Gothika Mortiis weren't originally called Gothika Mortiis, they were once known as the Lions of Death and they all had, as well as the Decepticon symbol on their left shoulder, a black lions head on their right.
Their primary function was to be a combat unit capable of staying in the field for prolonged periods of time, and so had specialised members to help complete this function.
During their time as the Lions of Death, they were violent and aggressive and took the fight into Autobot territories on numerous occasion. They weren't the most feared team in Decepticon history but were well on their way to making their mark in the annals of history.
However, it seemed their Gods had other ideas for them, in a series of accidents or strange occurences, the Lions slowly deteriorated into a team wracked by insanity and mental and social disorders.
The decision to change the team's name was made by the last two Decepticons to be affected, the teams commander, Venomray, and one of the two medics, Lord Sirene, who was to become Lord Gothika. They made their decision after scanning through the nearest planets airwaves for any clue as to why these problems were affecting the Lions. The recording that helped them was a film called Gothika.
A few years after the name had been changed, the team had come to terms with their states of mind, and accepted them, even going so far as changing the name of their mobile fortress form Lion's Pride to The Asylum. They also had a new insignia to add to their collection, that of the RDD.
One of the most recent achievements of the team was their participation in the Vos Campaign, where they helped their fellow RDD team-mates and Decepticons gain a valuable treasure.
The Asylum
There are in actuality two Asylums, one is their mobile fortress while the other is in the Grand Canyon and their main base of operations while on Earth.
The mobile fortress Asylum is capable of hyperspace travel and has 4 nuclear powered engines. It also has 15 inch thick titanium armour all around, as well as several weapon platforms including torpedoes and dorsal lasers.
The Grand Canyon's Asylum isn' t quite as defended, relying on the natural protection of the Grand Canyon. However, that is not its only defense. It also has twin laser cannons at every entrance and missile launchers and flamethrowers hidden in tactical positions. It also has reinforced steel walls in case an attacking force gets through the defences.
Na hOcras
"It is repression that creates the revolutionary spirit of freedom"
Black ops
Subversion
Terror tactics
Na hOcras is alone amongst the Archaicons in having sworn no allegiance to Unicron whatsoever, instead owing his loyalty entirely to Jesus Prime. Officially a citizen of Iacon, Na hOcras is a native of the region of Hibernium, once an independent city-state which was conquered by Iacon in the last few centuries before the beginning of the Golden Age.
Hibernium had always chafed at being ruled by a foreign city-state, and its people had on many occasions attempted to drive the occupying nation from their land. However, Iacon’s greater military strength, it greater wealth and its brutality in subjugating revolutionary activities drove the various resistance movements underground, where they began to evolve into a structured network of subversives, an efficient organisation more resembling an army than a terror cell. Although all citizens were required by law to be named in the common Cybertronian language, the members of this resistance movement adopted pseudonyms in the traditional language of the region, often to reflect their involvement in the struggle against Iacon’s brutal rule.
Na hOcras was among the first to adopt a nom-de-guerre in this manner, choosing his, meaning ‘the hunger’, to reflect the time he had spent as a political prisoner in one of Iacon’s overcrowded and harshly-run prisons. Although Cybertronian law granted certain amnesties and privileges to prisoners declared as ‘special category’, including political prisoners, Iacon systematically denied this designation to those prisoners belonging to the Hibernium resistance. In protest, Na hOcras, then known simply as Long Kesh, organised what was to be the first of many fuel strikes, which saw the political prisoners refusing their daily fuel rations in defiance of their treatment, and that of their people. Though initially stifled and dealt with through forced refuelling, the fourth of these fuel strikes was to spark international interest. Cybertron had finally overcome the ravages of the Vos-Tarn war, and many now turned their eyes to Iacon in search of prosperity and peace – instead finding brutality and subjugation. With global attention focussed on their prisons, Iacon could no longer force the striking prisoners to refuel, and had to sit and watch as the dying revolutionaries undermined the international standing of the proud city-state.
Eventually, as several of the strikers died, and emotions across the planet were turning against Iacon, the decision was made to remove the sparks of the surviving strikers, and hold them in stasis independent of their bodies. Four prisoners were held captive in this manner, Na hOcras included. However, on the second week of this new internment, just as media attention was shifting away from the crisis and towards the recent surge of violent activities in the ashes of Vos, two figures, one a bio-mechanical berserker, the other seemingly an engineer, effected a siege on the prison, breaking into the spark storage facilities and retrieving the captive spark of Na hOcras. Since then, a figure identifying himself as Na hOcras has been seen fighting alongside Jesus Prime, using his skills in terror tactics and subversion to great effect. What is evident from Prime’s pattern of activities from the end of the incursion into Vos is that he is leading his men towards Iacon – perhaps to finally liberate Hibernium from its brutal subjugators?

Name: Darkwylde
Allegiance: Decepticon
Sub-Group: Eisen Dragoons
Function: Frontline Combat Specialist
Transformation: M116 Infantry Carrier Vehicle
“War is cruelty; there is no use refining it.”
Profile: If Wingshadow is a hot-blooded glory hound, his younger spark brother Darkwylde is a cold, no-nonsense warrior. He lingers silently in the background, preferring to let his actions do the talking for him. His view of the war is less rose-tinted that that of his brothers. To Darkwylde, war is a serious and deadly business and those who don’t recognize that have no business in it. He makes no distinction between a “civilian” and a “solider”; as the former supports the latter, attacking both would bring the war to a close all that much quicker. Nothing that comes across his targeting scanner is safe from attack, whether it be a regimental company, a supply convoy, or a medical train. Even his own comrades consider his methods extreme and he’s listed high among individuals who are wanted for Tyrest Accord crimes. Darkwylde is singularly unconcerned; if his tactics bring an end to the war all that much faster, then so much the better. Although they are a lethal team when on the battlefield, off it, Darkwylde and Wingshadow barely acknowledge each other, except for vociferous arguments between the two. Many consider their feud to be a tragic affair, and Northclaw does his best to give them separate assignments whenever possible.
