All he did was get zapped. Maybe some burn marks would have worked, but considering how the episode was almost over, twould have been a waste of CGI resources for just a few seconds of screentime.

Wheeljack doesn't like Ultra Magnus because Ultra Magnus is a by-the-book stiff. Wheeljack likes doing things his own way, the Wreckers way, whereas Ultra Magnus was put in charge of the Wrecker to keep a tight leash on them in the past, which no doubt bothered Wheeljack and explains why Jackie dislikes being babysat by Magnus.

What does race have to do with anything?

If you are going to confuse a quote from Grimlock with anyone I would say Conan is a fine choice. Now I want to hear Gregg Berger say "To crush your enemies, see them driven before you, and to hear the lamentation of their women."

Remeber the photos of the ancient buildings that the sector 7 guy shows to Sam with the Cybertronian words on them, and the big sun harvester that the Pyramid was built around?

I know, but I don't care. I expect equal damage visibility from Megz and OP when they fight inflict it to each other.

I agree. But they just better not twist this into a flashback where Wheeljacks individuality is 'right' and Ultra Magnus' responsiblity is 'wrong'.

I know and it would be interesting (but un-necessary after the relic hunt last season) to have ancient artefacts from world myth resurface in the plot as a second round of human discovered Iacon relics used to take down the original Earthbound Predacons...

and race has to with only being able to survive within a certain border of extremes. Sub arctic conditions are one such racial limit for TFs and Humans alike. What a Predacon can and can't handle against modern Cybertronian weapons is what I want to know.

Yeah, it might be a little late to post this but:
Anyone saw the Wheeljack-lobbing-accident as a reference to the Animated?

In the TFA episode "Rise of the Constructicons" Bulkhead plays frisbee with the constructicons only to nearly kill Sari when one of them accidentally misses, which causes it to nearly decapitate her. In the recent episode (Project Predacon) Wheeljack attempts to play lobbing with Bulkhead, but the latter misses the shot, causing the ball to nearly crush Miko.

They not only changed established characters and their cgi mannequins needlessly-wasting LOTS of money that could be saved in the process and consequently diminishing the potential cast and core toy line- to suit their textbook plot sequencing, they also dragged out a story about stalemates into a long grind about stalemates that got episodes cut this season because Everyone else finally worked out that it could have been told cheaper and more succinctly. ...what?

>>>>>If you didn't get it when it happened in the show, you should look at it again. To me it was one of the best moments and messages in any TF show ever.
Smokescreens' double take on his self interpretation accidentally made him realize something about growing up and that rank is achieved internally first: Instead of feeling he was still being treated like a rookie, he realized he was far beyond the position of still acting like one.
This is as valuable a concept for me to see coming from a TF show as his original Function (Diversionary Tactician) when I was little. That shaped my outlook a lot then. This latest gem supports something I tell rookies I work with now, which I can't deny is influenced by my old Sscreen toy to begin with. Therefore, I am extremely proud to see it coming from Smokescreen who, as I have said many times, I am very disappointed to not be providing the example of 'most trusted, yet most devious of all Autobots' and 'Diversionary Tactica' to more TF fans since I consider the whole bag to be of massive developmental value to a young persons' mind and pack/gang/family role.

Exactly one character was changed: Optimus. Smokescreen and Bumblebee only had recoloring, and in the world of CGI that is hilariously easy to do. And despite "wasting LOTS of money," their cast still expanded, bringing in Ultra Magnus and Predaking, with more certainly on the way.

Now you're the one who doesn't get it. You really think the previous seasons were so long because that's what the writers wanted? It's because that's the number of episodes that was ordered!

You're right, but it's not because of my lack of comprehension, your sentence structuring makes no sense at all and terribly lacking in context.

Well, Miko was more badass than I had anticipated... other than that, meh. I also liked how Wheeljack air assassinated that one Decepticon.

Miko proved her chops back with that Hardshell incident.

I'm glad she's actually pulling her weight, but God, can we draw a line under this and keep the humans out of the firefights from now on?

All she did against Hardshell was press a button. Anyone could have done that.

Episode 58 -

Huh, no "Previously on" segment. i was expecting one since this takes place at the same time as the last one.

WAHOOO! Predaking bust free of his ice prison all by himself! YAAAAAAAAAAY!!!

