Well, the men Silas did have with him before Fowler distracted him were knocked out by Fowler. So yeah, the ones who showed up after Silas decked him either were the same guards recovered, or new guards who just entered the room. As for Silas getting out of the chair, two factors there. First, the MECH guards, as mentioned, had been knocked out, so Silas was on his own. He could either stay in the chair and get punched in the face, or defend himself. Two, Silas has always been a smug, cocky bastard, and he fell into the trap, hard this episode.

As for the episode itself, Wow.

When Jack put the key into Vector Sigma and then took out once it was charged up, he referred to the energy with the key as the Matrix. Optimus just had the shell of the physical part inside his chest.

As for the ending of the latest episode, it will truly be a unique scientific achievement if MECH is capable of implanting a Sylas's human mind into a transformer shell(Breakdowns body) as the ending is suggesting.

Yeah, the idea of being able to upload a human mind into a machine is not a new one. It was even the entire premise behind the Matrix trilogy.

What would be interesting to see, if it's explored, is how the Decepticons would react to MECH "bodyjacking" Breakdown's remains. Something tells me that, given Ratchet's statement in "Operation: Bumblebee," that the main 'cons (minus Airachnid) would be horrified... and probably PISSED.

I miss Breakdown, his death was well done but I wish we had gotten more episodes exploring his character, not to mention his rivalry with Bulkhead. Maybe he will still be him or partially himself after being combined with Silas.

:D I was very pleased with this episode. Lots of action and the the appearance of Nemesis prime. Outside of this one episode, I never liked him nor saw why he had such a large fanbase. (I guess he has a large fanbase cus of all the Optimus repaints into him.) Shocked to see what happened to Silas as Nemesis prime fell on him. Does this mean the army dismantled nemesis prime afterwards. And what's going to happen to the Autobots after being framed.

Well, interesting bit of news from the toy section. Takara has listed an voyager figure in the Prime Arms Micron line as "Autobot Swoop" Know that means nothing as Ironhide, Hot Shot, Kup, Rumble, Skywarp and Dead End all are getting figures without being on the show, for the line, but its something to consider at least.

I'm thinking Swoop will be another case like Skywarp was, being a redeco of an existing mold. Based on his airborne-sounding name, I'm thinking a redeco of either Voyager Starscream or Dreadwing.

Its likely, though if they are going to redeco either of those molds, why go with Swoop rather than Thundercracker/Skywarp or Skyquake.

So I watched the first episode of TF prime in japanese. Despite not understanding 99 percent of what was said, I gotta say, hearing "TRANSFORM!" every transformation was just refreshing. Brings back alot of memories.

The majority of the dialogue was roughly the same as (or a close approximation of) the English version dialogue.

Even though there was 0 plot progression, it was a pretty good episode. Fowler's really growing on me. But I was little disappointed at the lack of acknowledgement of Knock Out. Even Breakdown got screen time. Seeing him again just made me sad :(

finished watching it, while it was a flashback episode which aren't the greatest in general, it was good for a flashback episode, but i was hoping for more than just clips from previous episodes. Regardless, i still enjoyed it in a way

POS, wasted, episode. Can't wait until the next episode. Whenever that is. At least it was better than that "Speed Metal" or whatever that racing episode was. This episode bored me, but that one just pissed me off.

So now we are made aware of a couple things:
Why Fowler never wears a flight suit.
The name of Fowlers Jet.
Also, the clip at the end was hilarious, but it felt a bit rushed. I think they just added it in quick-like. They did'nt even have optimus speaking, his face plate was on the whole time.
This is the second time Unicron has been mistaken for a Unicorn, and they also fixed a minor detail that's been bothering me.
In the original airing of the episode were megatron shoots bumblebee and Raf gets exposed to dark energon, it shows his hand fall in the mirror, but totally on the wrong side! It should be opposite. It was mirrored in the flashback, but not in the original episode.
I am 67% sure of this BTW, correct me if I'm wrong here.

Everything non-plot pisses you off. Lighten up dude. You ever stop to think that, maybe filler episodes like this are needed so that the development crew gets to work more on later episodes to make them more epic? And, it's my guess that, in the next season, there will be another episode just like this. The animators need a break, or we wont get episodes weekly.
Unless all the episodes are already finished for the most part. but this episode still serves a simaler purpose. Less work here, more work there.

Episode 35

Fowler speaks Silas's real name, Leland Bishop, former Special Tactics Colonel. Fowler's superior also states that Silas was the architect of "Project Damocles", which involved orbital satellites that could fire laser beams upon any target on Earth, and which was the reason for his discharge from U.S. military.

I chuckled at the replaying of all the times Fowler's various aircraft had been scanned by Skyquake, Airachnid, and Dreadwing.

Okay, so far, this clip show isn't all that bad. There's a good amount of new footage placed around the old to create a new story for this episode. In other words, this both like and not like the clip shows of the RiD cartoon, in that, while they do use recycled footage, there's a new plot to the episode itself woven around the flashbacks. Only this time, it's done by all new footage instead of just using nothing but old footage.

Confirmed by Fowler! That is General Bryce who's questioning him. ;)

AAAAAAARRRRGGGHHH! WHY?!!!! Why did they HAVE to give an explanation for how Fowler is able to pilot a jet without a flight suit?! Why couldn't they just let him be hardcore?! Now that there's a scientific reason, it makes him much less hardcore than he was shown to be! :BOOM: :BOOM: :BOOM:

Okay, his, "I... like to be comfortable," response was kinda funny, but that still doesn't dismiss the reason given for his lack of hardcoreness.

The second ever Unicron/unicorn joke in TF history was made in this episode. :-B

Fowler also confirms that Airachnid is "as sadistic as they come," which no Blackarachnia of past series ever were.

So, wait a minute. Optimus was standing outside all along, and could have been summoned to make an appearance at the window all this time, which would have proven his status as being alive and not the same entity as the currently confiscated Nemesis Prime corpse, and instead only showed his presence by the episode's conclusion? Okay, this clip show has officially hit rock bottom. This was a complete waste of time. >:oP

Robert Forster voiced General Bryce.

Bet that has to do with you misguided belief that being "rude" is a greater sin than being "evil".

Well, I didnt catch that. I just heard him say it, but didnt want to rewind it and check to see exactly what it was he had really said. to caught up in the episode.

BTW, I find it odd that Dreadwing was focused on for a bit, but wheeljack wasn't even so much as mentioned. Same with Breakdown. No real mention to him aside M.E.C.H using him as a lab rat.

Well, they can only fit so much into one episode.

and with Wheeljack, I think it was wiser for Fowler to not mention him, as the government may not be too happy with a morally-questionable, undisciplined loose cannon Autobot warrior running freely about the planet on his own and unsupervised. Of all the Autobots, Wheeljack could most definitely be considered a threat to humanity that they would attempt to eliminate on site.