Abilities: In vehicle mode, Darkwylde is capable of reaching a top speed of 100 km/h and his surprisingly agile despite his bulky appearance. He’s armed with two forward facing machine guns in his superstructure and a turret-mounted grenade launcher in the middle of his back. His armor is lightweight yet durable, capable of withstanding most medium-caliber weaponry. The machine guns become arm-mounted weapons in his robotic form. He’s equipped with a powerful augmented quark cannon in the center of his abdomen capable of obliterating a twelve foot thick block of cement. His favorite weapon, however, are a pair of arm-mounted retractable crystal blades, which he wields to proficient and deadly effect. The edges of these blades have been honed to a thickness of a molecule, allowing them to cut through metal and circuits with ease.
Weakness: Most of Darkwylde’s ranged weapons are small caliber and not suitable to be used against a heavily armored opponent. His augmented quark cannon possesses a slow rate of fire and is awkward to use. He prefers to fight his foes up close and personal, which can work to his disadvantage. His crystal blades, though durable, can break after extended use and need to be replaced entirely when they do. Since the material they’re made out of needs to be grown, it can take a while to replace them, so Darkwylde often has spares made in advance.
Error Threshold
"Warfare is not an art. It is more like evolution - one must adapt to the situation, or be wiped out."
Shock trooper
Pretender warrior
Transformation: Tyranid Bio-Titan
The apex predator. The top of the food chain. Error Threshold is not merely a soldier, he is the very embodiment of the destructive side of nature. Jesus Prime has long held an uneasy alliance with the Tyranids, an alien race bent on devouring all life in their quest to create the ultimate life form. For years, Prime has led a seemingly random dance of destruction throughout the universe, appearing at isolated planetary outposts or on the fringes of important star systems. On each occasion, he has preceded a Tyranid hive fleet by scant weeks, sometimes even only by a few days, and soon joins their chitinous hordes in laying waste to the meagre defences which the assaulted world can muster. Only after the larger bio-titans have returned to the orbiting fleet does he disappear, leaving the Tyranids to reclaim and digest what little organic matter remains on the surface.
Until now, it had been thought that Prime's association with the Tyranids was merely for the sheer thrill of destruction and the annihilation of life, or that was merely for the acquisition of his terrible chitinous bonesword. However, none would have suspected the horrifying truth. Prime's rampages of destruction in the ranks of the Tyranid hive fleets merely served as research missions, studying the anatomy, instincts and rapid evolution of the chitinous hordes, getting to know the Tyranid race more completely than any being outside of their own Norn Queens. Armed with several years’ worth of knowledge, Prime abandoned the hive fleets and returned to the Archaicons' homeworld of Jupiter. Through long months spent slaving away in the darkest catacombs of the Fortress of Solitude, toiling amidst the sonorous clanging of metalwork and the tortured roars and screams of captured Tyranids, a new being has joined the ranks of the Archaicons. Touched with a portion of Great Unicron's infinite power, malice, and thirst for nothingness, Error Threshold is Jesus Prime's most powerful creation yet.
Possessed not with a mind full of doubt and fear, but with little other than animal cunning and the urge to devour and destroy, Threshold is the mechanical pinnacle of evolution and research. Transforming into a writhing metal replica of a Tyranid bio-titan, his sole thought in battle is to destroy, to kill, to crush into nothingness in order to return all life to the void of emptiness. As a result of this, however, he does not get along with the other members of Prime's warband, who prefer to spend their free time in religious rites to Great Unicron, or honing their considerable skills in the training grounds in the Fortress of Solitude. Error Threshold, however, has no free time to spend - his every minute is spent either at the helm of Prime's flagship, the Misanthropy, or at the forefront of battle, often single-handedly over-running isolated backwater wilderness planets or slaying the most terrifying creatures of the universe's harshest death worlds. Entire species have been eradicated from all existence purely on a whim by this unstoppable force, terrifying predatory beasts proving little match for sheer mechanical savagery.
Recently, however, Error Threshold’s destructive capabilities have been bolstered even further. Prime had directed his scientists, Manhattan Project and Golden Ratio, to study the arcane arts of pretender technology, using live captured Tyranid specimens as the basis of their research, along with notes culled from raids on laboratories operated by Thunderwing and Vorath, in order to replicate the powerful process. After several aborted attempts, most of which spawned little more than mewling mounds of twisted flesh, a fully organic shell was created for Error Threshold, disguising him as the Tyranid organism known as the trygon, and endowing him with strength far beyond that which he already wielded. In his new pretender shell, Error Threshold has begun to resume Prime’s old habit of joining the Tyranids on planetary assaults – however; unlike Prime; he is able to lead them in battle, as they recognise him as one of their own. Eventually, he may learn to direct the fleets from world to world, rather than just leading them after they have already made planet-fall – a development which would quickly lead to the end of all biological life in the galaxy.

Motto: “Only through experimentation, can perfection be achieved”
There is only one word to describe Vitae Mortis, twisted. He is obsessed with the ideal of perfection for all Autobots, Decepticons and any other sentient race. To realize this ideal, he will gladly perform experiments for his research, and it does not matter to him whether the subject is alive or dead. Nor does it matter what gender, age or state a subject is in either, he is equally at home experimenting on a healthy male as he is a pregnant female.
He is also the team’s primary interrogator, using his knowledge of anatomy to inflict the most pain while causing the least amount of physical damage possible. Then he can nurse them back to health to start the process again. Many an Autobot plan has been discovered and foiled due to Vitae’s skills.
After vivisections, his next favourite method of entertainment is designing and developing biological and chemical weapons, which he unleashes on unsuspecting opponents such as humans during the many wars they have or Autobot patrols that stray too close to Decepticon lines.
The team, however, turn a blind eye to this, for two reasons the first is that if he is experimenting on something it means he is not experimenting on them. The second reason is that all the knowledge he gains, he uses to more effectively repair the team.
Despite all his twisted ways, he is at heart a coward and prefers not to fight if it is possible. However if he does have to fight, he uses all his knowledge and weapons on any enemy daft enough to attack him.
