Well, think about this. Usagi may be at age 14, but she is far from being at the maturity level of a 14-year-old. Why, Chibiusa's around 9 physically, yet she's more mature than Usagi.

Okay... how does this refute what I think about Luna? ;) Her human form looks older than a teenager to me, and it'd make more sense for her to simply be more mature so to better teach Usagi.
Well, by that point in the story, Usagi's 15, so Luna's human form would better resemble a 16-year-old then.

Either way, she shouldn't resemble someone beyond 19. Looking at her now, she actually looks more like 17 or 18 to me. So... yeah.

So... yeah. Sorry, but the voice just fits for me. I don't think we'll be agreeing here. :PEACE:

I wonder if Hotaru went to the same school Usagi, Ami, Makoto and Naru went to... :p

In the manga, she went on to attend Juban Municipal Primary School with Chibiusa (until Chibiusa had to go back home to the future, leaving Hotaru to attend school without her).

As for her further schooling, we don't know. Some think that, after Usagi and Mamoru got married at the end of Act 52, Crystal Tokyo is finished being built and everyone stopped aging due to the powers of the Ginzuishou. Leaving Hotaru/Saturn to be her youthful self.

And when this would occur, each of the Senshi would fully commit to her Senshi duties, so schooling probably wasn't as big a priority as protecting the royal family (though, since she's still young, it's possible that she was permitted to continue her education).

In the anime, we don't know what she did, what with her barely appearing in Sailor Stars beyond the mini-arc of the first six episodes.

Oh boy, have I found something interesting.

RK_Striker_JK_5, ya know how before I kept saying that Luna's age is supposed to be one year above Usagi's? Well, I was just looking at some images when I came across this one that proved my statements of her age to be false. Turns out that her age isn't one year above Usagi's, but actually one below Usagi's.

That's... odd. I guess either Luna's extremely mature and grown-up for her age, or Usagi's more immature and childish than we thought.

I can't believe how anal Toei is being by not letting English speaking countries have the right to license the brand. They would make ALOT of money if they did. I'd buy the mangas if available and dvds of the anime. I guess I better pray that the yen goes up so the exchange is not so bad on my wallet so I can get stuff from Japan then.

Yoda was 900 by the time he died, if she was 901, then she'd be older than him.

The really odd part is that, as I opened Wookieepedia to check if that's right, the quote of the day was also about Yoda.

Actually she would be younger than Yoda if still lived, as he existed "A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away", whereas Chibiusa hails from the 30th Century in the future. Assuming the "galaxy far, far away" exists in this reality, those born in and living druing the 30th Century would be younger than those who lived "A long time ago". :-B

Doesn't change the fact that she's still older. "A long time ago" is extremely vague...and also ignored consistently in crossovers.

Still, it'd kinda creepy when a first grader is older than a geezer (no disrespect to the great Master Yoda-sama intended). ;)

Here's a question: can a senshi be non-celestial in origin? the sailor animates (spelling?) weren't, but then again they weren't really sailor senshi either, they stole the star seeds of their planets gaurdien senshi- I think- anyway I pretty sure the creator of Sailor Moon said somewhere that a senshi can get her power from any thin. and in the stars anime didn't the phages become a type of sailor senshi? that would be wierd because only a female can be a senshi... yet it is interesting that I read that Mamoru has a sailor crystal but does that make him a senshi? I heard no. Forgive my mistakes, its late I just wanted to post something. Please don't argue with me too much. :CON:

Hmm, that is a good question. And great for discussing.

Sailor Destron wrote:the sailor animates (spelling?) weren't, but then again they weren't really sailor senshi either, they stole the star seeds of their planets gaurdien senshi- I think- anyway I pretty sure the creator of Sailor Moon said somewhere that a senshi can get her power from any thin.
In the manga, the Sailor Animamates were individuals who had forcefully become Sailor Senshi by stealing the Sailor Crystal Star Seeds of Sailors Chuu, Mermaid, Coronis, Mau, and Cocoon. Since those five were the Sailor Senshi of the planets Chuu, Mermaid, Coronis, Mau, and Mermaid, the Animamates had thus becoem the Senshi of those planets, even if their names were different.

In the anime, however, the Sailor Animamates are implied to have once been good Sailor Senshi that were brought to evil by Galaxia.

Sailor Destron wrote:and in the stars anime didn't the phages become a type of sailor senshi? that would be wierd because only a female can be a senshi...
Phage are fake Sailor Senshi. They are cheap imitations that created artifically. And because they fakes and not actually Sailor Senshi, the gender rule doesn't apply to them.

