She's the Mistress/Master. They have a tendency to be a bit nutty in the people department. For all we know, the Master could've seen it as the Doctor could've taken his place in charging back into the Time War with Rassilion.

I would've loved it if they'd started the Master's theme when she identified herself, that creepy up and down one.

Sims Master was a little unhinged, Gomez's Mistress seems like a cross between Sims unhinged and Delgado/Ainley's cold calculating evil. And The Master always had a habit of seeing things in a different way to The Doctor.

Throw this theory out there ... what if it was The Master who gave The Doctor his new regeneration cycle and is now just pissed off that The Doctor hadn't done a damn thing to find him/her and the rest of the Time Lords?

Seriously ... 50th anniversary followed by Christmas special revealing Galifrey is still out there and they spend an entire season forgetting that huge fact!

Plus I got a feeling that Danny and the little lad will help in stopping things. I'm still holding out that Seb is the master and missy is a trick. He certainly had more of the master ticks that john simm had.

Quoth the Joker: "Well, look who it is. I haven't seen you for, how long as it been? Let's see, there was an asylum, some monsters, and oh, that's right, you left me to die! Now you probably don't remember it that way, but who cares?"

A good villain doesn't need to remember things correctly.

Interesting theory, and your right, nothing has been said, I expected some of this season to deal with it. Instead we get more talk about him being the last. Only way they could be in it now (this season that is) is if the reason missy built this army was to go and conquer galifrey (once he destroyed the earth of course)

There's promotional images floating around of The Doctor in a cemetery, and of Rory and Amy's graves.

Will they rip on the heart strings and have Rory and Amy rise from the ground as Cyberm...err...people?

I really hope there's a good story reason for this, and not some cheap pull of the heart strings.

So there were no heart strings pulled for Rory and Amy, no, they pulled an even bigger heart string with the Brigadier. Just glad they didn't try to "resurrect" any other former associates.

Overall it wasn't a bad season finale, disappointed they disintegrated Osgood.

Poor Danny.

But I gotta say, the end bit with Santa was awesome.

Kinda disappointed that a lot of the episodes with the Daleks and Cybermen end with a heroic Dalek/Cyberman saving the Doctor's ass and then committing suicide. Well, there still is rusty, so we'll see.

Kinda bummed about Osgood. I'm assuming Joss Whedon helped write the script in that case.

The Mistress's wanting the Doctor's friendship back was very interesting.

It was a nice way to send off Clara, though I feel that she'll show up for the Christmas Special. I love the Doctor smashing the Tardis controls was a great moment. I loved the moment between Clara and the Doctor in the café, both lying about having lost something of importance.

But do you remember what the Brigadier's daughter (forgot the name) said about the tip-off about St. Pauls? "We got a tip-off from some Scottish woman."

Hmmmm.....Could Amy be showing up again? Ala Rose?

Oh, and there's the official teaser:

I thought the "Scottish woman" was Missy.

I love the "Who you gonna call" line in the teaser, I'm just going to assume it's a Ghostbusters reference because it's the Christmas special, will be aired on Christmas and Ghostbusers will turn 30 this Christmas.

Yeah, Osgood dying was a bit of a bummer.

Maybe, but it seemed like an odd thing for Missy to do. It doesn't make sense, though, to be fair, this Master made Sims look mild in the psychotic department

How is it odd? She called Clara "my Clara", she made it perfectly clear that she wanted the Clara and Doctor together. She even used a Scottish accent! It makes perfect sense as it was clearly explained.

As for comparing her to Sims ... well no, don't do that. Compare her to Delgado and Ainley. She was closer to them and they were both psychotic. As much as I like John Sims, he was a terrible Master.

How was the kid able to return? With Missy's bracelet that allowed her to travel between places? Missy had a physical body, I assume that the physical body remained in St Pauls while her consciousness entered the Nethersphere (which as was pointed out was nothing more than a data repository that had uploaded "souls"). So how was the kid able to return then?

Right, well it wasn't the worst...but it wasn't the best by a long shot. Was a bit more at ease with missy and her identity, and as much as I love the cybermen, this wasn't the best of them. Admittedly seeing them rise from the graves was a nice shot, invoking them coming out of their holes in Tomb of the Cybermen (my favorite Cybermen adventure).

This won't be the last of Clara (sadly), her send off wasn't final enough, making me guess they sorted out her contract. As much stick Danny got, I liked him just wish that he got a bit more development instead of becoming a human plot device.

The best thing though is Capaldi has proven (to me at least) that he is more then capable of being the doctor, now let's see some stories that match him.

And yes, the Santa part at the end was hilarious, so now both stars of the cornetto trilogy have been in Who

How was Missy able to jump out of a plane, enter the Nethesphere on the way down, then appear in a new body shortly after?

Why would she need a new body? She teleported didn't she?

Much like at the end, you can JUST see a beam of light hit her before she disappears even though it looks like she teleports.

Or the Nethesphere can just construct new bodies; she didn't teleport into the Nethesphere, she got in there the same way as everyone else. She just had the method of getting back out.