Motto: “I once was an architect of buildings, I am now the architect of your demise”
Before the war, Castigatron was a celebrated architect who had a passion for designing buildings that could only be described as architectural masterpieces. His main line of work was designing and building hospitals, which were to prove invaluable years later during the war.
During his time as a member of the team, he has gained a reputation for being a remorseless killer, who fights as if it was second nature. But he only fights as he realises it is necessary, to have peace for all people and he hopes that one day, when there are no more wars, he can go back to designing buildings.
His experience as an architect and the skills he learnt as a soldier have come together through the years to enable him to know the best method of assaulting the fortresses and bastions of the Autobots, and to create breaches in their walls for the other, more vicious members of the team to use to their advantage. If there are ways of entering a fortress that leave the building intact, he will try and pursue that first, as in his eyes, destroying such artful pieces of architecture is blasphemy.
Despite the team’s many diabolical acts, he believes that they act for a greater good, to end the fighting, and the suffering the war causes, as quickly as is possible.
Motto: “The pain I felt that day, will be inflicted tenfold upon you”
Cretae is an enigma within the team, with only one member of the team knowing of his origins. However, this does not matter to the team as he has proved himself a valuable member time and time again.
Cretae was in fact created by Vitae Mortis as one of his experiments; he wished to create a living weapon to be used by the team. When he had completed the protoform, he and Cretae traveled to a research facility where the famous Thunderwing was waiting for them. Thunderwing wished to turn Cretae into a Pretender, like him. Vitae agreed to this, on one condition, there was to be no anaesthetic to be used as the twisted surgeon wished to record the effects the procedure had on transformers.
Thunderwing agreed to this and began the procedure, all the while with Cretae screaming at the top of his vocal processors, and had attached the gorilla shell onto Cretae’s hulking form when the pain proved too much for the Decepticon’s circuit boards, snapping his sanity to the point he went into a berserker fury. Snapping free of his restraints, the maddened Cretae went throughout the complex rending and destroying anything, and anyone, he came across. When he finally calmed down, the complex was in flames, and ruins.
Vitae was the first person to find, which was lucky for Cretae as Thunderwing was baying for his head for destroying his research facility, and he persuaded Cretae to leave the planet before Thunderwing found them both.
Since their return, Cretae has been used as a shock trooper by the team, making the most of his natural strength and resilience. He works best when used in tandem with Castigatron to assault fortifications, infiltrating them through the breaches the siege specialist makes. He retains his berserker fury, and it takes put an instant of pain to enter it as he is reminded of the pain and suffering he endured during the Pretender procedure. While in this fury, he gains a massive boost to his strength and resilience, being able to endure wounds that down him in his normal state.
Unfortunately for Cretae, and to a lesser extent the rest of the team, Thunderwing is still hunting for Cretae, and he will stop only when he has his vengeance or is destroyed.
Quartus
You lack the necessary skills, so die now as the failure you are.
Quartus is one of two survivors of a set of six experimental Cons created late in the wars. Supposedly these Cons would have the combined knowledge and tactical skill equal to over a thousand dead Decepticon commanders. Their neural centres especially designed to support this quantity of knowledge. Due to unforeseen occurrences in the war the experiment came under pressure to deliver results and was completed hastily.
Quartus is considered the only marginal success. Primus and Secundus failed to activate, Tertius could not cope with the sheer amount of knowledge it carried and committed suicide, Quintus’ did not react to anyone except Quartus and Sextus was destroyed when it attempted to defect to the Autobots.
Quartus remained loyal to the Decepticon Forces, but of the vast knowledge Quartus was supposed to posses only brief flashes ever show, sometimes executing manoeuvres of almost unparalleled brilliance. When Quartus discovered that all the experimental Cons were to be destroyed Quartus ordered its ‘Brother’ Quintus to destroy the laboratory. Quartus then fled the Decepticon forces with Quintus in tow. They lived as fugitives until they met with the Omnicron Myriad. When Coldchain heard the tale he judged Quartus worthy and took him in as part of the Myriad. Quartus and Quintus serve as the Myriads main operational taskforce.
Quintus
The Fifth.
Quintus is one of two survivors of a set of six experimental Cons created late in the wars. These Cons were intended to have the combined knowledge and tactical skill equal to over a thousand dead Decepticon commanders. Their neural centres especially designed to support this quantity of knowledge. Due to unforeseen occurrences in the war the experiment came under pressure to deliver results and was completed hastily.
Quintus was technically another failure. Of the six experimental Cons; Primus and Secundus failed to activate, Tertius could not cope with the sheer amount of knowledge it carried and committed suicide, Quartus was not able to access the information and Sextus was destroyed when it attempted to defect to the Autobots.
Quintus activated perfectly but refused to speak or act beyond its most basic level, except at the bidding of its ‘Brother’ Quartus, so it is unknown how much of the tactical data was retained. Quartus became aware that all six experimental Cons were to be destroyed that project closed down, so in secret commanded Quintus to stay alive at all costs and destroy anything that threatened them both. When the technicians came to put Quintus down he reacted violently, very violently. Quartus fled from the rubble of the laboratory with Quintus in tow. They spent a considerable time on the run until they were apprehended by the Omnicron Myriad. When Coldchain heard their tale he judged them worthy and took them in as part of the Myriad.
Quintus is essentially useless without Quartus, thus he only really serves as Quartus’ bodyguard.
Coldchain is contemptuous of Quintus and his reliance on Quartus, saying that it goes against his principles of survival but Quartus refuses to rescind the command to stay alive at all costs and often reinforces it in front of Coldchains face. All attempts to separate and deactivate Quintus have been met with displays of primal violence

Locomotive Breath
"You shall judge of a man by his foes as well as by his friends"
Martial artist
Shock trooper
One of the earlier recruits initiated by Jesus Prime into the fledgling ranks of the Archaicons, Locomotive Breath is a being dominated by his sense of honour and his strict adherence to the precepts of circuit-su and metallikato. Originally hailing from Nova Cronum, his martial pride was instilled within him almost from the day he was budded, through decades of rigorous training as part of the Inner Circle, a group of twelve soldiers designated as the personal bodyguard for the Governor of the city, who at this time was the introverted Ex Officio. Locomotive Breath excelled in this capacity, and was soon promoted to lead the Inner Circle, effectively becoming the second most powerful individual within the city-state.
