Nemesis - Corridors

Pain. That's all Firestar felt as she was brutally thrown and crushed by the weight of her commander. Wait, her commander!

She snapped out of her haze just in time to get orders from Chromia.

“Firestar, Nautica, get him out of here! I don’t care what he says!”

Yes ma'am.

With effort, she pushed herself out from under Thunderclash. Firestar retrieved her lent firearm and squeezed off a couple shots at the Decepticons. She was going to be slagged if she let them get to her commander.

With a grunt, Firestar grabbed Thunderclash under the arms and pulled him up and off Nautica. "Nauty, grab his legs, and don't stop until we get him to safety."

She then leaned down and told Thunderclash in a reassuring voice. "You helped us, sir. Now let us help you."

Nemesis – Corridor approaching Hangar:

In only a couple nanokliks, Boss was flying in the other direction from Road Rage as Thunderclash came flying at them.

"FRAG!" shouted Boss as he rushed over to his commander's side.

Boss saw Road Rage was close to the opening. Good. She was almost safe. Change of focus.

Then... several rockets came very close to Boss. Shrapnel and bits of metal from the resulting explosions bolted at Boss's armor plating. He looked to see who was the offender in this case. Boss's optics glowed a brighter red as he quickly pulled out his own blaster and took a few shots towards his sworn enemy, Falcon.

"And it's good to see you too, Falcon!" Boss shouted mockingly.

Moonracer ran after Chromia and Road Rage before seeing Thunderclash hit the ground with a resulting crash. Her optics darted back and forth as she panicked. What do I do!?

As firepower flew past Moonracer, she ran. And eventually she made her decision to follow after Road Rage, and hopefully take some killing shots at Skyquake and his crew from behind the hole in the wall.

"I'll hold you to that 'Lita!"

"I know you will!" Elita-1 quipped back as she kept firing, doing her best to provide cover for the others who needed to get through the opening that Windblade had made more urgently than she.

"It's done? Really? Great! Get the others through. I'll give you cover fire," Roulette said.

"You're the worst," Elita said with a smirk. "No heroics. I want you right behind us."

Firing off one more shot, Elita ducked through the opening.

"Nauty, grab his legs, and don't stop until we get him to safety."

“No…” Thunderclash managed in his agonized state. His legs moved sluggishly as he tried to find a footing that was not on Nautica. He could at least walk. That was the least he could do for his subordinates. His comrades. Friends. He craned his head around look at Firestar and paused when he saw the concern and urgency in her face. Even now, Skyquake was barreling down on them. He couldn’t afford to be selfishly heroic.

"You helped us, sir. Now let us help you."

“Alright,” Thunderclash managed, allowing his weight to rest on Firestar while he limped along beside her. Hobbling through the small opening in the wall unsteadily, Chromia nodded as she watched them go. Good. ‘Lita was in, and so were most of the injured. Not too shabby. Only a few stragglers left. Backing towards the opening, she continued opening fire.

“Everyone in! Go, go, go!”

"And it's good to see you too, Falcon!"

That bastard. Falcon snarled. It was too easy for Autobots to get under his plating. It was what had led to his downfall as a commander and the relinquishment of his command to Skyquake. Now, he put his trust in Skyquake. If his commander told him to stop, he would without question. Falcon couldn’t trust himself to know when to stop.

Surging forward, Falcon suffered several shots to his plating. But he was on him. A grin formed on his faceplate as he reeled back and shot a punch to Boss’s faceplate.

“Why yes, why don’t you stay a while?!”

Nemesis -- Hangar Bay

Windblade watched intently as her rescuers began to file through the opening that she made in the door. The woman stood and watched, hands outreached to those filing through as to help them through the gap, though she noticed few needed it. Her spark raced. Energon gushed through her veins and flooded her system with flustered nerves.

