The Semper Tyrannis - A Moment Of Peace

The noose around Fortress Maximus' neck tightens. Will the Decepticon 2nd fleet led by mighty Scorponok finally subjugate their old nemesis? And if they do, what will be the fate of the Autobot resistance?

”Cyclonus. End that nonsense before rest of the Terrorcons get involved.”

Scorponok's words brought Cyclonus out of his momentary meditations on the future of the war, the future of Cybertron. He turned to the escalating brawl between the Monstercons and Cutthroat--which soon enough could be the entirety of both teams plus who knows how many others. Yes, the time for these particular festivities were at an end. Between the massive battle on LV-117 and this particular indulgence, Lord Scorponok had given his troops more than sufficient opportunity to satiate their battle lust. Their minds must once again turn to the work required in order to attain ultimate victory.

”I don’t need another unnecessary massacre at the doorstep of our final victory over the Autobots.”

"Of course, my lord," Cyclonus said, offering a respectful nod before crossing the expanse of the observation deck and arriving at the edges of the burgeoning melee.

"These revelries are at an end! Cyclonus ordered, summoning a full-throated baritone he rarely used unless it was in the heat of battle. He then forced himself through the outliers into the melee itself, specially targeting Cutthroat, who would never consciously stop fighting.

Stepping inbetween him and his next Monstercon target, Cyclonus grabbed a hold of the first stray limb to come within range and flung the psychopathic warrior in Hungrr's direction.

Carnivac looked very disappointed as Cyclonus put a very pointed end to the fight. "Well that sucks." He grumbled watching Cyclonus wade into the fight.

He took a step back, not that he was close enough to be in Cyclonus' way, but none the less, he wanted to be well out of the way.

"No winners, no losers, no payout on the bets. Sorry boys." He said as he looked briefly towards Apeface and Snapdragon and the rest of the assembled Decepticons.

--

Nightbird felt relived that the festivities had come to an official end. She hated mingling... Not that she had actually mingled but none the less, she was in a social setting and that was close enough to mingling for her. >>"Crow.."<< she sent out to the B&E specialist.

Crow drifted over to her wordlessly and she carefully slipped a few containers of high grade energon to him before he disappeared out of the Observation Deck. She stashed a few herself before noticably taking a container. Though she figured the likelihood that anyone would even care they were taking energon was next to none, Nightbird was a thief at spark.

--

As for Bludgeon.. the time for socializing... If you could call what Bludgeon does around others as socializing, was officially concluded and it was time to move on. He felt he had made acceptable progress thus far at reintegrating into the Decepticon army.

He allowed himself to stare out into the stars for a few moments. He had missed this... Being on a ship, being free, being amongst the stars and the beauty and vastness of the universe. He didn't feel small in the face of the universe, if anything, it made him feel bigger. He was Bludgeon, a warrior who conquered planets. Out there were more worlds he could bring to kneel before the Decepticon empire.

He turned from the windows to the doors and signalled Nightbird to follow him. Right now was not time to be contemplating the universe to conquer, it was time to get re-acclimated to the civilized world. Being held on Garrus 9 was anything but civilized.

He caught Nightbird's slightly irritated look at having to follow him. She had taken the briefest look back towards Bomb Burst. The relationship between Bomb Burst and Nightbird was making sense to him now. "He will be fine." He said to her. "He is a convenient excuse for you to not have to deal with others since no one wants to deal with him. Do not worry, I will not require you to interact with others any more than you want to."

He paused a moment from speaking but continued walking out of the Observation Deck.

"You job is to simply keep me from earning the ire of the high command."

The last dropkick that Wildfly had landed on that irritating Terrorcon turkey had been a satisfying one. Getting the last blow in before Cyclonus called things off, Wildfly took a few steps away and pulled down his wide wings. Time for some rest, repose.

He knew this wasn’t his fight. It was Slog’s, but Cutthroat was a slagger that needed to be put down like a rabid turbofox. And he’d have a hell of a time cackling at Cutthroat’s limbs being torn apart bit by bit. Mmm, the satisfaction.

Wildfly eyed Icepick and Slog with a look and a brief smirk, before looking to the rest of his comrades. He’s done.

"Eh, fun's over," Snapdragon grunted, finishing his drink.

He had seen it coming when Scorponok had made some kind of motion to Cyclonus and said something. It wasn't even a beat later when pointy-head stepped in the middle and effectively broke it all up.

"Back to the oil baths."

"Eh. It is what it is.” Apeface shrugged, chugging down another drink. It wasn’t like they were in a hurry despite the high ups putting end to the little scuffle between Cutthroat and the Monstercons. Scorponok wouldn’t have let them party if he had needed them clear and sober the moment they arrived on Nebulos.

”Yer not feelin’ greasy enough yet Snaps?” Apeface joked, elbowing his fellow Horrorcon jokingly after flicking his empty nightmare fuel container towards the general direction of Carnivac.

"Eh. It is what it is,” Apeface grumbled back.

"You sound mopey. We just got to blitz that mad scientist and his crazy repto-titan then we got to watch these idiots do the same to each other. Not a bad orn, all in all, heh," Snapdragon said as he headed for one of the exits.

”Yer not feelin’ greasy enough yet Snaps?”

"Eh, you know me. Too long outta the oilpits and my gears creak."

”Hey! I was expecting for a resolution to...” Apeface pointed his right arm towards the Monstercons and Cutthroat who was now firmly under the grasp of his fearsome leader Hun-Gurrr – who had immobilized the winged menace by pinning him down with his immense weight after Cyclonus had shoved Cutthroat at him. ”To… Well. That.”

”And you know. Not like that.” The simian Horrorcon replied to his friend, wincing under his masked face. ”But alas, can’t have everything, just ask Jhiaxus, eh?”

”Hey! I was expecting for a resolution to...To… Well. That,” Apeface said, defending his "mopeyness". Snapdragon chuckled, holding his arms out playfully.

"Heh, can't argue with ya. That match deserved a better finish," Snapdragon agreed.

”And you know. Not like that.”

"Yuh. Ah well, Scorps has to keep up appearances. At least now it seems like we'll get a taste of this... 'Earth'. I've been reading some of Swindle's logs. He says the oil on this planet is top notch."

”That goes without saying.” The simian Horrorcon agreed with Snapdragon’s comment regarding Scorponok before his friend’s next chosen words sent him practically rolling on the floor laughing,

”You are buying what the biggest con-artist Cybertron has ever known is selling?!” Apeface, now again in his gorilla form - chuckled, flashing a big, toothy smile, ”I’ll believe him when I see it. Taste it. And put it through a complete series of laboratory test, hehe.”