Sailor Destron wrote:yet it is interesting that I read that Mamoru has a sailor crystal but does that make him a senshi? I heard no.
In a way, yes, but still no. In the manga, the Golden Crystal of Elysion was revealed to be Mamoru's Sailor Crystal, as well as a counterpart of Usagi's Ginzuishou/Silver Crystal. He has a Sailor Crystal, but this does not necessarily make him a Sailor Senshi.

He has a Sailor Crystal because he is the Soldier and Protector of the Earth in the same way the Sailor Senshi are the soldiers and protectors of their respective planetary objects (the Moon, the Solar System planets, and Pluto). It is because he has the Sailor Crystal of Earth that htere cannot be a "Sailor Earth". He takes the place of that Sailor Senshi.

This is also true for the anime, minus him having a Sailor Crystal (which didn't exist in the anime and were instead replaced by the True Star Seeds), but he was still the Earth's protector.

Wasn't it said in the anime that the Amazoness Quartet were actually the Guardian Senshi of the solar system's four major asteroids?

The Amazoness Quartet were not Sailor Senshi in the anime. They were, however, in the manga. After the Dead Moon Circus was defeated, Neo-Queen Serenity restored and purified the Amazoness Quartet into their proper forms: the Sailor Quartet.

CereCere became Sailor Ceres
PallaPalla became Sailor Pallas
VesVes became Sailor Vesta
JunJun became Sailor Juno

These four Sailor Senshi were Sailor Chibi Moon's team of Sailor Senshi in the 30th Century (just as the Four Guadian Deity Senshi are Sailor Moon's team), intended to be teamed with her when all her training as a Senshi would be complete (or at some point after completing some more of her training).

And, yes, these four Senshi are named after the four large asteroids (though, Ceres is now a dwarf planet), which are also celestial objects, even if they aren't moons, planets, or stars. So, these four are celestial in origin and do not count as being "non-celestial".

Although, getting back to the original question at hand, I think I've found a better answer than "Possibly".

Sailor Destron wrote:Here's a question: can a senshi be non-celestial in origin?
Looking at all the Sailor Senshi that there have been, I noticed that some of them are, in fact, not named after celestial objects. The following would be those particular Sailor Senshi:

Sailor Kakyuu, Sailor Lethe, Sailor Phi, Sailor Chi, Sailor Theta, Sailor Buttress, Sailor Pewter Fox, Sailor Titanium Kerokko/Sailor Mitis Kerokko, and the five other Sailor Animamates (though the manga made them into planetary Senshi by having them steal the Senshi powers of the previous Sailor Senshi of the planets Chuu, Mermaid, Coronis, Mau, and Cocoon).

However, there are two others (Sailor Mnemosyne and Sailor Astarte) that don't seem to be named after any celestial objects, but could still be, as there are existing celestial objects (672 Astarte, a minor planet, and 57 Mnemosyne, an asteroid) that are named after the the very mythological things that these two Sailor Senshi are named after (Astarte and Mnemosyne). So, if they are named after these two objects, we don't know for sure.

Other fake Sailor Senshi besides Phage, are Sailor Channel, Sailor Guccicci, Sailor Tamasaburou, Sailor Chibiusa Moon, Sailor A, Sailor K, Sailor N, Sailor M, and Sailor Rabbit. But since these are just fakes, they likely don't even count. ;)

And then there's Sailor V (though a pre-form of Minako's Sailor Venus form, "V" on its own is not related to a celestial object).

I love that Senshi can 'come' from moons and other objects like that. Opens up a whole wide range of possibilities. Also leaves Pluto's powers intact. :P
Not caring about scale since 1984. Just like Hasbro.

Of course, there's no way Naoko would have known in 1992 that Pluto would no longer be a planet by 2006... ;)

I remember reading a fanfic where that happened. Trust me, it did not turn out well. ;)

Thinking more on the matter of whether or not there could be non-celestial Sailor Senshi, I asked around elsewhere, pointing out the Sailor Senshi listed above as examples. The answers I got back seem to indicate that, in some way or fashion, all Sailor Senshi (except for the fake ones) are celestial. The two best answers I got back are the following...
However, I am pretty sure that every Senshi in the Sailor Moon verse is based around some kind of celestial object.
Otherwise, well, it kind of defeats the point of the series.

Well the universe is a big place so they could be from any of those planets that no one knows about, or their related moons.

So, referring back to the original question provided by Sailor Destron, I'd have to say, "No. A Sailor Senshi cannot be non-celestial in origin."
