Hogan as a lead booker is a big red flag to me.
I think that while hogan is in tna the ink will slowly be drying on its death certificate.
Maybe hogans really working for vince and its all a way to run tna to the ground. Like a real "invasion".
Not likely.

I'm hopefully going to watch Dragon Gate USA's second PPV sometime today. It debuted on PPV on Friday, reviews I read of it said it was even better than the first.

Few things:
God I hope Jericho wins the title from Taker.
The more I see Dolph Ziggler the more I like him. I have been impressed with him since his debut match on Raw when he kicked the **** out of Batista.
Hart Dynasty and Cryme Tyme should be feuding over the tag titles since they're about the only two tag teams in the company and probably the best two tag teams the WWE has had in recent years, excluding Miz and Morrison.
they kill Noble on Raw and kill Yang on Smackdown. What do they have against the Jung Dragons?!
Drew McIntyre's accent sounds really fake and forced. But he's actually from Scotland, so I don't know why that is
Beth Phoenix would be better off in TNA, same with Natalya and Mickie James. They'd actually be able to face female wrestlers that can actually wrestle.
CM Punk is STILL more entertaining than the rest of the "main eventers"
Truth is still being underutilized. This guy has unending charisma and amazing talent in the ring...
WHAT'S UP?!

Nickolai wrote:I won't dispute the fact that Hogan = immediate ratings and interest. The counterbalance, though, (this is scuttlebutt, albeit from reputable wrestling sites) is that many of the locker room, AJ (soul of the company and its future) included, want their releases and out of dodge as soon as possible. Which Dixie did not acquiesce to, obviously. Disgruntled, unhappy workers forced to work with Hogan? That is tying iridium to your morale and to say that the future may not be good is like saying driving after nine Long Island iced teas is not such a good idea.
The only person that asked for their release was Kazarian. AJ and Daniels talked him out of it.
Impact was pretty good this week. Nice lead in for Turning Point. Pope, Morgan, and Hernandez vs Team 3D and Rhino should be great. Motor City Machine Guns vs British Invasion vs Beer Money for the tag titles should be awesome. The main event is bound to be one of the best matches of the year in wrestling.

Team 3D & Rhino vs Hernandez, Morgan, and Pope:
I think and I want Hernandez, Morgan, and Pope to win this one. I like Rhino as a heel, but I think the younger guys are going to take it.
Tara vs Kong in Six Sides of Steel:
I think Tara is going to take this one.
Beautiful People vs Sarita, ODB, and Taylor Wilde:
I think the Beautiful People are going to win
Homicide vs Amazing Red for the X Division title:
I think Red will retain, but this could be one of the best matches of the night if done right.
Motor City Machineguns vs Beer Money vs British Invasion for the TNA Tag Team Titles:
I thought the Guns were finally going to get the tag titles until Beer Money got thrown into the match. Beer Money is going to walk away with the gold, but I predict this to be a great match. Three of the better tag teams out there in the ring together is bound to bring awesome.
Scott Steiner vs Bobby Lashley:
I want Steiner, Lashley will win though.
Desmond Wolfe vs Kurt Angle:
The real winners are the fans. This match is sure to entertain. I really can't decide on who I want to win or who I think will win.
Samoa Joe vs AJ Styles vs Christopher Daniels:
I want Daniels to win, almost more than anything. Ever since I saw him in the early days of TNA I knew this guy had something special and he just wasn't getting what he deserved. I hope he gets a World Title run, but I think AJ will retain. That or the guy that keeps attacking AJ interferes and Joe picks up the victory from that.
Pretty good card lined up though. I'm really excited for it.