During the wave of arsons known as the Days of Fire, it was Locomotive Breath who was able to track down and apprehend the arsonist, a political activist from Vos, named Red Shift, who it was feared would soon attack the Governor’s headquarters in an assassination attempt. Thinking his act of heroism would be fondly remembered, Locomotive Breath was horrified to discover that the arsonist was to be simply extradited to his home city, to take part in the war that was raging between Vos and Tarn.
Disgusted by this event, which he saw as an affront to every aspect of his martial training, he called a meeting between all of the Inner Circle bodyguards, who shared his outrage. Together, they pointed the blame for what they considered an embarrassing spectacle at Ex Officio, and stormed his personal chambers as one, presenting the Governor with an ultimatum – either stand down, or be put down. Although introverted and reclusive, Ex Officio had once been an Inner Circle guard himself, and was unable to bring himself to simply surrender to such a demand. Instead, he attacked those confronting him, slaying two before they could react. Locomotive Breath was the first to respond, grappling the raging Governor to the ground with relative ease, subduing him whilst another of the rebels beheaded him with a ceremonial blade. Holding aloft the Governor’s severed head, Locomotive Breath emerged onto the palace’s balcony, which overlooked the city centre, and announced to the crowds that his men had delivered them from failure and weakness.
However, instead of being hailed as patriots, the surviving ten members of the Inner Circle were swiftly rounded up by the armed forces, and court-martialled in what amounted to little more than a kangaroo court. By some small miracle, though, they were able to escape execution, instead being exiled forever from Nova Cronum for crimes against the state. Most of the others fled to Polyhex, Kaon and Iacon, were their warrior skills would be the most useful, but Locomotive Breath took it upon himself to leave Cybertron entirely, eventually making a living as a hired sword, his skills seeing him emerge victorious from some of the most brutal battles the galaxy has seen. As his reputation grew, word of this perfect solider – unwaveringly loyal, unflinchingly honourable, and trained in arcane martial arts – reached Jesus Prime aboard his flagship Misanthropy, who sought out the knight at once. Locomotive Breath, upon clapping eyes on Prime, recognised right away the leader he had failed to find in Ex Officio, one who knew the value of loyalty, devotion and honour. Without a second thought, Locomotive Breath pledged his allegiance to the Archaicons, eager to learn of Unicron and the teaching which had inspired such admirable qualities in his new leader, whilst Prime was keen to be trained in the ways of the martial arts which Locomotive Breath had come to master.
Locomotive Breath was to meet his end on the world of Vertox Quintus, a barren desert world, once a sprawling ecumenopolis, reduced by a global nuclear war into little more than an endless expanse of concrete dust and fallout ash. An unexplained impulse had told Jesus Prime to guide his flagship, the Misanthropy, towards the planet’s northern pole, for reasons unknown. Navigating the wreckage of an orbital dogfight, the cruiser reached its destination, finding an Autobot battalion approaching a pinned-down squad of Decepticon salvagers. Relishing the prospect of a fight, and realising that Unicron had sent him here, Prime ordered three of those on board the starship to join him in making planetfall, Locomotive Breath amongst them. The ensuing battle was fierce, and bloody, with the elite Archaicons managing to butcher a significant portion of the Autobot forces, who were surprised at the savagery of the interlopers. The beleaguered Decepticon platoon quickly joined the fray, and by the following sunrise, the Autobots had been broken, fleeing back to their base camp. Prime, seeing that over half of the squad had survived, looked around for his men, finding Locomotive Breath lifeless upon a mound of the bodies of those who had slain him. Taking the noble warrior’s body upon the Misanthropy, he imparted the wisdom of Unicron to the surviving Decepticons, who identified themselves as the squadron Gothika Mortiis, seeing in their eyes the flicker of devotion beginning to form as they were converted to worshipping the World Eater.
Locomotive Breath currently resides in the crypts of the Fortress of Solitude, his tomb the most ornate and well-tended of all of those located there, a fitting testament to the respect he was able to inspire in life, and to the legacy he has left behind him.
Omega Sentinel wrote:Man that's the truth. I hate that OS guy.
Gothika Mortiis were just an average Decepticon warband, attempting to gain glory and further the Decepticon cause.
That was all to change on Vertox Quintos, a planet that was once a sprawling ecumenopolis, every square foot dominated by an endless cityscape. The planet, over a hundred years before, had borne the fallout from a nuclear war between the two most technologically advanced cultures inhabiting it, leaving it an arid, desolate wasteland of concrete dust and falloutash so thoroughly destroyed it turned the entire planet’s surface into an artificial desert, dotted with ruins that hint at its partially forgotten past. However, any civilisation that advanced would leave some valuable, and potent, technology, which inevitably leads to treasure seekers, and those who wish to find and use the technology to gain an advantage in a conflict.
The Autobots were the first faction to realise this, setting up a number of excavation sites, each guarded by Autobot salvage squads, with the major dig sites having genuine military presence. Fearing the weapons the Autobots might find underneath the planet’s atomised cities, the Decepticons needed a presence on the planet, and so Gothika Mortiis was selected to be the first team to deploy on the planet. Unfortunately, for the team, the troopship that transported them to the planets surface alerted the more astute Autobots that they weren’t alone on the planet any longer.
As the troopship returned with the second wave of Decepticons, the Autobots were ready for it, sending missile after missile streaking into the sky. Using all the evasive manoeuvres he could, the pilot avoided all but three, one hit the armour and ricocheted exploding harmlessly at the side of the craft. The other two were more deadly, one punching into the cockpit, killing both pilots, the second powering into the fuel tanks, and exploding with such force that the ship was disintegrated.