A chill slowly rolled its way down her spine as she thought about what had just transpired. She had a sword. She had a sword and she knew how to use it. She didn't know when she learned or why she knew, but she was certain of one thing: She knew martial arts. It was like her frame held a memory of the past, her servos tensing with every sound, itching to whip around and take a defensive stance.

She turned away from the gap to clear her head. For something so devoid of memories, her mind certainly felt full enough. To get her mind off what had just transpired, she looked out over the hangar and observed a plethora of shuttles and other various aircraft. Panicked Vehicons, Seekers and other Decepticons all ran amok, desperately finding their own shuttles to flee in whilst those who could fly all simply transformed and flew through the massive shield at the end of the long, dark hangar bay.

Rust fell from the ceiling as plates shifted and groaned, pistons breathing to life after an eternity of stasis. Lamps flickered, fell and shattered on the hangar floor. Rumbling beneath Windblade's feet cautioned her to more pistons doing the same.

She felt a presence, and it felt angry.

Windblade looked back over to her allies as they filed through the opening and asked with urgency, "Do you... Feel that?"

Falcon shot a punch at Boss' face. It hit enough to dent, but Boss turned his head enough to avoid much of the impact.

“Why yes, why don’t you stay a while?!”

Boss had wanted to do this for a long time. It felt right. So very right.

The Turbomaster thrust his fist in an uppercut towards Falcon's throat.

"Depends on your schedule, friend!"

"Worse? Ha! You wish you had these skills!" Roulette said in a light-hearted tone as she continued to fire more quickly now but still with precision, trying to keep as many heads as she could down. As the others left, however, she became more exposed and some shots began to get through.

"Ow! Slag..." She reacted as she got hit but she continued to supply cover fire, slowly backing back towards the opening. There were some more stray hits but she stayed calm, as was her training. As she got closer she began to focus more on firing on the Decepticons that were near stragglers. She noticed Boss engaged with Falcon and took a shot at the Decepticon so that he could get over here.

"Come on everyone, get over there already!" She barked staying near the opening but not crossing until the others had.

Nemesis--Hangar Bay

Once they were in the hangar bay of the Decepticon flagship there were, to Elita-1's great relief, actual shuttles contained within. It wouldn't have surprised her at this point if it had been some kind of illusion or hallucination with how this mission had gone so far.

"Do you... Feel that?" Windblade asked as Elita motioned for her and any others nearby to board the nearest shuttle. She too felt the tremors. Just as before, when they first started to make their escape. Right after they had rescued...her. Elita didn't like what was going on here but, at the end of the cycle, trusted that Prowl knew what he was doing when he sent them off here.

"Yeah, I feel it. It says 'get the frag outta here'," Elita quipped as she looked back towards the entrance that Windblade had made earlier. Further beyond, she could see walls beginning to just out, hopelessly crushing whoever happened to be standing beside, atop or below one.

As the lighting cracked and shattered, the illumination levels in the hangar were coming closer to 0% on Elita's HUD. She didn't need any more clues. She wanted off this ship NOW. Running up the boarding platform, the Autobot Special Operative made a bee-line for the cockpit.

Then the sound of another slam.

Another scream abruptly silenced from somewhere behind them.

"Leaving.....so sooooooon?" a voice bellowed in the darkness.

Nemesis – Hangar Bay

Road Rage grunted as she managed to pull herself up into a sitting position on the hangar floor, her scorched back hurting along with her still damaged knee joint. The explosion had thankfully knocked the former bodyguard through the hole Windblade had made. Road Rage glanced back as she saw Elita-1 and the others enter the hangar.

“Do you…Feel that?” Windblade had spoken those words, standing a short distance away. The crimson femme nodded as she could feel the tremors continuing to reverberate through the floor as well as the rest of the ship. Bits of rust and metal fell onto Road Rage’s shoulder plates as the ceiling above changed shape. Nearby walls followed suit, crushing any hapless vehicon that got too close.