X-Division Match
Homicide vs. The Amazing Red©
Winner: Red retains his title.
This is a great X-Division title match.
4 out of 5
TNA Knockout and Tag Team Title Match
6 Woman Tag Team Match
The Beautiful People vs. ODB, Sarita, and Wilde ©
Winners: ODB, Taylor Wilde, and Sarita retain their titles.
Not bad but not great either, ODB, Wilde & Sarita retain and that is good thing considering that new TBP suck so bad.
2.5 out of 5
TNA World Tag Team Championship
The Motor City Machineguns vs. Beer Money, Inc. vs. The British Invasion ©
Winners: The British Invasion retain their titles.
Great tag team match but the ending with Eric Young and Kevin Nash stealing the TNA Global title belt was out of place.
3.5 out 5
Six Sides of Steel Cage
Tara vs. Awesome Kong
Winner: Tara
Brutal and phyiscal Knockout cage match with an awesome finish.
4 out of 5
6 Man Tag Team Match
"The War Machine" Rhino & Team 3D vs. "The Blue Print" Matt Morgan, "Super Mex" Hernandez, & "The Pope" D'Angelo Dinero
Winners: Rhino and Team 3D
A good, solid, and fun six man tag team match.
3 out of 5
No DQ Falls Count Anywhere Match
"Big Poppa Pump" Scott Steiner vs. "The Boss" Bobby Lashley
Winner: Scott Steiner
A brutal fight with a kind of a lackluster ending.
3 out of 5
Desmond Wolfe vs. Kurt Angle
Winner: Kurt Angle
The Real Winners: The fans
Two of the greatest mat wrestlers today show how good they are, and Wolfe shows he is a future main eventer.
5 out of 5
TNA World Heavyweight Championship
Samoa Joe vs. Daniels vs. AJ Styles ©
Winner: AJ Styles retains his title.
The Real Winners: The fans again!
Can you say a classic match?
IMHO Joe, Daniels, and Styles are the 3 best American wrestlers in any American promotion today and this match shows why all 3 NEEDS to be in the main event of TNA. If you think that they couldn't top the first match THINK AGAIN! Not only did they top Unbreakable 2005 they exceeded it. This one is actually better than the first one.
5 out of 5
Final overall thoughts: The Homicide/Red, Tara/Kong, Wolfe/Angle, and Joe/Daniels/Styles matches are worth the price of this PPV alone. The rest of the card is equally good (with the exception of the 6 Women Tag Team KO Titles Match which just OK). I give Turning Point 2009 a rare 5 out of 5. If you missed this PPV order the replay NOW!

The Pope vs Kurt Angle
Bobby Lashley vs Abyss
Desmond Wolfe vs Suicide
Homicide vs Robert Roode
Great sounding matches. I want Pope to win, but that probably won't happen

From my understanding the tournament on Impact this week breaks down that the winner gets a title shot in the division that they're currently competing in.
Meaning if either Abyss, Angle, Lashley win they would get World Heavyweight title.
If Roode wins then Beer Money gets another Tag Team title shot.
If Homicide, The Pope, Suicide win they would get an X-Division title shot.
I would guess that if Wolfe wins he would get a World Heavyweight title shot since he's feuding with Angle but he could also easily fit into the X-Division as well.
I think this tournament is better than the Feast or Fired match.

Yup.
I have never been a big fan of the Feast or Fired match or concept as long as TNA doesn't drag out opening the cases I can tolerate it. I wonder if a briefcase for a Global title shot for it will be included this time?

Hogan...Hogan...Hogan--O-M-G Anything other than a commentator the likes of Jerry Lawler would be a terrible mistake. All he's ever been is charisma; matches he comes out on top same thing occurs I'd watch Jericho or Taker or Sting.
Did Noble really leave for the reason stated or Raw or something else?
Making it official--DX is terrible. Oh, wait as memorabilia peddlers they're passable. The crap with Hornswaggle (sp) is a snooze--when are tey going to make the guy a member of their group?

Sheamus winning is a little ridiculous. He has done nothing to be in the main event except be Triple H's friend. Granted, I think almost anyone is a better champ then Cena(excluding Batista, everyone's better than that sack of ****), but its wayyyy to soon for Sheamus.
It almost looked like an accident that Sheamus won. Almost like when Edge won the IC title for the first time at that one house show from Jarrett.
Taker vs Batista was TERRIBLE. I think I dozed off a few times.

This week's RAW was decent. The Little People Court was better than I expected and Cena/Swagger was a phenominal match and that comes from a guy who can't stand Cena or Swagger.
TNA is my favorite show right now. I can't wait for January 4th when they can't edit out the Hogan sucks chants. But the show will still likely be better than RAW.

TNA Impact is on Thrusday Nights 9 PM EST. Spike no longer shows the Saturady encore.
It will NOT be on this week however because of the holidays.
Next week it will return with a 4 hour special episode (or 2 episodes back-to-back) followed by the Jan. 4th special live 3 hour show and on 7th will be an encore of that show.
By Jan 14th TNA Impact will be back on it's normal (and the above mentioned) time slot.

I would love to see Hogan vs. Foley that would be HUGE for TNA since they never had a match against each other before. Otherwise I'm with you.
