The Cartoons have budgets too, and generally a good business model is to spend little and make a lot more money then what you spent on making the product or service you sell, while still making a quality product or service.
But everything is still CG. Why not cut out all the pointless stuff and focus on Cybertron?
Because Hasbro is so insistent in putting humans in their series.
They need to quit. They're not making any toys of the humans, so why do they keep putting them in there?
That's what the video games and novels were for.TheBossII wrote:They should make a series that focuses on the civil war.
We at least know the Dinobots stayed behind.njb902 wrote:I doubt all of the Autobots have abandoned the planet either.
1. The "dead Cybertron" idea originally came from the IDW comics, which the movies also took from.SlyTF1 wrote:This is what I've always wanted. Because that's unmarketable to the target audience in this day and age. Beast Machines tried it and it proved unsuccessful both critically and commercially.SlyTF1 wrote:But everything is still CG. Why not cut out all the pointless stuff and focus on Cybertron?

Storytelling purposes. It's difficult to relate to a giant alien robot soldier.

Not for me. They're like the only characters in fiction I can relate to.

And if everyone was as psychologically damaged as you, then you might have a point.
To be honest, man, why are you even a fan of this franchise if you so badly want the bad guys to win? A big selling point of the Transformers is that good can, does, and always will triumph over evil. No matter how bad things get, the stories always come around with a sense of hope that goodness will reign in the end. The evil factions must lose, no matter how successful they may ever get before then. The only times they ever go the route of "the bad guy wins" are in special cases like alternate timelines/realities, events that eventually lead up to the good guys winning in the end, a dream/fantasy/false reality, a storyline that gets dropped midway through by the powers that be, or other such abnormal cases. And nearly all of these only come in the form of comic books, since those can get away with doing that kind of stuff more than cartoons or movies can since the cartoons/movies are the most mainstream forms of TF story media, and as such have stricter rules set by Hasbro as to what kind of stories they can tell. The only reason TF: Prime season 2 ended the way it did was because it was both a cliffhanger done for suspense, and was eventually undone by the events of season 3 giving a much-needed turn-around victory to the heroes. Hasbro will never intentionally let the villains win in the end because it would give their brand an otherwise negative image. This is a franchise whose stories promote and support positive, virtuous messages of hope, peace, love, kindness, friendship, camaraderie, loyalty, honor, and many more, and has thrived on for so long partly because of it.SlyTF1 wrote:Yeah, you're probably right...

To be honest the only think I don't like about hes death is to killing another Cons will Bot's team remain unharmed.PrymeStriker wrote:"Plus One" will be the return of Knock Out. His surprising lack of screen time this season's disappointing, but I'm sure that "Thirst" will clear that all up. That is, if he doesn't die during that episode.
Don't forget that in Bayformers universe we have few alternate endings, and in some Cons finally won. I belive despite this ednings are'nt follow next movies, thay should still be consider as a "real" one. So Megatron from Transformers the Game is the same guy, and there exist the version of Megatron witch won at the Mission City and aquire the Allspark. And in Armada Decepticons in the end are victors, because they defend Cybertron from Unicron. They share this triumph with Autobots, but still it is only series where Cons finally won.Sabrblade wrote:To be honest, man, why are you even a fan of this franchise if you so badly want the bad guys to win? They did win 2 episodes in a row ("Project Predacon" and "Chain of Command")

Yeah and.

Yeah and.
They won in:
Orion Pax Part 1- They got Orion Pax and escorted Arcee off ship
Operatiuon Bumblebee- Part 1 Knockout got the Shield Generator
Operation Bumblebee- Part 2 Megatron got The Forge of Solus Prime
Triage- Soundwave got the relic
Aplha Omega- Megatron got the Dark Star Saber and destroyed the Star Saber
Patch- they got Starcream and the 4 omega keys
Darkest Hour- Destoryed the Autobot base
Project Predacon- Shockwave and Soundwave got the Predacon bone
Chain of Command- They got Predaking back and Predaking retrieved the bone.
njb902 wrote:Yeah and. When in any of that did you think any Autobot was in real danger of going offline?
njb902 wrote:Have you ever really thought (besides Soundwave) that any con is a real threat?

After a while it just feels like the cons are pointless. Even as a kid I thought why would they fight, they never win.

I want the Decepticons to win the whole damn series.

Yeah, that's unlikely to happen. it's in my opinion a rule that every series has to end with the good guys winning. You can have a season end like that, given it's not the final season, but every show that I know has ended with good guys winning.
But I wouldn't mind if the 'Cons got all the bone-relics, meaning the Autobots would lose that fight, so they would have more Predacons to fight. It would make it more interesting.

Archanubis wrote:viruscarnage wrote:Triage- Soundwave got the relic
Also have to remember the 'bots basically let Soundwave have the relic, so they could plant that virus into Laserbeak. Wheeljack did say he would attempt to nab the relic from Soundwave, but his real goal in going up against Soundwave was to buy Ratchet enough time to plant the virus.

Then go read Shattered Glass.
