Go to your fleet -> any ships ->destination: (your system):16th planet (in the galaxy map, it should be marked as outer space) ->expedition
according to the boards, there could be:
-black holes where your fleet vanishes
-enemy ships (pirates-weaker fleet or aliens-harder fleet)
-resources that you can get
-dark matter
-abandoned fleets that can join your fleet

Cal- I dunno. It doesn't appear in the tech sheet does it?
You don't leave your planet alone for extended periods do you?
I really can't imagine where it's going...
Unless the materials can randomly float off, or get burned up somehow (how close to your star are you?)....

The more likely thing I think is that someone is hitting you with a recycler late at night when you're not around. As long as they do it before midnight, I don't think you'd see a report of incoming fleets in the morning.
Sneaky.

Somebody must be harvesting it; My Recycler didn't provoke the defense till now, and I've read there can't be battles at DFs.
EDIT: Just In from my Expedition:
"We found a deserted pirate station. There are some old ships lying in the hangar. Our technicians are figuring out whether some of them are still useful or not.
The following ships are now part of the fleet:

Should.
Though I had my fleet in orbit when my neighbour and his recyclers came-a-visiting.

You got Dark Matter units of 112.

I'm going for 50 Heavy Fighters now and then start some raiding.
I've sent my colony ship on work for my next planet. It will be the third layer of the Nine Hells.

You got me there, thats not excessive, thats pretty sensible. Good plan.Caelus wrote:Psychout wrote:Caelus, isnt 42 lasers a bit... excessive?
I'm up to 65 now. I plan to go to 100, at which point I'll feel comfortable letting my resources stock-pile high enough to continue with the increasingly expensive research and upgrades.
Having 25,000 of each resource sitting in your reserves makes you a juicy target...
Im the outer planet in my system so Im thinking that expedition tech maybe pretty helpful, especially if it has a change of yeilding Dark Matter, but its a colony ship I need first, the inactive planet next door keeps winking at me...

I guess I'd best build a fleet first though as I've been shoring up defenses since I'm now getting buzzed 3-4 times a day from espionage probes.
So Pychout - we gonna start OGame Fight club somehow?
Is it possible to go combined raiding perhaps and have a pillage on our lunchbreaks?

Think battles take way too long for it to be a lunchtime thing. I guess we'll just have to wait til HMW is back up for our lunchtime doses of violence.
Incedentally, did anyone find out who pathogen was? He's gone inactive in G3 and I may be obliged to claim his planet...

In U:20, I'm just one impulse upgrade away from expedition tech. I'm going to have fun with that, as my neighbors are too high to be taken over.
100 lasers may be excessive, as planets seem to have a limit on the number of buildings/upgrades possible.

There's no place like home!

Not defenses. You can build as many defense as you have resources. And... 100 Light Lasers doesn't sound so stupid. According to the calculators, it can punch back up to 21 Cruisers.

Just a Warning: Core planets are SMALL meaning my pl1 colony in U20 is 43 fields, pl2 colony is 56 fields.

Here is an expedition FAQ.
http://board.ogame.org/thread.php?threadid=388177
Happy reading :]
I've recently found an amazing farm in uni 20, ranked thousands above me but has no defense! I'm pulling in an extra 100k res every day thanks to this guy
My uni37 fleet got nerfed though
*TIP*
Try to put priority on light lasers over rocket launchers. Cruisers have rapid fire against RL's and light fighters so they won't help you much.
Just a Warning: Core planets are SMALL meaning my pl1 colony in U20 is 43 fields, pl2 colony is 56 fields.
Not just core planets. I my 2:158:13 only has 23 fields. As far as I can tell, the best slots are between 4 and 10. Core planets have the temperatures to let you use solar satellites in place of solar plants, at least. In slot 13, 1 solar satellite gives me 10 energy lol.

Choose an empty place from the galaxy map (no planet image (inactive planets can't be colonized))-> fleet menu -> colony ship -> coords; colonization...
Be prepared to send a light cargo with about 1000-1500 metal, and 1000 deuterium to the new planet, it will help (my tactic is to build as many crystal mine levels as I can, then metal, then build a deut mine, then going for a robot factory and shipyard).

You donlt colonize inactive planets, you raid them endlessly
To colonize, go to your fleet screen then send it to an empty slot. Psych, I'd suggest going to slot 3 in your system, or possibly going to 262:10. If you stay in system you can use it as a mining planet to boost your homeworld, and if you go to 262 you can use it as a staging point to raid planets in that system.
Anyway, you select your colony ship, set your co-ords and select "colonization" as the mission. DO NOT send any resources in the colony ship as you'll lose them, and don't send any cargo as they'll just come back. Go make a planet, THEN send res over.
ps my last two CR's:
The attacker has won the battle!
He captured
13.197 metal, 7.730 crystal, and 0 deuterium
The attacker has won the battle!
He captured
34.675 metal, 28.057 crystal, and 5.648 deuterium
Both within 5 mins of each other, both with no opposition

I'm finding light cargoes to be very useful in ferrying res between my planets, where time isn;t a factor. But you'll need large cargo units to maximise your raiding profits.
That said, I'm finding recyclers to be very useful in acting as havy cargo. Capacity of 20k isn't bad at all, it's just a pity they're so damn slow!

a Halo vs HaloReborn clan war.
With any luck they will batter the crap out of each other and we can pick off the peices as galaxy 3 is infested with Halo teams.
They also have no idea how to smack talk properly.