Magnus called his fellow Autobots "Beast Hunters".

Well, there's something Vortexx is likely to remove (Jackie beheading a Vehicon).

HAMMER TIME!

So that's how Miko sneaks along this time.

Ha! Screamer's using the Apex Armor to boss Predaking around.

So much for that plan.

Okay, so Bulkhead says that the Wreckers weren't originally led by Ultra Magnus, which is when Bulkhead was a member. After Bulkhead transferred out to join up with Optimus in the Battle of Thunderhead Pass, Magnus took command of the Wreckers and Wheeljack eventually deserted because of their new leader. Can't they make up their mind already about if they do or don't want to stick to what the books have said? It's like every time they contradict the books, they eventually try to work back to reconcile with them, only swing the other way with another contradiction in the process.

Magnus gave Miko a mission that is helpful for the Autobots, makes Miko useful, puts her away from the danger, and one that she's genuinely willing to do. Kudos.

So that's what the armor's removal process looks like.

Uh oh, Screamer's found Miko.

Whoa! Predaking's having a memory flashback about another Pred. That bone he's found has got him feeling uneasy.

SUIT ON!

Good thing she's got the armor on. Predaking crushing her would have likely killed her otherwise.

And now he's chewing on her and flailing her around like a ragdoll.

And he's barbecuing her. Sheesh! That's some serious punishment.

So, even if Starscream and the Jet Vehicon Generals fail to defeat the Autobots in this one, Predaking still recovered the bone and flew away with it. Thus, that's still a win for the bad guys.

Starscream: "Tsk tsk tsk tsk, even the strongest armor can't protect the weakest of creatures. Aagh!"
Miko: "Protected you, didn't it?" - Oh SNAP!

OH SLAG SHE CAUGHT THE MISSILE! SHE IS MAAAAAD!

Starscream: "You do know that I vanquished Cliffjumper, don't you?" - Screamer, enough already!
Miko: "Big whoop... I snuff Hardshell!" - LIKE A BOSS!!!

And there he goes. Jackie must ride alone.

That was AWESOME! Miko earned her bonus points of epic in this one. Yeah yeah, "she only did it cuz she had the all powerful armor," BITE ME! She proved that, if you give her a weapon she can use and use well, she's more than capable of following through on making the most out of it that she can. This has been a long time coming for her, having wanted to have her moment to kick some serious butt since day one. And she royally delivered the hurt with no holds back. Give the armor to Jack and he might have hesitated at times. Miko's Gung Ho nature is just what was needed for the brute force of Wrecker Style. She was a BEAST in this one!
And what's more, the Cons still got away with the bone... unless Predaking didn't return to the Nemesis, since we last saw him flying away, and that flashback of his looks like it could have affected him. Maybe here is when he decides to strike out on his own? We'll have to wait and see. ;)

Also, Starscream was hilarious in this one!

Next week, looks like Arcee, Fowler, and June fight Knock Out and some Insecticons over the next bone.

I like how they subverted the "new toy effortlessly beats the **** out of everything so you run out and buy it" thing, with Miko's first action in the Apex Armor being getting stomped by Predaking. And then chewed and burned and all-around thrashed.

... But then they did do the "new toy effortlessly beats the **** out of everything so you run out and buy it" thing right after. *sigh*

Not when the Apex Armor has no toy.

No, the "Apex Hunter Armor" doesn't count. It looks nothing like the show's armor, has a different enough name, and a completely different function than the show's armor. The Apex Armor as seen on TV is not available to buy, so they just advertised a show-only product. :P

Wheeljack is a deserter, what scum. You don't run out on your brothers and sisters, especially for his weak ass reason. Oh no I don't agree with my co  hell he might as well be a con, I hope the frigging Predacon eats him.

One thing that really pisses me off about this show; what's with all the damn relic hunts!? It's like the writers of the show can't think of any reason to make a TF story other than having them running around the damn world looking for s***. Season 1 had them, Season 2 had them, and now the entirety of Season 3 revolves around a stupid relic hunt. Have the TFs fight for something a little more important than a few artifacts that will all just end up playing an advantage in the Autobot's favor.

I hope that very soon in Season 3, we see the stupid ass relic hunts end and the real war begin. WITH the predacons as well. After all, the show is called Transformers Prime. Not Transformers Relic Hunts. Well, Beast Hunters... but still.
