on the box, plus the C near the number. I've bought one of these (Wheeljack), so I should know.
And yeah, the quality on not-Wheeljack was very good, aside from the gun not fitting in his hand properly, along with a few paint blemishes.

And N, clearly the box and the Tony logo on the figure itself give it away. I was referring to quality!!
Also, it's weird how that Wheeljack one had issues (yours and others) but most of the others releases didn't. And the TakasaTony/TakaraTomy variants within the KO world?! Why they do?!

On the subject of Takasa, I really hope they make a Star Saber or something so I can buy him for really cheap.