Seeing both their reinforcements and their only method of escape go up in flames shocked the team to their very sparks, and made them grimly aware that the Autobot forces knew they were here, and were probably on the way to destroy the team. Luck was on their side though, as after the ship was destroyed, a vicious sandstorm blew up giving them time to prepare for the coming battles and pray to Primus for help in the coming battles as well as preventing the Autobots from reaching them. The sandstorm, a blizzard of rubble, shrapnel and fallout, lasted many cycles, an as the time passed, the team started to unhinge slightly as the trauma of the sandstorm, and the fear of the battle to come, wormed away at their minds, a process that may have been assisted by residual radiation from the war over a century previous.
As the sandstorm finally died down, and the team offered a last prayer to any god that would listen, they prepared to die vowing they would make the Autobots pay dearly for every team member that fell.
However, it seemed as though a god had heeded the last, frantic prayer for as they were preparing to charge, a large space cruiser flew overhead, strafing the Autobot lines. As it returned to the Decepticon forces, the team saw four figures standing in an open hangar. Waiting, until the ship was almost directly above the team, the four dropped down to the surface. The first one down was a tall Decepticon, with a baroque look to his robot mode, which was adorned with scrolls, litanies and skulls. He introduced himself to the team as Jesus Prime, leader of the Archaicons, and then introduced the other three as they came down, Error Threshold, Shadow Moses and Locomotive Breath.
As if the Archaicons arrival were a signal, the Autobot forces began their attack, only to be surprised as the four newcomers countercharged, each one taking out five of the oncoming Autobots before they could even react. Seeing this heroically brave attack, the team members joined in fighting uncaring of any wounds or casualties, knowing that even with the assistance of Jesus Prime and his men, they would still die in this battle. Day and night the two forces fought, until eventually there were but a fraction of both sides remaining. Having their forces whittled down to such a small size, by so few warriors unnerved the Autobots, and as more and more of them fell to Jesus Prime’s chitinous broadsword and Error Threshold’s raw power, they faltered and broke, leaving the surprised team and the Archaicons the unexpected victors.
The two teams scanned their forces for injured as well as any dead, they saw that Gothika Mortiis had lost over half of its members, reducing their number to twelve, whilst the Archaicons had lost Locomotive Breath in the fray, finding him lifeless atop of mound of the dead, irreparably damaged in several places.
Turning to Jesus Prime, Venomray, the leader of the team praised him and Primus, before being told that the Archaicons did not worship Primus, instead serving Unicron, and that it was by his will they came to the planet. Hearing this, the team denounced Primus for leaving them to die, and pledged eternal servitude to Unicron for delivering them salvation.

Name: Grounge
Allegiance: Decepticon
Sub-Group: Eisen Dragoons
Function: Shock Trooper
Transformation: T-90 Vladimir Battle Tank
“I will stand proudly and shout the glory of the Eisen Dragoons to the heavens!”
Profile: It’s said that the Eisen Dragoons are loyal to themselves first and loyal to the Decepticons a distant second. Grounge exemplifies this idea to an extreme. He is always the first to extol the virtues and honor of being a Dragoon and is quick to defend them against any perceived criticism. His devotion to them borders on near religious fanaticism, though his lengthy orations can, and often do, annoy his own teammates. But they also understand that they would rather have him with them than against them. A nasty opponent to anyone unfortunate enough to face him, Grounge is one of the strongest, well armed, and best armored members of the Dragoons, second only to Northclaw. He’s always the first to jump in to aid his comrades and is utterly merciless to his enemies. The other Dragoons may not always understand his zealous rants, but they do appreciate that he has their backs.
Abilities: Grounge is capable of reaching a speed of 65 km/h in tank mode and can traverse just about any terrain with no lose of performance. His physical strength is second only to Northclaw; a single, well-place punch can turn a 3 meter thick concrete pillar into dust. His main weapon is a 125mm smoothbore cannon capable of firing a variety of ordinance and has a maximum range of 6 kilometers. He’s also equipped with a 12.7mm anti-air quasar machine gun to take out aerial opponents; it can also be effective against ground targets. His armor is made from a new composite metal that is extremely durable, making him impervious to all but the heaviest of weaponry.
Weakness: Grounge’s undercarriage and treads are only lightly armored compared to the rest of his body.

Originally hailing from the introverted city-state of Nova Cronum, the scholarly Gothika was once renowned for his philosophical treatises, centring on the notion of peace, and inner calm - for which he advocated martial arts as a means of maintaining, he himself having mastered both Metallikato and Circuit-su.
It was his mastery of martial arts that garnered him the attention of Ex Officio, the governor of Nova Cronum, who after a couple of months watching the scholar and his training, invited Gothika to join his elite bodyguard, the Inner Circle. However, the same notions of peace he focused on in his daily life and philosophical works, prevented Gothika from accepting as he felt it would be against his values.
He kept a relatively friendly relationship with both Ex Officio and the Inner Circle members afterwards, until the day that Red Shift, the arsonist behind the Days of Fire, burnt down his home, taking with it many of his works. Learning from friends he had made in the Inner Circle that Red Shift was responsible for the arsons, and had been released from capture by Ex Officio, made Gothika start to despise the Governor of Nova Cronum, to vent this anger and disgust he started to write works making a mockery of Ex Officio and how he ran the city-state. This eventually led to Gothika being exiled to Polyhex, a few cycles before Ex Officio’s assassination by his own Inner Circle.
During his time in Polyhex, Governor Straxus recognized his ability to write, whether it be philosophical or propaganda and offered the exiled Gothika a job writing propaganda for him during the Polyhex wars, the wars that would turn Polyhex from the small city-state it once was to a massive power in Cybertron. It was while he was still in Polyhex, that he heard the news of Ex Officio’s death and that some of the members of the Inner Circle had fled to Polyhex. As luck would have it, he soon ran into a couple of the Inner Circle he was most familiar with, they had even trained together. As the war went on, the exile and the fugitives trained together working on the martial arts style Crystalocution.
