IIRC, they said today at SDCC that season 2's coming back in the Fall.

I think we all assumed that anyway.
Some here were thinking August.

August was just a educated guess on my part. some shows take a 2 month break mid season, add that to mid summer vacations and I just kinda figured August sounded about right. but in the end it was just a guess.

They better come back this fall with something shocking, and not give us the cliffhanger and come back with "he's okay!" like they do with commercial breaks. It's safe to say I'm biased, itching for Bulkhead's demise.

Honestly, I do hope he survives. I like Bulk; it's his "partner" Miko I can't really stand. Though I do hope, if he has survived, they don't do as you describe; that's he's back on his feet by the first minute, or even by the end of the episode. I think there should be two or three episodes where he's recovering before he's back on the frontlines.

Live or die, though, it's the wait that's killing me. Oh well, I guess Rescue Bots will have to do. ;)

The TFP Facebook page is claiming that the Dinobots are officially in, tho the artwork only shows 3 of the 5. I'm surprised there's no talk about that here. Is it a ruse?

Talk is that they're officially in, but nobody knows when exactly, idea being not this season at all.

I saw that too. While I doubt it's a ruse, it was their main Facebook page, I didn't quite know what to make of it. Not sure about the other but I was waiting for Saberblade to weigh in.

You know, they can give him a break, allowing a new Autobot join, and have him come back on the last episode. That'd be fine, I just don't want to be smothered with Bulkhead. I swear, Bulk's had more episodes to himself than the moneymaker Bumblebee!

*sighs and places foot in mouth* No, no link to Facebook, just this http://www.seibertron.com/transformers/ ... ery/25318/ (fourth image down) and the ensuing speculation.
That should have been "..., IF it was their main Facebook page."
But still very interested in your opinion on it as you read the leaked hints well.

I checked the Facebook page. The exact words were:
BREAKING TRANSFORMERS PRIME NEWS : We've all waited for this moment......... the Dinobots are now OFFICIALLY part of Transformers Prime Universe !! "LIKE" If you're excited !!

It said that they're part of the "Prime Universe", in reference to the "Rage of he Dinobots" comic. While this comic is set post-FOC and leads up into season 3 of the cartoon, this is still not a confirmation of their being in the show.

Another post goes on to say the following:
While it is confirmed the Dinobots will enter the Transformers Prime Universe, it unfortunately is unclear when they will exactly join the TELEVISION series.

So, yeah, they're in the show's continuity, but not yet confirmed for the show itself. Though, the comic also ties in with the games and the novels too. :-B

Plus the designs are the FOC versions.

Now on a somewhat related note, I have just stopped reading Exodus, note that I did not finish the book I just stopped. I came as far as Megatron defeating Omega Supreme which was the point I could no longer bear the crapines of this book.

Seriously, when I read that this book was inconstant I would never have thought that it would be this bad. Especially after reading someone's post about how they are so minor you'll only notice them if you look for them - WRONG!
Really, really wrong, this book is awful and actually replaced AHM as my most hated TF fiction, seriously AHM is a masterpiece of good writing and pacing when compared to this.

It establishes something, then forgets about it and when it brings it up again it's completely different. For instance:

  • Omega Supreme is first mentioned as an active guardian of Crystal City and notices Soundwave at the beginning of the book. Then near the end of the book he's suddenly an ancient warrior of myth and nobody even knew he actually existed oh and he is huge (He's literally part of a building, it's foundation, and a giant space ship). Then while fighting Megatron he's barely larger than an average TF, gladiators being like 2/3 of his mass and Megatron taking him on in a one on one.
  • Sentinel Prime and Omega Supreme both pre-date the Autobots and Decepticons, with both coming into play way after the war had started but Sentinel Prime is then constantly referred to as an Autobot by the Cons, while Omega Supreme is referred to as an Autobot by the book itself and well, himself too.
  • Bruticus is first mentioned being destroyed, and is then lifted from a vault that keep him for millions of years two pages after being destroyed in battle, in a section that told the events "in chronological order just as they happen".
  • Megatron is written as an evil untrustworthy monster right from the start, although the intent was to have him slowly fall from grace and present it as being tragic.
  • Both Defensor and Devastator are introduced as being unique, and then later mentioned in plural form.
  • Constructicons are sometimes used as a synonym for combiners, and are also used to refer to the Combaticons a few times, Combaticons are also used to refer to the Devastator components once.
  • The Plasma energy chamber, just like Omega Supreme, can magically change size going from giant chamber thingy to something Megatron can hold in his hand.

And these are just a few things from the top of my head, there are even more and they are all noticeable on your first read through, and I used to think the inconsistencies stopped at Starscream, but freaking hell someone was actually paid to do write this? This cost me more than A Song of Ice and Fire?

Oh and it's the last TF novel I'll be buying or reading, waist of money and time.

From now on I'll only care for the TF Prime cartoon.

But Sentinel refutes their associating him with the Autobots, saying that he isn't one. They just call him one since they see him as their enemy.

As for Omega, who says he couldn't have taken a side when the factions sprung up?

Dead Metal wrote:Bruticus is first mentioned being destroyed, and is then lifted from a vault that keep him for millions of years two pages after being destroyed in battle, in a section that told the events "in chronological order just as they happen".
Now that is an error, yes. Speaking of a battle he fought in before speaking about his creation was a poor oversight by the editor.

Dead Metal wrote:Both Defensor and Devastator are introduced as being unique, and then later mentioned in plural form.
Devastator's based off of ROTF Devastator, as in, if there are enough Constructicons present, they could form more than one of him.

