People with dark colored hair is hard to dye it and the color dye really doesn't show up except under sertain lighting conditions like you described. Otherwise, just haveing dark colored hair isn't going to cause any unnatually colored shine effect.
No I said hair that is so black it gives off a purple or blue sheen. Usually I only see/hear of this in relation to asian hair but my point is the same. I'm not talking about the actual color of the hair but how in certain light it gives of a sheen or shine. It's kinda hard to explain.

Of course certain artists could interpret the colors differently, but the whole shade argument could be brought back up about that.

Yeah but I like to assume it's black because that's what they called it when Peter wore it. But who's to say besides those on colors for said media.