Halfway through the Polyhex wars, Gothika and the ex-Inner Circle members were walking through a deserted part of Polyhex when one of the keen-eyed bodyguards saw a flash of colour. Deciding to check tout, the five crept forward under the coverof the shadows, until they were close enough to tell that there were intruders in Polyhex, and that they were intruders from Iacon, planning to sabotage Polyhex somehow. Knowing this, Gothika turned to the others and nodded once. Rising from the shadows they each took two Iacon soldiers each, using their knowledge of martial arts to easily overcome their adversaries. In recognition for this, and the many other services performed by Gothika, Straxus gave him a thirty strong team, which he named after himself, calling the unit Gothika Mortiis.
When Polyhex sided with the Decepticons, he and his team would be called to fight in several battles in Altihex, and Nova Cronum where Gothika’s knowledge of the city proved invaluable. Many Autobots were stasis locked in these battles, and with out the skill of the team’s field commander and medic, many of the Gothika Mortiis would have joined them.
The team did so well in these conflicts, that when the Decepticon high command needed a team to make planetfall on the desolate desert world of Vertox Quintus, they were chosen for the duty. When they arrived, however, they saw that the majority of the planet had been claimed by Autobot forces, forces that had seen the team arrive and were making their way to intercept the Decepticons. While the team were watching the shuttle that was bringing them much-needed reinforcements, they saw a volley of missiles streak towards the shuttle, horror struck as the shuttle was obliterated, killing all within. Knowing now that the Autobots were coming to fight them, they prepared for the worst, they prepared to die. However, they were given a brief respite in the form of a sandstorm, a blizzard of rubble, shrapnel and fallout. This gave them more time to prepare and pray to any god that would listen but as the sandstorm went on, the team slowly started to go lose their minds, an effect of the stress and radiation left from the wars that had ravaged the world centuries before.
But as the sandstorm cleared and prepared to attack, their prayers were answered as a space cruiser flew overhead strafing the Autobots, before returning to the Decepticon lines, and allowing four Archaicons down to the planet surface. With these new arrivals, the team won the victory despite the overwhelming odds, losing over half their number in the process. The team were told that they had been saved by Unicron’s will by the leader of these Archaicons, Jesus Prime. Upon hearing this, Gothika and his co-leader, Venomray, denounced Primus, instead taking up Unicron as their deity.
Wishing to learn more about the Unicron, he asked Jesus Prime to teach him about the Planet Eater. The Archaicon leader didn’t tell him, but invited him onto the Misanthropy. Telling the team to remain on Vertox Quintus, Gothika accepted and was taken to Unicron’s head, where he fell, in wonder and awe, to his knees. Upon taking Gothika back to Vertox Quintus, Jesus Prime gave him a small gift in the form of the minicons, Vladimir and Estragon, before leaving to do Unicron’s bidding once more. The minicons were of a great help to Gothika, now taking the title Lord after seeing Unicron, telling him of Jesus Primes history, and aiding him in learning the worship and rituals of Unicron. The teachings of the minicons formed the basis of Gothika’s, and his teams’, interpretation of worshipping Unicron.
However, whereas Jesus Prime wants to destroy everything in the universe in the name of Unicron, Gothika does not agree with this, he believes that it should not be destroyed, but conquered in a universe-spanning crusade. This has led Gothika to be a zealous warrior, resentful and merciless to any who worship Primus or any other god. He is suspicious of any non-believers of Unicron, and given half the chance, if they invoke his ire will send them to Vitae Mortis to be ‘persuaded’ to join Unicron’s followers.
He has recently converted the minicons given to him by Jesus Prime to serve his purpose, instead of Prime’s, using them to maintain cults dedicated to Unicron on primitive worlds, allowing him to collect tithes and tributes from the planet’s populace.
As a Decepticon, he got to know of Thunderwing and his Pretender technology. Wishing to improve his team’s performance he struck a deal with Thunderwing to give his entire team the technology, however, an incident which ended up with Cretae, the first to become a pretender, went on a rampage in one of Thunderwing’s research facilities destroying the place. Thunderwing blamed Gothika for this, claiming he had wanted to ruin him from the beginning of their correspondence, and made attempts on both his and Create’s life on many occasion leading Gothika to become his bitter enemy.
This incident, and his ties to Prime, led Gothika and his team to join the Renegade Decepticon Dissidents, a splinter faction from the Decepticons filled with those dissatisfied with how the Decepticons were being commanded. While the RDD was led by Dynamax, Gothika felt more loyalty towards Jesus Prime.
In the raid on Vos, he fought with the RDD to gain Jesus Prime the time to find and retrieve the fabled Craoí Dubh Engine. Later in that campaign, after Prime had found the Engine, Gothika found the shards of Prime’s bonesword. Colecting them up he vowed to find a way to restore so he could use it, a holy relic of Unicron.
Following Jesus Prime, Gothika and his team have been spotted on Schlachthoft-Funf, a planet ruled by a group known as the Reich.
Name: Databyte
Allegiance: Decepticon
Sub-Group: Eisen Dragoons
Function: Information Retrieval & Codebreaker
Transformations: Basilisk lizard & USB flash drive (Snapbyte); Osprey & Memory Card (Datawing)
“If information is power, then Primus has nothing on me!”
Profile: For Databyte, there isn’t a computer made that can’t be hacked, a transmission that can’t be tapped into, or a code that can’t be broken. Few other units on either side can match her in these fields; she’s been known to break into seemly protected networks and download any relevant – and even irrelevant – data within a matter of nano-clicks. She is intensely curious and will download everything she can fit onto her memory drives for study later. This last trait can be particularly frustrating to her teammates; especially for those who are unfortunate enough to be stuck with the task of isolating the pertinent information from the extraneous data she’s collected. This data can run the gamut from a base’s personnel files to useless trivia from an obscure television program. Databyte can herself hinder rather than help this process, often suggesting red herrings and even outright refusing to turn over any information she’s gathered, even under the threat of torture or termination. The reasons behind Databyte’s uncooperative nature are unknown; it could be that she likes knowing things others don’t, or it could be simply an impish mischievous streak. There is one Decepticon who can get Databyte to cooperate without having to jump through hopes for it: Karakal. No one’s completely sure why this is so, but Novacula offers one suggestion: “The cat scares the oil out of her.”