“Hey, everyone, stay away from the walls! They’re collapsing inwards!” Road Rage shouted to her teammates. Chaos erupted everywhere as Elita-1 ran into the nearest shuttle craft. Realizing that she had to help herself, the red femme forced herself up to her feet, placing the majority of her weight on her good, left leg. She then began to hop and hobble towards the shuttle as darkness slowly began to envelop her and the others.

As she drew closer to Windblade, Road Rage stopped and reached out to lean on her fellow femme's shoulder. Another slamming sound followed along with a horrifying scream. Then the ominous voice came.

"Leaving.....so sooooooon?"

“Dear Primus, what the frag was that?!” Road Rage whispered, the sound of fear emanating from her vocals.

Nemesis - Corridors

Firestar grunted with effort as Thunderclash supported himself on her. Fortunately, she now had and extra arm free that she used to sucker punch a charging Decepticon in the face. Upon reaching the hole in the wall, Firestar all but shoved her commander through, squeezing off another shot before ducking in herself.

Nemesis - Hanger Bay

To call the scene in the hanger chaotic would be an understatement. With bots of both factions running frantically for some escape from the seemingly doomed ship, it was a sight to behold.

Firestar grabbed Thunderclash again by the arm. She scanned the room, locating a shuttle that would be suitable for fleeing this Solus-forsaken ship. She guided the much larger Thunderclash to the ship when everything shook, all but making her lose her balance. Fortunately, Firestar was able to call upon her performing arts skills to stay balanced.

Ominous Voice wrote:"Leaving.....so sooooooon?"

Firestar stopped in her tracks. Whatever this...this thing was, it was...unnatural. Seeing her fellow soldiers shaken by...that, Firestar's rescue training asserted itself.

"C'mon you guys! Let's get out of here!"

With that, Firestar got ahold of herself and pulled Thunderclash up again. "Let's get you off this ship."

Nemesis - Hangar Bay

Oh how they ran. Were he not so infuriated with their escape and the state of the ship, the Sky Commandant might've felt a little bit of satisfaction in this game of cat and mouse. However with each Autobot passing through the hole in the wall, Skyquake only succumbed further to his own rage.

"Nauty, grab his legs, and don't stop until we get him to safety."

"There's no time!" Nautica responded back to Firestar as she quickly stumbled back up on her feet. She squeezed under Thunderclash's other arm and assisted the Turbomaster commander, "We gotta get the hell out of here!"

"You heard the lady!" Rotorstorm exclaimed, his fist grabbing Boss by the back of his collar, "We are leaving!" The helicopter former then tossed Boss through the opening before disappearing into the Hangar himself. Once through he hoisted Boss to his feet. "Move it, trooper! Andele! Andele!"

Skyquake was a few meters away from bringing his fist down upon the retreating Thunderclash when the wall to his left popped out of its holding and attempted to crush him. The Decepticon dug his bronzed actuators into the steel that tried to pin him down, his immense strength easily tearing holes through the metal as he tried to force the wall back into place. He was so close, he couldn't let them escape now! He drew his rocket launcher again and fired off a shot, not caring where he was aiming so long as the barrel was facing the Autobots down the hall. "Get in there you idiots!" He bellowed to the rest of his Predators as he struggled with fighting against the ship.

Within the Hangar Bay, Nautica continued to help escort Thunderclash towards the shuttle Elita-1 was beginning to commandeer. “Almost there big guy, just a little further ahea-“

”Leaving.....so sooooooon?”

“What in the pit?! Who-Who was that?! What was that?!”

Skyquake no longer cared about the condition of the ship, once it was back under control he could assign some maintenance teams to fix the damage. Digging his digits further into the metallic wall, the Predator Commander tore the panel from its hold and tossed it aside. The rumbling ship now began to speak at them. Damn it all! Skyquake will have order!

“Did-Did the ship just speak?!” Snare inquired, having heard that sinisterly ominous voice bleed through the hangar and into the corridor.

