In fact, if you watched them work the Ground Bridge before, you'd know Optimus was lying the moment he said what it was. They've never used a key for it before, and if they did, why would Optimus take it out while they were on a mission? Easy: because he's lying.

I think you missed my point. It's not security measures because it's not the key to the Ground Bridge's power supply, it's the Key to Vector Sigma. My point is, if you apply a bit of logic, you could have figured out Optimus was lying the moment he told Jack what it was.

Take a good look at Optimus's face between seconds 18:50 ans 18:58 of ep 25. When he is telling Jack that it is the key to the ground bridge power suply he can't even look the human in the eye and his voice is hesitant, but everythig after that he is making straight eye contact and his voice is firm and sure. I guess it shouldn't be a big surprise but Ops can't lie worth beans...

Well of course they are. Alpha Trion is always doing something. Vector Prime is still having adventures throughout time and space, the Fallen just hops from one dimension to another every time he gets killed, and while we haven't seen much of Liege Maximo since the G2 comics, there's nor reason to assume they killed him since then.

And for the love of God, can Hasbro please name the remainder of the Original 13 something other than Prime? It's getting unimaginative.

Well, while I never disliked Transformers Prime, I have to say this was a satisfying finale and the show has definately grown on me. The only downside to using Unicron so early is that it makes any other villain hard to top off from here on as Unicron is pretty much THE biggest antagonist in the transformers multiverse.

But overall? Good stuff and with two more seasons I think this show could stand side by side with Animated and Beast Wars. It certainly is superior to Animated in terms of action.

But not in terms of story, characters, and development. Those first 11 episodes of Prime still cripple it.

This key is a complete mysery as to what its real purpose is, is anyone's guess ast to what its true purpose is.

But after re-watching that episode Optimus did indeed lie to Jack from his facial expresions to the way he paused he lied big time to Jack.

Why he did that unknown, why he gave Jack something so important also unknown.

But it was a big out right lie about that being the Key to the Ground Bridge when the Bridge has its own power supply.

Many questions remain what is this key, why did OP lie, and why did he give something so important to Jack.

I cant wait to see the other cons reaction when they see Orian is Decipticon now especially Airachnid.

Soundwave steals some thunder that was epic Soundwave in action finally beating down Airachnid while the others had promblems he made it look easy.

He maybe a silent mute but Soundwave dosent need to speak he lets his combat speak for him.

Also cool new twist in the upcoming new game Soundwave created the Dinobots but the questions is what makes them rebel against Soundwave.

He most likely lied because he didn't want Jack to know right away that he was giving Jack such a sacred item.

More likely he's just damaged. I'm guessing that this will be how he loses his voice in the games, whereas he's already lost it in a much different way in the books.

Soundwave rocked hard in this episode, I'm convinced that he's probably the 2nd most powerfull Con.

Awesome finale I definatley didnt see OP reverting into Pax at the end coming. Note to self: Don't f**k with Soundwave. He's been hinding his mad skillz behind his silence, it seems. This series is right behind Animated as my all time favorite. Can't wait for season 2.

Did anyone else notice that they made the music for the opening titles more epic? Nice touch for the season finale.

I loved the backstory scene for Optimus and Megatron and how the war began. The music is awesome and Ratchet as the perfect voice for narrating it.
Why would the key to Vector Sigma even be on Earth? Isn't is still on Cybertron? Obviously Optimus has a plan for it. Soundwave earned a ton of brownie points for me here. Can't wait to see what he'll be doing in Season 2.
When Optimus asked "Where are we, Megatronus?" my heart skipped a beat. I cannot believe that happened and now I can't die until season 2 comes out.

POSSIBLE SPOILERS AHEAD

Here's what I think is gonna happen: did anyone notice when Optimus looked back at Bumblebee just before going into the groundbridge at the end? The look on my face is making me think that he may be faking the memory loss to get on board the Decepticon's ship. Of course, this raises the question of why he would even want to go there. If he were going to kill Megatron, wouldn't he do it when they were alone after killing Unicron where there weren't any Decepticons to back him up?

That, or... somehow the Vector Sigma key will be able to restore it for him. He knew he would lose his memory once he sacrificed the matrix, and so gave it to Jack so that when the Autobots came to rescue him he could restore his memory. But still... why Jack?

Those are my theories. November 28th suddenly seems so far away.

The only thing I would switch is the point in fact that Starscream is and always will be second-in-command of the Decepticons; even in his absences.

The only reason Soundwave is before Starscream is because he hasn't been able to accumulate cool points in the last 6 episodes, where as that scene in episode 26 skyrocketed the quiet powerhouse's kickassometer.
