Other users will probably be able to get more from your posts in this thread if you define your usage of "dark" - I think we may be on different wavelengths with that word.Deadput wrote:RevTibe wrote:Unless Prime and, at random, Game of Thrones are equivalent in tone, I'd say that there are definitely shades of dark.
Prime wasn't dark at all it never was I consider Animated to be more serious then Prime ever was.
Prime was dull, boring, took itself too serious and killed characters for no reason more then besides they could when they ran out of things to do with them.
There are no shades of dark and Game of Thrones is bloody and violent not dark except for a few times.

Yes. Now go to your room and don't play with yourself.
Fair enough, but that definition's pretty useless in a setting entirely dedicated to chatting about a longform children's toy commercialDeadput wrote:RevTibe wrote:Other users will probably be able to get more from your posts in this thread if you define your usage of "dark" - I think we may be on different wavelengths with that word.
I consider dark to be very deep and disturbing not just simply a serious tone or people dying all the time.
Cliffjumper's death was not dark neither was any of the throw away cons the Show killed off.

Language is flexible, and in this context, 'dark' is a fitting word for the grimmer tone of prime as compared to its descendant, and useful for speculating about a potential tonal shift.
On topic, while it seems like the show might be suggesting the new challenges Team Bee face are more serious, the handling of Megatronus's "Imma blow-up two planets" scheme suggests that the show won't let a logically more serious threat disrupt its lighthearted tone.

See, that definition would more accurately be known not as "dark" but as "gravitas". Having weight and depth and substantial quality in storytelling and character portrayal/development, that's totally gravitas. Animnated was light-hearted, comedic, and all-around quirky, but with how much effort and substance there was put into it, there was an enormous amount of gravitas to it.Deadput wrote:I consider dark to be very deep and disturbing not just simply a serious tone or people dying all the time.

He got the name because of the mobile app, that had a charactor called razorpaw, that hadnt been seen yet. And the 2 look quite alike. This means that the fake razorpaw now goes nameless. The good news however, is that with the introduction of the real razorpaw, we may get to see the other 2 charactors from the app - prowl and ironhide!! In general i am really excited for this!

By default I'd say RiD15 is closer to the ONLY show in its market for young boys. CN killed off all other action shows. And the few that do exist on other networks that I am aware of are not solely dependent on a toy line to maintain their existence (pretty much any action show on Disney transcends any toy brand connected to them (Star Wars, Marvel etc...)). Well... maybe Nickelodeons' TMNT show, but I've never seen it, so I really cant speak to how dependent on the toy line it is.

There was a trio of skunk Decepticons in one episode and they looked the same, but I can't remember their names. However, maybe it's the same thing with him.

I am not talking about all the Decepticons that have escape from the ship. I'm only referring to the Decepticons from Season 1. These include: Underbite, Fracture, Terrashock, Hammerstrike, Malador, Nightstrike, Vertebreak, Octopunch, Filch, Zizza, and Pseudo. Will these guys ever join Steeljaw's team to form a Decepticon army? Don't forget, in order for an army to be effective, every army must have a muscle, scientist, and a spy. These include Terrashock, Vertebreak, and Pseudo.
Personally, I'd prefer it if some of the captured 'cons stayed captured - would take away from S1 if literally every single one of them escaped. Just the core cast of villains and one or two stand-outs is enough.psj333 wrote:Lunatic_Prime wrote:I think ALL would be a bit too many.

Lunatic_Prime wrote:Me too. But I think there were more. What about Thunderhoof, Quillfire, the 3 Skunticons, Clampdown, Ped, Razorpaw and so on? And there are new ones coming like Scorponok, Groundpounder, Overload etc.
That would be too many if the Autobots are not becoming really overpowered.
Wait, you mean Strongarm's nightmare when she and the others were restrained/poisoned by Nightstrike, the bat Decepticon? What reason do we have to believe her dream has any more significance to it than Grimlock's nightmare about being chased up a tree by a kitten?psj333 wrote:I'm sure that Hasbro will introduce a second Shifter, besides Pseudo in the second season, which might explain the reason for framing Strongarm in the first place. Since Pseudo hasn't been introduced in the first season, there is no way that he could have framed Strongarm in the first place. There has to be a second Shifter that does that. Remember, Strongarm's nightmare might be real, whereas the rest of the Autobots' nightmares were all fake. But I do hope that both Shifters do show up in the second season. Otherwise the return of Pseudo should be enough to satisfy the fans.