Nemesis – Corridors

The thing about uppercuts was that they required a bit of force behind them to be effective. As it was Boss’s little love tap stung but only a little. Falcon’s green optics gleamed malevolently as Boss’s fist stayed beneath his chin, looking down at his age old nemesis.

“Oh…I have all the time in the world for you,” he muttered in a low tone akin to the rumble of thunder. Oh, how he had longed for this moment. To have Boss at his mercy. Except, in the next moment, Boss was gone. Falcon blinked and looked about. What?! Rotorstorm. Blast it all! He had him! Boss was there in his grasp just moments ago!

“You’re not getting away!” Falcon roared, moving to pursue when gunfire from one of the Autobots by the hole in the wall hit him squarely in the helm. Clutching at the wound, Falcon hissed with anger as his optics fell upon the culprit. It was then that a large booming voice echoed his own thoughts. It was Snare that actually made him consider it.

The ship…had…talked.

Rage ebbing slightly, Falcon paused. “Commander, the ship!” Falcon shouted, trying to get Skyquake’s attention.

Taking advantage of some of the Con’s momentary confusion, Chromia, as the last of their troops went through the hole in the wall, gave Roulette a shove into the hole following close behind.

Hangar Bay

“Rou, run! Make for the shuttle! C’mon!” Chromia barked as she broke into a half-jog, half-run, looking back at the hole in the wall. The lighting fixtures shattered and cracked, dropping them into pitch darkness. Oh great. Just great! Chromia wanted off. Now. The ship was talking. It almost seemed to her like…No, couldn’t be. Or she didn’t want to deal with that thought right now. Whatever the case, Chromia adjusted her optics and ran.

Thunderclash leaned on Firestar more than he liked to when the ship shook. He could barely support himself, but that needn’t mean he take her down with him. As such, he crashed to the floor without her and was swiftly lifted up again by Firestar.

"Let's get you off this ship."

“Let’s all get off this ship,” he replied softly to Firestar before raising his voice in answer to what appeared to be the very ship around them. “Yes, we are leaving! All of us! Autobots, get aboard the shuttle now! We can escape!” Bolstering the spirits of those Autobots whose sparks were clouded with spark, Thunderclash ascended the boarding ramp himself.

“Elita, what’s our status?”

Hangar Bay:

Boss followed behind Rotorstorm after being pulled out away from Falcon. Part of him wanted to shout at Rotorstorm for interrupting such a wanted fight, but his rational side thankfully overtook that desire.

"Thanks Rotors, got a bit over my head there."

Boss made his way into the shuttle where the others were entering.

Roulette was focused on keeping the others covered when she was shoved through the hole by Chromia.

"You could have been a little gentler about it." Roulette said to Chromia with a grin and began to get up when she flinched and grabbed her side. "One of those 'Cons must have hit me a little harder than I thought. Must have been so focused I didn't notice." She thought and reached out for her sniper rifle, using it to get back on her feet.

"No time to be hurt now." She thought and ran towards the shuttle.

"YES! YOUR NOT BEING VERY HOSPITABLE!" Roulette instinctively yelled back at the booming voice she had heard then realized it seemed to be coming from everywhere.

"Aw slag. What did we get into now 'Lita?" She asked as he made it to the ramp.

Beta Barracks

As the emergency klaxons continued to blare, a squad of three Seekers rushed into the secondary barracks on board the Decepticon flagship.

"Can't believe you forgot your cluster bombs!"

"Idiot!"

"I know! I know! Just gimme a sec ok?"

The third Seeker practically ripped open a spare munitions locker and started poking through for what he needed.

"Did you hear that voice?"

"Frag yeah? What the hell was that? That wasn't Skyquake. Some kinda new....I dunno what. Maybe-"

"Purge......." the voice roared again.

