Here is the full listing, using the logged wins taken from when I locked the score thread and with the links posted above added:
1.44 Symbiote Spiderman 14
1.21 Kaijubot
1.30 Absolute Zero
Can I just get some clarification, is this is a typo? I've been placed second but my listed score is too low for that. Also, my own checking says I should have a score of 1.51
In any case, well done everyone, and SS14 especially. And thank you, this has been the most fun I've had playing HMW in a while.

Actually I think it's more a case of "The Curse of a Tournament that Burn has helped organise and/or run".
History has dictated that I really shouldn't have a single damn thing to do with tournaments.

Probably should have learnt my lesson when I had to run a tournament via msn because I was banned.

I'm a bit confused though. I had more wins than losses and was only missing one loss recorded on my score sheet and yet I'm not over 1?

Because not everybody recorded all their losses I suppose. I had a manual score of 1.04 but my automatic score was only 0.75. Oh well.

That scores, btw is still counted with the (3*shutout+2*win+1*draw)/(total played matches by you) formula? I'm certain I've won more matches than lost, and that would put my score over 1.00

Look at the spreadsheet. 11 people where DQed for not counting losses or lack of participation, or rule violations. Aside from KYAC, wins and losses don't count against them. That's why your manual count is higher.

I appreciate the scoring was a trial run, but heres how I scored it:
Look at the scorecard tab on the spreadsheet.
As I went through your posts, I selected the horizontal line for the relevant player and marked a '2' for every win (including shutouts) against the defeated comamder, and then listed the total number of shutouts at the end, with the total number of looses.
Manually: The wins points were added up and divided by 2 (e.g. 8 pts = 4 battles), and all the recorded loses were added totalling the number of misisons. Then the total points ]was added to the number of shutouts (to add the 3rd point), then divded by the total number of recorded matches.
Everything input onto the sheet was added, including KYAC and those in yellow, who were only discounted from the final list for incorrect reporting.
Automatic: Losses were computed from the vertical collumns totalled and divided by 2, the rest is the same as the manual, and the total number of matches the computeed total added to the win totals divided by 2 as above.
Its possible I may have input some of the scores wrong but i was careful as I could be, and the equasions on the sheet are sound as I double checked them before I published it and deliberately kept them basic so they couldnt go wrong.
Ill revisit it when I get the chance and have a look, but as EP said, most ofthe problem is that not all the losses were reported, and I for example never got the chance to submit any wins so you all got points for the times I was beaten but not the extra losses from the battles I won.
If we were to run tis agin in futurem we'd only count wins and keep it automatic, and an unreported win is a loss to the winner and a bonus for the loser, which just makes players like Lighblade even more awesome for being so accurate.
Does that make a bit more sanse?

The only problem with soley basing it on wins is that it strongly favors those who are constantly playing the game and racking up the points. It leaves the more causal type of player at a disadvantage because they can't keep up with the points. They could have an awesome set up, play enough to meet the minimum standards for the tournament and have a better winning percentage than that of the winner. All becasue they can't play 12 hours a day like some can.
There is no real easy way to score it.

Anyway you slice it I do appreciate the effort put into to trying to give us a good send off.
I was just confused on the scoring. I wasn't going to win either way (way too many losses those first days) so was more curious how the scoring was laid out as it seemed off.
However you want to work it Psychout. You guys were running it, just let me know how you want us to keep track and I'll do it.

Ah, but in an ideal game where everyone reported all of their wins correctly, the win % still wouldnt be any higher as their total matches played would bring it down. Thats why I chose an average score system to begin with.
It certainly wasnt easy to score, but I enjoy the challenge of running stuff like this and all the other ideas ive had in the past, so I enjoyed myself as much as you guys did. (That, and I beat almost everyone I fought with the Cheerleader at least once.

Its just a shame it looks like we may not get a round 2.

Even though I personally couldn't reproduce the answer (but that's more on my end then anything. I know I'm missing something, just not sure what) it really is the most accurate and fair way to score it, the way Psychout did.
