In case you haven't noticed, he pretty much is this show's answer to Hot Rod. A rambunctious Autobot youth who turns into a sportscar, disobeys orders, yet shows qualities of a prodigy and comes from a prestigious background of having been part of the Elite Guard and mentored by Optimus's old mentor Alpha Trion. He couldn't have been more obvious if he had been painted red with yellow flames.Draco_Magnus wrote:Ok, any bots or cons seen the first three episodes of tfp beast hunters? i just saw them on youtube and as we heard from the tv spots that there will be a new prime, as Optimus, himself said. but the ending to episode three of beast hunters was a real shock to me. it completely blew my predictions for the new prime out of the water, i was expecting Ultra Magnus, or even Rodimus, it was niether of them. if any of you saw the singapore special on youtube, then you know who i'm refering to. of all autobots, that guy? how does he have what it takes to be a prime? i mean come on, man. g1 Rodimus would've been a better choice, but him? Earth is sooooooo scrapped.

What rumors? Tank-moded Vehicons, as well as helicopter and truck versions, were made for the Prime video game, but not the cartoon.TurboMMaster wrote:I just hope that rumors of Vechicons turning into tanks is true.

Not to mention that "they" are two separate groups. The people who animate the show aren't the same group who animated the video game.Shadowman wrote:TurboMMaster wrote:If they already have design, then why don't use them? Because there's a huge difference between a design and a model. They have the former. To put them in the show would require the latter.

You know, there's something that bugs me. "Prime" status is pretty flimsy. Somehow it's both a granted title, and yet Megatron was able to make himself a Prime by grafting parts onto himself. And somehow the Relics are smart enough to recognize someone being called a Prime, and and yet not smart enough to recognize someone who isn't a Prime but cut off the arm of one and grafted it onto himself. And I know you could say it's because of being a Matrix Bearer, and that information is retained in the corpse...well, except Solus Prime wasn't a Matrix Bearer, Prima was, and yet she could still use her own hammer.
...

Ancient Robot Magic, that's my answer to it all. Not science, magic.

Yeah, with that preview that had Optimus saying something about a new prime (haven't watched the third episode, so I don't know how much is revealed), I was thinking Magnus might "become" a Prime. I also didn't know if he was already ranked higher than Optimus or anything in this universe, like in Animated. Haven't read any comics. Though I do remember seeing a comic that had him holding the forge on the cover?

Yeah, and it wasn't a comic, but the Exodus novel, that first established this Ultra Magnus as having served beneath Optimus in the war.viruscarnage wrote:YRQRM0 wrote:I also didn't know if he was already ranked higher than Optimus or anything in this universe
No Ultra Magnus was one Optimus' lieutenant during the war for cybertron but Optimus was still the leader/supreme commander.YRQRMO wrote:Haven't read any comics. Though I do remember seeing a comic that had him holding the forge on the cover?
That was "Rage of The Dinobots" comic which is a prequel to prime if I remember correctly

19 is the one where they all get stuck in a cave. 20 is the one where Starscream tries and fails to join the Autobots. That Bot wrote:That would be really strange, since episode 19 has Starscream's defection, leading to him pleading to join the Autobots in episode 20. Maybe it's just a mistake?

Yuo said 19 had his defection, which didn't come until 20. He was all Decepticon in 19.That Bot wrote:That's what I said.