The Seekers all froze and looked at each other. They then started to quickly gather all the weapons they could get their hands on, completely unaware of the caustic, rust-colored fumes that were now pouring through the ventilation systems. The first Seeker looked at his two squadmates.

"Yo...what's happening to your armor, man?"

The second one turned around to look at the first.

"I dunno, what? Is it-AHHHHHH, frag....somethin's burnin' me!"

As the second Seeker cried out in pain he was quickly joined by the two others as the seering fumes settled in around them, acidifying everything in sight. They looked at each other in horror and started to run, but with each step their legs began to melt into the floor. Their armor slowly started to melt and congeal, fusing with their endoskeletons.

As the second squad member reached out for the door to the barracks, his skeletal fingers stopped just a few centimeters short, most of the rest of his body had melted and fused with the surface, just like the other two.

"'Lita! Wait up!" yelled Moonracer as she realized she was far behind. She'd gotten so caught up in shooting that she forgot about the running part. Nearly tripping over herself, Moonracer ran after the others.

"Wha- Is someone in here?!" said Moonracer, panicked as she heard the booming voice that surrounded the whole place, "Uh- I don't want to be here! Let's get out of here!"

"Aw slag. What did we get into now 'Lita?" Elita-1 heard Roulette ask as she boarded the shuttle.

"Something we're gonna be lucky to get out of, that's for sure," the femme said, finishing all of her pre-flight commands in record time. "Remind me to send Prowl a 'Thank You-holo'."

"'Lita! Wait up!" Moonracer had called out as she hurried to catch. Elita certainly had no intention of leaving anyone behind.

"Wha- Is someone in here?! Uh- I don't want to be here! Let's get out of here!" Moonracer continued.

"Someone or something. And I don't wanna find out what. Is everybody on-?"

"Purge......."

Just then the hangar bay doors opened violently and everything within the bay began to be sucked into the vacuum of space. Just as the shuttle started to rock, Elita activated the final ignition command...

Roulette moved behind Elita, holding her left side with her right hand.

"Only if the holo gets to be delivered by my fist."

She replied as the voice rang out once more and the doors quickly opened.

"I really, really, really hate this slagging ship!" She said as she held on to Elita's seat and their shuttle moved.

Nemesis – Hangar Bay / Shuttle

Road Rage glanced around as her comrades, old and new, entered the hangar and hurried to the shuttle they were commandeering to escape this seemingly possessed ship.

“C’mon you guys! Let's get out of here!” Firestar shouted as she helped Thunderclash to the shuttle.

“Yes, we are leaving! All of us! Autobots, get aboard the shuttle now! We can escape!” The Regional Commander then added.

“You don’t have to tell me twice,” the former bodyguard replied as she let go of Windblade’s shoulder and hobbled as fast as she could towards the shuttle. The crimson femme stumbled once, which caused her to fall down with a thud onto the shuttle’s entrance ramp. “Fraggit!!” Road Rage shouted and she decided to crawl the rest of the way up the ramp and into the craft.

“Purge…….”

There was that booming voice again. This time it was followed by the hangar bay doors opening violently as everything not tied down began to be sucked out into space. Fighting the powerful rush of air, Road Rage climbed up into one of the seats in the shuttle’s passenger cabin and strapped herself in. Once everyone was inside, the ramp withdrew and the door slid shut as the shuttle began to shake.

Dear Primus, help us, Road Rage thought to herself as she said a silent prayer in the hopes that they would all survive their current ordeal.

Hangar Bay

Firestar smiled and nodded to Thunderclash. "Yes sir."

She allowed him the dignity to boarding the shuttle without assistance. After all, he had an image to uphold. However, once Thunderclash was on board, Firestar once again grabbed him and maneuvered him to a seat.

She strapped him securely in. "Chastise me later, once we get off this Solus-forsaken ship."

With her commander secured, Firestar looked out to see most of the Autobots boarding shuttles. She then looked at theirs. It was at capacity. "I think it's time to-"

Ominous Voice wrote:"Purge......."