Abilities: Databyte’s memory storage capacity is nearly infinite, which is especially useful for those moments when she’s downloading a databank’s worth of information. Her hacking and code breaking skills are matched by only a few; she can break into secured databases in nano-clicks and even new codes aren’t safe from her. In her robotic form, she’s armed with a pair of hypersonic blasters capable of frying the auditory and ocular circuitry of an opponent, rendering them both deaf and blind. She can split into two mentally linked yet autonomous units called Datawing and Snapbyte. Datawing can fly at speeds of Mach 1.5, is armed with a pair of electrostatic pulse rifles that can overload exposed circuitry, and can tear out an opponent’s optics with its razor-sharp talons and hooked beak. Snapbyte is quick and agile over land, and even faster in water, reaching speeds of up to 10 knots in open water, and is armed with a pair of 30mm antimatter pulse cannons that have the ability to fire from beneath the surface of water. It should be noted that Datawing and Snapbyte lack any individuality; they act simply as extensions of Databyte’s personality.
Weakness: Databyte’s curiosity is her biggest weakness; she’s easily distracted by trivial matters and allows her mind to wander even under the most extreme circumstances. Her predilection for making her fellow Decepticons jump through hoops to get any useful information from her makes her few friends. In fact, the only reason for her continued existence is that she’s good at her job – and the fact that Karakal can usually get her to cooperate. Injury to either her Datawing or Snapbyte modules is felt by the other.
Profile: In the opinion of the majority of Decepticons, Sea Wolf is the laziest waste of metal to come off the assembly line in a long time. He moves at his own leisurely pace, if he moves at all: most of the time, he can be found lounging in his undersea lair or drifting idly in the sea currents, listening to the latest cyber-country music album or watching Deliverance for the umpteenth time. His personal habits don’t win him any friends either; when he comes ashore, he can usually be found picking kelp out of his vents or scraping barnacles off his superstructure. The slow manner of his speech and slight Cajun accent make him appear even less sophisticated to his fellow Decepticons; no one’s really sure where he picked up that trait. But behind the slow drawl, odd grooming habits, and vacant stare ticks the processors of a cunning and patient undersea warrior. He sees little point in wasting precious energy pursuing invisible enemies and prefers to wait until they come to him. He’s been known to sit under the surface of the water for hours, even days, waiting for an opponent to come by. To maximize his chances, he typically sits in wait near established convoy routes. As for his grooming habits, it has less to do with vanity than it does with basic maintenance: ridding himself of all that debris improves his performance significantly. He regards the water as his private domain and any intrusion is grounds for an immediate investigation. He makes it a point not to reveal his location until he’s determined whether the “intruder” is a friend or foe: if it’s an ally, he’ll let them be; if it’s a foe, he strikes with lethal force. He will often salvage parts from his vanquished foes and his undersea den is littered with his “trophies;” he seems to be particularly fond of parts from nuclear submarines. The other Eisen Dragoons don’t always appreciate his “hobbies,” but they know they can rely on him and his undersea abilities to get the job done.
Name: Spiritimus Prime
Nickname: Spirit
Alt Mode: Western Dragon
Function: Commander
Team: United Heroes
Theme song: The Dream Within - Lara Fabain and Josh Groban
Voice Actor: Susan Blu (Animated Arcee)
Quote: "Courage is not defined by those who fought and did not fall, but by those who fought, fell, and rose again."
Bio: Kind, wise and understanding, Spirit knows what's right and what's wrong, she never gives up hope and never backs down from a battle even when her life is on the line. She strongly believes that her team should always come first before she does. She has a love for Earth because of its beauty and would do anything in her strength to protect it, even sacrifice her life just so that Earth can live in peace. A lover of Earth's mythical creatures but a big fan of its most powerful one, the dragon, Spirit decided to adopt the dragon as her alt mode and has kept it ever since she first came to Earth. She is so in love with her alt mode that she has been known to stay in it for years without having to transform back into robot mode. A leader in the best sense of the world, she knows how to react and how to think when danger threatens.
Weapons/Abilities: Her fiery breath, in beast mode, has been known to melt even the toughest armour. In the air, she can fly at speeds of 90 mph, in a dive. She is known to reach speeds of 270 mph. Her tail is so flexible she can use it as a whip in robot or beast form to give her enemies a very painful lash that can sting their armour. Spirit prefers to use close range weapons such as swords because of the deadly blows they can deal. Her back can be removed to form an Energon-Crossbow that she uses in a deadly manner, but this is used rarely. She also holds a blaster that is her best long ranged weapon that she wields accurately, the blaster can fire large amounts of energon that can even blast a limb off or blow a hole in the middle of an enemy's chest plate and can even blast through 30ft of concret. Her sense of hearing, smell and sight also keep her out of harms way.
Weakness: Her concern for the weak can lead Spirit to her downfall and allow her opponents gain an advantage on her while is down. Although her enemies can fake it, she never allows them to gain that type of advantage when she truly knows what's going to happen. However, she has light armour to keep in the air and to move extremely quickly but because she is lightly armoured, this can lead to a low endurance to very powerful blasts of energy.
Name: Novacula
Allegiance: Decepticon
Sub-Group: Eisen Dragoons
Function: Armed Reconnaissance/Forward Air Control
Transformation: RAH-66 Comanche
“I don't care if I win or lose; it's the challenge that interests me!”
Profile: Novacula’s mental state is something of a mystery to his fellow Decepticons. Considering how many times he’s jumped into situations that would make Primus and Unicron balk, they can’t tell if he’s suffering from a glitch or if he really was programmed to be that insane. Most of his comrades lean towards the latter and given him the nickname “Mad Novacula,” or just simply “The Mad.” While insanity might play a part, the real reason behind his penchant for taking long odds is that he simply loves a challenge. He’s been known to volunteer for assignments that even the most mentally unbalanced Decepticon considers suicide. It wouldn’t matter if he has to face a horde of Autobots by himself or go up against Metroplex himself; the more difficult the mission, the happier Novacula is. To him, winning is never the goal and he’s been known to sulk after an easy victory. He’s well aware of the moniker his comrades have given him and doesn’t mind; the opinion of others is not his concern. He’s more concerned with watching the mission postings, looking for that especially challenging mission that’s looking for half-crazed volunteers - like himself.
