Absolutely they did alright. That's why I said even a 40 year old QB could have taken that team to the Super Bowl. They were that good. Yeah he might have had only 1 ring, but he set all those QB records. Some of those will likely be standing for a long time. I know Peyton and Brady have broken a couple of records themselves (whether they were Favre's or not) but Peyton is all but finished and Brady probably has 3 more good years in him if he takes care of himself.

Wow...what a slew of early games.

How 'bout them...Lions?!?!?! OK, it's official. The Lions are for real. And has there been a bigger hyped disaster than the Philadelphia Eagles? Wow! Blowing a huge lead to a rebuilding 49ers team may be the low point of an unremarkable season thus far for the Eagles. And WTF is going on in Pittsburgh? Way too many injuries this year for them, I think, but Houston is looking pretty impressive. We'll have to see how that severe that injury to Andre Johnson is.

And my Bears finally learned how to run the football. Congrats to Devon Hester on breaking the NFL's all-time punt return record with his 12th TD today.

I still think the Lions will get a wild card at best. And then get booted in the first round. As for the Steelers and Eagles, I'm very ecstatic about their demises. Even though I was one who bought into the Eagles getting a possible Super Bowl run. And finally Buffalo got brought down to Earth. Now, if only the Pats lose and the Jets win, this will be a really good weekend.

Although watching the NE/OAK game, I pulling my hair out watching the raiders run right through the defence in the first half. Much as I love the pats, you cant just pound on them on offense, you need to be able to stop them from scoring to.

But watching the first half (had to go to work at 10) I saw what was going on. Mostly, it was the inexperience of Colin Baxter, the rookie center who took over for Nick Mangold. He was clearly intimidated and rattled by Ray Lewis and that offensive line. Of course, Ed Reed jumping around Mark Sanchez like a monkey didn't help either. Anyway, I make no excuses, the Jets got beat and embarrassed Sunday night. If mangold comes back and no one else gets hurt, it'll be a really good game against the Patriots. If things stay the way they are, you're welcome for the practice game.

If there is one thing I learned from previos Jets/Pats game, The hype going in (usually by sportscenter) is justified, because ANYTHING can happen. Last season for instance, 1st game, Pats lose by 2 touch downs. Next game, they WON by 6 touchdowns. then lost a close playoff game. next week's gonna be good, so I must start stocking up on teryaki jerky nugguts. yum

Oakland Raiders owner/GM/headcoach Al Davis has died. Though he has recently helped turn the Raiders into a near-laughingstock with laughable decisions and a rotating door policy for head coaches, there is no doubt he was one of the architects of the NFL's success over the last 40 years. His contributions will be remembered.

also, Pats v Jets. TOM BRADY WAS SACKED 3 TIMES. They can not keep winning games like this. Sooner or later, a team with good O and D will catch them with they're pants down

I want to see Baltimore and New England go head to head this year. The Pats would get stomped.

Okay, question: is Tennessee the real deal and just had a bad day, or did the sleeping giant that is the Pittsburgh Steelers wake up today?

That jets-Pats game turned out to be a good one. Oh and Tampa? Double-yoo Tee Eff???

The Eagles are toast for the year. Buffalo is for real...maybe they will go to the Super Bowl and lose like all those other great Bills teams...

Lastly, let the debate begin anew in Denver. Tebow actually looked pretty good. Orton looked like crap. And where is Brady Quinn? Is John Elway available? Or can they get Brett Favre to un-retire again? :BOOM:

Oh god here we go with the Tebow thing again. He's not good people, he's not cam newton. He doesn't have the weapons or downfield blockers like he did in college. They should just give him to McDaniels who made the mistake of wasting a 1st rounder on him in the first place.

Tennessee got off to a rough start. They were looking good in the second half but it was to little to late

At QB, well Orton only has one win this year, so I couldn't REALLY blame Denver if they went to Tebow, their season is done either way. Putting in Tebow just admits it.

On their entire team though? I'd take McGahee, Von Miller, Dumervil, Orton, Llyod, and probably Knowshown as being better than Tebow. Again, couldn't blame them for trying to see what they've got at this point.