Before Firestar could question as to what was going on, she was thrown to the floor as the shuttle was violently moved.

Shuttle

Both Nautica and Firestar had been such a help to him. Thunderclash wasn’t sure of how to repay them for it. Though, he supposed that could wait until after they’d managed to pull off this escape. Even as the last of their number sprinted into the shuttle, the doors closed and everyone was harshly jolted by…something. Whether it be the shuttle taking off or something else, he couldn’t tell because he was strapped in thanks to Firestar who suffered by being tossed to the floor.

Thunderclash managed to reach out and grab Nautica, pulling her to him before she too had a chance to be flung around the shuttle. It was a harsh few moments as they were tossed about. Eventually, though it stabilized, and Thunderclash looked to Nautica.

“Are you alright? Is everyone alright?”

“Been worse,” Chromia groaned painfully as she picked herself up off of the floor slowly and shambled to the pilot seat where Elita and Roulette were. “What’s going on? Are we clear?” Her optics moved to the viewscreen where she realized something with a certain sense of dread. They were in a shuttle and that was the Nemesis. “Can…Can this thing jump? Somewhere?! Anywhere else?!”

Shuttle:

The sudden jolt of the shuttle after a loud ominous voice sounded was enough to catch Boss off guard, even after thinking himself ready for anything at this point. Boss violently was tossed towards a wall. Thankfully, he grabbed something in time to slow his impact down.

Boss started to feel his cranium spin again. He needed energon. Badly. It was fortunate for him that his temporary fix lasted him long enough to get into a safe zone.

“Are you alright? Is everyone alright?”

"I'm fine. Are you, 'Clash?"

(OoC: Sorry about the delay -- I've been busy lately. I'm just gonna assume for length's sake that Windblade was running with everyone else into the shuttle.)

Shuttle

Windblade's processors screamed, throbbing and pulsing in her head. Every surge of Energon from her spark rushing painfully through her veins. She put her slender hands upon her ornate forehead and let out a hiss. Being tossed around in the shuttle as it was blown out of the hangar didn't help, but she knew for certain that wasn't the cause of her most recent pain.

The giant voice had been screaming at them. No... At her. Gritting her teeth, she stood from her seated position, slumped against the wall.

"Are you alright? Is everyone alright?" she heard "Thunderclash" ask, booming through the shuttlecraft.

Windblade grabbed her arm timidly and muttered, "I'm alright. Thank you."

But her own well-being wasn't the most pressing thing on her mind -- it was the voice. The booming, impossibly massive voice that had signaled the changes in the vessel. It was so familiar. So impossibly familiar! But she couldn't figure out where she heard the voice before, no matter how she tried. But she could feel a gaze, a fiery, devilish gaze that burned the back of her neck.

She muttered under her breath, "He's still watching us."

Shuttle

"Only if the holo gets to be delivered by my fist."

"Ha! With my compliments," Elita said, as the ship's thrusters hummed to life and she launched them forward. Through the viewport, Elita-1 could see the debris and equipment that had not been tethered down and was floating around them disappear as they lurched forward. But then the ports began to light up as the Nemesis began firing on them!

"They're trying to destroy us out here! Or...or it is!"

It. It. The ship. Whatever that thing was. Leave it to Megatron to possess a flagship that was a nightmarish as he was.

“What’s going on? Are we clear?” Chromia asked.

"Trying," Elita said as she attempted to engage the shuttle's long-since-used jumpspace systems. They whined from inactivity. Another explosion rocked the outside.

“Can…Can this thing jump? Somewhere?! Anywhere else?!”

Elita-1 was trying to prepare contingencies. What contingencies? What was this puddle hopper gonna do against the Decepticon flagship? Didn't matter. She would go down fighting.

"I don't think it's gonna-"

Just then the hyperjump engines fired to life and the shuttle was gone.