Abilities: Novacula’s unique angular shape and RAM superstructure deflects and absorbs a variety of sensor signals, so much so that his return signature isn’t registered as a helicopter, much less a large Decepticon. Even the main rotor blades deflect and absorb sensory signals and his fantail rotor is shrouded, thus reducing the noise made when the rotor wakes meet. His exhaust is ducted downward through slots in his tail, reducing his heat signature. He’s armed with a 20mm Gatling gun that can be stowed internally and can be converted into a hand-held weapon in robot mode. He can use his main rotor like a massive star shuriken, turning it into a flying buzz saw capable of tearing up anything its path. While he prefers a special type of spark-seeking missiles, his internal weapons bays can carry just about any type of ordinance, and he can carry more on a pair of wing-like external weapons carriages.
Weakness: Novacula has earned his moniker for a reason; he’ll take chances even the Stunticon Wildrider would consider insane and he sometimes has to be dragged away from a fight that’s going badly. His rotor-blades can easily be ruined by medium-rated armor and affect his ability to fly. Attaching the external weapons winglets severely reduces his stealth capabilities. His habit of pushing his limits beyond what they were designed for sometimes results in him causing damage to himself, ranging anywhere to overheated circuits to stripped gears and broken rotor shafts.
Name: Celaeno
Allegiance: Decepticon
Sub-Group: Eisen Dragoon
Function: Wild Weasel
Transformation: JAS 39A Gripen
“You gotta be slaggin’ me!”
Profile: “As bold as she is beautiful” is a common saying around Celaeno’s admirers and many consider the statement the highest compliment anyone could give her. For her part, Celaeno is unconcerned with accolades of any kind and has even less use for “groupies” hanging around her. Those who try to get to know her get firsthand experience with her cold and distant personality as she harshly rebuffs them. The reason for her aloof nature comes from her job suppressing the air defenses of enemy fortifications, commonly known as “Wild Weasel” missions. Described as “playing tag with a flashlight in the dark,” these missions are known to extremely dangerous and have a high casualty rate among volunteers. That Celaeno has survived as many missions as she has says as much about her luck as it does her skills, but with that longevity comes the memories of watching comrades in arms go down, never to be seen again. These memories have made her reluctant to form any new attachments; usually, outside the occasional cold rebuke, she treats her peers with a degree of respectful professionalism. Despite her reluctance to make friends, Celaeno is close two of her fellow Eisen Dragoons: the high-flying scout Stratosphera and the half-insane Novacula. Novacula seems to elicit the most concern from Celaeno, which may be born of her memories of seeing similar risk-taking units like him perish.
Abilities: Celaeno can reach speeds of up to Mach 2.1 in vehicle mode and operate as high as 50,000ft in an Earth-like atmosphere. Her Gripen form is armed with a 27mm laser-pulse cannon under the cockpit fuselage and is capable of carrying up to 14,300lbs of ordinance on seven wing and undercarriage hard points. She carries one of the most precise targeting systems in the Decepticon arsenal; it’s rumored that she could thread a Sidewinder missile cleanly through a sewer pipe. She typically carries an electronic countermeasures (ECM) pod that that prevents an opponent’s weaponry from locking onto her by jamming the sensor frequency; giving her a little extra time to trace the beam back to its source. Her unique canard configuration means she has significantly better performance than most; she has a higher pitch rate and lower drag, enabling her to be faster, have a longer range, and carry a larger payload than similar sized aircraft. The canards also assist in landing while in jet mode; tilting them forward turns the canards into large airbrakes, thus slowing her down considerably, and allowing her to mimic her alt’s Short Take-off and Landing (STOL) abilities. In robot mode, she’s nearly as fast and is armed with a powerful, high-energy energon crossbow that she’s affectionately named "the Red Baron."
Weakness: Wild Weasel missions are best described as “playing tag in the dark with a flashlight;” the light lets you know where your target is, but also reveals your position to him and any of his friends. This is basically Celaeno’s job in a nutshell; she often books her time in the CR Pool several mega-cycles in advance, since she's almost guaranteed to come back in need of repairs. Her ECM pod, inherently unstable airframe, and no small bit of luck have allowed her to avoid the “golden BB” thus far. She suffers from a glitch in her hardwired software that no one can seem to pinpoint; the effects can range from mild vertigo to a stalled engine.
Aveskout was raised in the middle of the gunfire, sirens and screams of the Vos-Iacon war. She was constantly being hunted as her family had been causing trouble in the areas of Vos controlled by Iacon, and had to move from one shelter to another on almost a daily basis. When she woke from her sleep, a family would usually be missing, and she prayed that she would make it through each day.
Eventually, the Havocon Division was created, and the casualties that were caused by them caused Fracturepoint, the Governor of Iacon, to order a full withdrawal of the Iacon forces.
Trying to ensure that her family’s deaths were not in vain and to gain revenge on Iacon, she became a soldier of fortune. She tried her best to fight for cause that would prove the most problematic for Iacon, fighting in the Hibernium resistance as well as fighting for Polyhex in the Polyhex wars.
She eventually became a renowned sniper and was capable of waiting for a target for weeks without moving before killing them with her weapon of choice, a disruptor rifle. However, through her many years of sniping, she has developed an addiction for diazepam, a human drug used to relieve anxiety and to stop muscle spasms.
Her participation in the Polyhex wars gained her the attention of Straxus, who invited her to join a unit he was putting together to give to an ally of his, who had proven invaluable in stopping an Iacon ploy to sabotage Polyhex.
During her years in Gothika Mortiis, she has learnt to use dual laser pistols for when the enemy is too close for her sniper rifle to be effectively used.