As for Defensor, where do they speak of there being more than one of him?

Dead Metal wrote:Constructicons are sometimes used as a synonym for combiners, and are also used to refer to the Combaticons a few times, Combaticons are also used to refer to the Devastator components once.
Another editor's mistake.

Dead Metal wrote:The Plasma energy chamber, just like Omega Supreme, can magically change size going from giant chamber thingy to something Megatron can hold in his hand.
It's always a small object that could be held in one's hand. It's a handheld chamber.

Dead Metal wrote:Oh and it's the last TF novel I'll be buying or reading, waist of money and time.
I find this amusing as I just recent finished reading the old Dreamwave G1-based Keepers Trilogy for the first time. 8-}

Yea I know he refuses it, but he's consistently referred as such by the Cons even after his death "You Autobots should learn that when you hide things in your body bad things happen."

Omega had no time to choose a side, he awakens (the books tells us that he's been sleeping since the Primes left Cybertron after their war) and immediately tells the Autobots "You Autobots should have called me earlier".

Then the book says "The great guardian joins his fellow Autobots in the fight". Making it sound like he's always been an Autobot.

Not just editor, but author in the first place.
Dead Metal wrote:Both Defensor and Devastator are introduced as being unique, and then later mentioned in plural form.
Devastator's based off of ROTF Devastator, as in, if there are enough Constructicons present, they could form more than one of him.

That's not the way he's introduced, he's introduced as an individual being created by a specific bunch.
As for Defensor, where do they speak of there being more than one of him?

When Dark Energon comes into play and the Autobots thinking of what to do next, it's compared to arguing about how many Minicons can dance the head of a Devensor.
Dead Metal wrote:Constructicons are sometimes used as a synonym for combiners, and are also used to refer to the Combaticons a few times, Combaticons are also used to refer to the Devastator components once.

And again a mistake by the author first. He does a lot of these.
Dead Metal wrote:The Plasma energy chamber, just like Omega Supreme, can magically change size going from giant chamber thingy to something Megatron can hold in his hand.

Sorry, but chamber implies something large, as in something you can enter.

To the Cons, anyone who isn't a Con is an Autobot.

Dead Metal wrote:Omega had no time to choose a side, he awakens (the books tells us that he's been sleeping since the Primes left Cybertron after their war) and immediately tells the Autobots "You Autobots should have called me earlier".

Then the book says "The great guardian joins his fellow Autobots in the fight". Making it sound like he's always been an Autobot.
Or, he simply chose his side right then and there during that fight, without saying so.

Dead Metal wrote:Not just editor, but author in the first place.
The editor still should have caught that.

Dead Metal wrote:That's not the way he's introduced, he's introduced as an individual being created by a specific bunch.
At first, they're talking about one Devastator. Then they (sluggishly, I'll admit) expound on there being more than one.

Dead Metal wrote:When Dark Energon comes into play and the Autobots thinking of what to do next, it's compared to arguing about how many Minicons can dance the head of a Devensor.
I think I remember something like that, but I think I recall taking that as a figurative meaning rather than a literal one.

Dead Metal wrote:Sorry, but chamber implies something large, as in something you can enter.
Well, like the Forge of Solus Prime, I get the feeling Irvine didn't know the meanings of certain terms and assumed the chamber was an object instead of a room, as the book consistently treats it like a handheld power generator of sorts.

I just rewatched Orion Pax Part 2, and I noticed that when Orion searches for Optimus, a picture of what resembles Ultra Magnus pops up. I believe someone has mentioned this before, but it just surprised the crap out of me:

Pretty sure the encryption replaced the real Optimus Prime with what Soundwave thought was a similar looking 'bot: Ultra Magnus.

Again, it just surprised me. It's probably already well know by now

It's supposed to be Optimus, the leader of the evil Autobots, as described by Megatron to Orion. Therefore, it's not supposed to look like the real Optimus at all. So really, it could be anything from a picture of Magnus that Soundwave threw in, just so there's a picture, or something he just drew in his spare time lol.

Don't forget that the Cons do indeed view the Autobots as being evil, as Megatron still regards Optimus as having betrayed him way back when they stood before the High Council and Optimus's words instead of Megatron's gained the Council's favor. Megatron saw this as an act of treachery by Orion, as though he had used Megatron to gain the power and title of "Prime", instead of being in support of Megatron like he believed Orion to be. Megatron declared war because he felt double-crossed by his good friend, whom he now viewed as a wicked, manipulative snake.

So?
It's still a fake pic of a fictionalised Optimus Prime, and since Optimus does not look like that it's nobody, the fact that it looks like Ultra Magnus makes this an easter egg.

Also Megatron doesn't view the Autobots as evil nor does he feel betrayed by Optimus, he was evil from the start. Exodus's intention might have been that he was good and felt betrayed, but he did nothing to make him seem trustworthy or good prior to that.
Bombings, murdering two agents, controlling the pits all over the planet (he complains that he and others must kill or die in them yet he never changes anything although he runs it all), spies on Orian, has plans of having him killed, looks down on him.

Seriously, if Optimus really believed Megatron to be just the slightest bit trustworthy he's an utter retard.

Quick question because I forgot and it's bothering me: Which side took the forge of Solus (sp?) Prime? Isn't that a pretty big deal also? With this hiatus I've already forgotten everything that's happened, but wasn't that episode a good while ago? Why has that weapon not been used?

Oh yes, I remember that now, and the scene with Megatron explaining how only a Prime can use it. Wonder if the Autobots will ever get their hands on it.
