Same here. Ever since the "Operation Bumblebee" 2-parter (or maybe since "Loose Cannons") the show has been consistently good, in my eyes.

As I've said in the past, there are only seven episodes in season 1 that I get any real consistent enjoyment out of.

Ya I only watched Season 1 because I was really bored, and at the time I was unaware of other series like G1 because I transferred from a Movie fan to a all around TF Fan.

There is a particular order to that, it goes in order of when they aired. :P

Is this excluding the season finale and Mini-series? I've seen people exclude those from the season for some reason.

Agreed. Plus the whole thing about Cliffjumper setting a tone or whatever, no one really cared about that character yet so it wasn't a huge deal that he died. It's completely different than one of the main characters dying now after seasons of development. And don't say you loved Cliffjumper because you're a huge cliffjumper fan or something, this is a whole new character on a new series. The purpose of that was to give Arcee all those emotional moments and whatnot.

Yes at least it's not completely ripping of another series, or has extremely annoying characters like Energon.

At the the end of the day its a mini-series that will most likely be part of the Aligned Continuity, and may play a role in the next series.

If you're talking about GO! not completely ripping of another series:

The main bad guy is accidentally reactivated and the bad guys are going after an artifact that the main human possesses.

Image

Also, I learned from a friend of mine that the plot plays out astoundingly similarly to another show Takara produces, which name escapes me

If you're talking about Prime, then...

At the the end of the day its a mini-series that will most likely be part of the Aligned Continuity,

GO! is the sequel to Beast Suckers.

and may play a role in the next series.

I pray Hasbro doesn't dub that monstrosity.

Sabrblade wrote:"Predatory", "Sick Mind", "Out of His Head", "Crisscross", "Rock Bottom", "Partners", and "Stronger, Faster"

Out of what you picked, I'll strike what I don't like/particularly care for.

Sabrblade wrote:"Predatory", "Sick Mind", "Out of His Head", "Crisscross", "Rock Bottom", "Partners", and "Stronger, Faster"

And then on top of that:

"Operation: Breakdown," "Metal Attaraction" (the best episode in Season 1, and at tie for best in the series with "The Human Factor" and "Thirst"), "Speed Metal," "Con Job," "Deus Ex Machina," and to an extent, "Darkness Rising, Part 1."

So, basically, nearly half the season I like. The others I don't hate, but don't care for either. The only episodes from season 1 I don't like are "Masters and Students" and "Convoy."

Sabrblade wrote:Can't we all just agree that killing off Cliffjumper the way they did was a stupid way to set a tone that the show obviously wouldn't have been able to keep in the long run, instead of letting the story itself set the tone on its own without having to rely on a cheap shock gimmick?

alright I submit.

Hmm well since I don't watch anything other then TF and Hockey it will appear original to me ;)

PrymeStriker wrote:GO! is the sequel to Beast Suckers.

Is Takara supporting the Aligned Continuity? I thought this was Hasbro's doing Aligned and that since this is a Takara series, I figured that Hasbro could adopt it into Aligned if they wanted to, but don't necessarily need to, if that make sense which I doubt it does.

PrymeStriker wrote:I pray Hasbro doesn't dub that monstrosity.

On another thread I said the very same thing.

Since we're talking Season 1 episodes...

The only one I didn't particularly care for was "Predatory", even though Airachnid ultimately made for an interesting character. I think "Masters and Students" gets a bad rap not because it's a bad episode, just a horribly overexposed one that comes on lots of tiny DVDs. It's not often you see a character debut, get killed off immediately, and then have two toys come out several months later. And this character wasn't even voiced by the Rock!

As for the rest of the season... "TMI" and "Deus Ex Machina" aren't terribly exciting, though the former did provide a crucial plot element, as we now know. "Darkness Rising" could've stood to be one episode shorter, but that's mostly to remove those horrible humans from taking up so much screentime.

Really, I'd like Season 1 a lot if Miko had fewer prominent appearances. I didn't care for her character at all until "Hurt".

Here's the thing about Cliffjumper, the promotional material we got suggested he would be a main recurring character, that and the fact that he was finally his own design again and not just a Bumblebee repaint made us love him. Adding to that he was the main character in the (at the time) in cannon prequel comic, and he was the first character we got to see in the show. And then he died.
So yes that was a pretty big shock and we did feel it, but I agree after a while you just kinda forget about it and don't really care for him anymore.

Same here. Ever since the "Operation Bumblebee" 2-parter (or maybe since "Loose Cannons") the show has been consistently good, in my eyes.

As I've said in the past, there are only seven episodes in season 1 that I get any real consistent enjoyment out of.

Understandable from a TF fan's perspective. But personally I think just the show itself should be judged, as in if someone who had never seen Transformers before watched it from beginning to end, they wouldn't have a single complaint about Cliffjumper dying. Granted, idk how much of it they would still appreciate/understand, but still. Cliffjumper's death felt like a pretty great plot device and I couldn't care less if one character was just kinda "wasted" like that.

well they killed a lot of characters in this one sky quake and dread wing both bought the energon farm -and so did breakdown and makeshift -but we will see what the next thing they come up with will be. -we may get something good -though i suspect the reason primes is ending is to clear out for the movie. toys for tf4. which i am annoyed is even being done at this point i want the movie to stop so we can let it sit till their ready to do it properly the next time -with out the human annoyance. -seriously michael bay should be doing a gi joe movie not transformers what is wrong with people in hollywood

But the Prime Beast Hunters toyline is going to keep going into Spring 2014, which will be at least eight months after the final episode airs this Friday.

It's stopping at episode 65 because episode 65 was always their longterm goal.

i don't think so -its not a full season for one and second the ending is rushed -i have no doubts this was the planned ending but i think it was accelerated other wise why bring in the predacon at all -it makes more sense that it was cut off after the 7th or so episode around the time that thirst was being written

i just think that what their saying is the company line
