It redefines everything from now on, Sounwave is the best entity. Best episode by far.

Are you kidding? What's wrong with their new base getting destroyed? What's wrong with having the Decepticons be competent? Don't you remember how everyone was complaining about Darkmount getting destroyed and the Bots getting a new base so quickly back in episode 56? People were practically clamoring for the Cons to go blow up the new Autobot base right then and there just to get even. The fact that it's taken them six episodes to do so ought to be a gripe of all those who complained back then, so for it to get blown up next week will be a long time coming for those whiners.Autobot032 wrote:And while it's not a part of the the episode, the preview for next week's just sucked some of the life out of it for me. The Autobot base is destroyed AGAIN? AGAIN?! Twice in the same season?! Okay, technically it started at the end of 2, but carried over to 3, but still... I see some of the complaints people have now.
Season 1 sucked.Autobot032 wrote:The final episodes better be impressive and the movie better wow me. This season has been up and down but never really found an equilibrium. Season 1 was top notch.
The hunt help give it focus. Unlike season 1, season 2 actually had objectives and goals to carry out.Autobot032 wrote:Season 2 was for the most part impressive, but when it had it's moments, they were pretty terrible. (Relic Hunt, anyone?)
Season 3 has been pretty focused thus far, being split into three story arcs:Autobot032 wrote:3...I have no idea where they're going with it. I mean, I do, but each episode is just a mess. (Except for Thirst and Evolution.)
How... how was this one filler? It's obvious Part 1 of a four-part season finale. The fact that it cliffhangered the way it did makes it obvious that its plot is going to continue. And the next three episodes seem to be following its lead with next episode having Megatron appeal to Ratchet, the one after that having the Autobots go to save Ratchet, and then the last having the final showdown.Autobot032 wrote:Speaking of Thirst, much like this episode, it was a filler.
I'm confused. First you say this is a multipart episode, then you say it isn't?Henry921 wrote:Though that was definitely a highlight of the episode for me, there was so much more going on that deserves discussion. Namely that we're getting a nice multi-episode arc that isn't a McGuffin hunt. This is the first non-multipart cliffhanger we've had since Regeneration, and it's building nicely towards the finale.
Here you go.Aximalli_Prime wrote:Can someone please post a link to Minus One that works in the US? Apparently Hasbro is cracking down on copyright infringement, because the only upload on YouTube so far is blocked in the US. Thanks!

You gotta understand that filler is often tossed around as criticism, so people who don't like a show will basically use it to show how much they don't like the show while not understanding what the word means. Kinda like a young child that just parrots swear words it heard the older cooler kids use.

Especially when it doesn't apply. Things have been flowing together pretty well since Thirst, actually, with each episode taking off from the previous, as well as sharing plot points. Thirst and Minus One aren't filler episodes by any stretch of the imagination.

What about episode 11, "Speed Metal"?Dead Metal wrote:Can't really say that this show has had filler until now, well save for the clip show episode and even that kinda served as set up.
So far every episode is kinda important, ether by setting up for the next or well introducing something for a future episode.

Noideaforaname wrote:*sigh* They just HAD to take away the whole uniqueness of Prime Soundwave by straight-up copying "Soundwave superior" from the original movie, vocoder and all. Well, different bots inferior, but really the same darn thing. On the other hand, Prime Soundwave hasn't exactly been the most interesting character, doing little more than bad guy deus ex machina.

As awesome as hearing Welkerwave is, I agree with you, they sacrificed a new character that was well established for some fan service. If it was a crappy character that was sacrificed it's ok. But wasn't Soundwave always been able to speak since he's WFC Soundwave? Like it's official but he just doesn't like to speak?
Noideaforaname wrote:I wish we knew why Soundwave chose to be silent. Heck, I wish we knew anything about him as a character. A little mystery is a good thing, but it's like the writers are incapable of doing anything with Soundwave save "win the day in a badass way". Which is just boring now.
