I stopped following Transformers Closely when my kids started arrivng, so am literally just getting back into it.
Trying to go through this and make a list of which graphic novels are needed as it will be far easier to track them down compared to the individual issues.
My question is are all of these available in novel form (up to the latest novel release) or is there some ill have to track down as individual issues?
Not sure what you mean by novel - but as for collected trade paperbacks, everything up to volumes 8 of MTMTE/TF. The only things not included so far are the Punishment and Redemption one-shots. Hope that helps!

By novel i meant the Graphic novels (collections)
I did notice they have the idw Collections Vol 1-8 and then Idw Collection Phase 2 volume 1-3. Will this have everything in? (barring the one shots)
Heres an example of volume 1 if you didnt understand what i weas after.
Pot Bot wrote:I apolagise, i always call them graphic novels.
I do have some collections including
Megatron Origins
Infiltration
Escalation
Devastation
Drift
Spotlight Vol 2
maximum Dinobots
Last Stand of the Wreckers
RiD Vol 1 + 2
MTMTE Volume 1 + 2
and quite a few single issue spotlights.
I jut got a bit confused on the list at the 3 years later points as i couldnt seem to track down these in collections
50. Autobot File: Rotorstorm p. 130
51. Autobot File: Pyro p. 131
52. Autobot File: Guzzle p. 132
53. Autobot File: Ironfist p. 133
54. Autobot File: Impactor p. 134
55. Decepticon File: Snare p. 135
56. Decepticon File: Overlord p. 136
57. Squadron X p. 161
58. BULLETS/OUT OF BULLETS
didnt even look for the ones that followed
The 2012 one, that is, as there was a 2010 one that didn't have as many extras as the 2012 one.Dr Va'al wrote:I jut got a bit confused on the list at the 3 years later points as i couldnt seem to track down these in collections

Those can all be found in the Last Stand of the Wreckers collected hardcover!

It's the really cool one.
ScottyP wrote:Now that they're both wrapped up, I vote to move Dying of the Light to before All Hail Optimus. Maybe before TF 48 or 49 as well? Big maybe on the latter, would have to dog for details I don't have time to dig for right now.
Super late reply but yes, something like that. And it's probably in the right spot now, I'm not sure what I was thinking earlier with TF issues from the earlier arc.Dr Va'al wrote:ScottyP wrote:Now that they're both wrapped up, I vote to move Dying of the Light to before All Hail Optimus. If you're referring to the 'six hours/three weeks' thing, I may see what you're saying. Is that what you mean?
If the message sent to everyone in Transformerspace is indeed from three weeks prior to them receiving it, then yes, DOTL does take place before AHO. Hm.
ScottyP wrote:So, IDW's Revolution checklist seems to be just that and not really a reading order. Due to that, I made an attempt at a Revolution chronology in the FAQ, but figured I would post it here if we wanted to attempt to beat it up together. The top part of the list isn't really essential by any means, but just in case this gets seen by someone unaware, maybe it'll be helpful.
Background Research - All books included here based on nothing but my own opinions.
- Spotlight: Shockwave
- Transformers: Infiltration
- Maximum Dinobots
- The Transformers #29 (based on its inclusion in IDW's Road to Revolution special)
- Combiner Hunters one-shot (based on its inclusion in IDW's Road to Revolution special)
- G.I. Joe (2014/5) #0 and #1 (based on their inclusion in IDW's Road to Revolution special, but very optional as these were not conceived as part of this universe at that time.)
- Sins of the Wreckers (this series' inclusion is speculative only, as it occurs on Earth. Well, that and Impactor's line of speech on the second to last page...)
- The Transformers Volumes 8 and 9 (Issues 42-49)
The Road to Revolution
- More Than Meets The Eye #7, #8, #45, and #46 (These are the "Scavengers" issues.)
- More Than Meets The Eye #50 - #55, "Dying of the Light". Purely optional, as best as anyone knows right now, but it is exceptionally good work and provides context on where certain conspicuously absent characters are during Revolution.
- The Transformers #50 - #55, "All Hail Optimus". Chronologically occurs six months before Revolution
- Till All Are One 1-4 (can be read any time before Revolution, has so far had very little to do with it - that we know of.)
- Micronauts 1-6 (can be read any time before Revolution)
- Action Man 1-4 (can be read any time before Revolution)
- ROM 1-4 (can be read any time before Revolution, ROM 4 is unpublished as of this writing)
- Unknown placement relative to Revolution, aside from "Sometime beforehand":Titans Return event, consisting of these five comics:
- Titans Return
- The Transformers #56
- The Transformers #57
- More Than Meets The Eye #56
- More Than Meets The Eye #57
- Revolution Prelude - initially left this out, but it's printed at the end of many of the books above, so you wouldn't have missed it anyhow.
Revolution
- M.A.S.K. Revolution #1
- ROM Revolution #1
- Revolution #1
- Revolution #2
- Micronauts: Revolution
- Till All Are One: Revolution #1 (Release date: November 2, 2016) (Editor's Note: the opening pages occur before Revolution #1, but the bulk of this issue fits here chronologically.)
- Revolution #3
- Action Man: Revolution #1
- Transformers: Revolution #1
- G.I. Joe: Revolution #1 (OctoberNovember 2016 release)
- Revolution #4 (Release date: November 2, 2016)
- More Than Meets The Eye: Revolution #1 (November 2016 release)
- Revolution #5 (November 2016 release)
I haven't forgotten, but I do need to look up a couple of things. I might have a couple books out of place. Pulling them out tonight to settle in and re-read this event, even though I'm not super-pumped too ><Nik Hero wrote:I'd love to read your insight on why you put them in this order, when you have time.

Scotty P's Suggested Revolution Reading Order (Spoiler Free version!)
- M.A.S.K. Revolution
- ROM Revolution
- Revolution #1
- Revolution #2
- Micronauts: Revolution
- Till All Are One: Revolution(Editor's Note: the opening pages occur before Revolution #1, but the bulk of this issue fits here chronologically.)

Scotty P's Suggested Revolution Reading Order (Spoiler version!)
[*]M.A.S.K. Revolution - takes place roughly one year before #1, plus gives time to digest a plethora of new characters that all appear throughout several books of the event.
[*]ROM Revolution - occurs immediately before #1
[*]Revolution #1 - I mean, it's #1, it's going to be early on the list.
[*]Revolution #2 - Occurs so immediately after #1 you won't notice it's a new issue in the trade.
[*]Micronauts: Revolution - Mostly stands alone so it could be read earlier, but is a good lead-in thematically to...
[*]Till All Are One: Revolution - Sure, the opening pages occur before Revolution #1, but the bulk of this issue fits here chronologically, and it has material that ties in with the Micronauts book.
[*]Revolution #3 - Gotta have ROM in the Autobot base, which is first seen in TAAO Rev.
[*]G.I. Joe: Revolution - The only space for anything else to breathe in a way that makes chronological sense is here. Of this and the two issues I have that follow, this comes first based on not only contextual clues but actual reference panels in TF: Rev and Action Man: Rev.
[*]Transformers: Revolution - See above - calls back to GI Joe Rev, and is called back to by...
[*]Action Man: Revolution - Kup is captured in 3, so this has to come after, but before the climax.
[*]Revolution #4 - Climax begins, characters start to come together.
[*]Revolution #5 - Occurs immediately after 4, similar to how 1 and 2 run together neatly.
[*]More Than Meets The Eye: Revolution - A nice breather, good fun, and I guess a palette cleanser. Yes, this issue is a nice sorbetReally though, it can be read anytime for any reason as it barely touches the Revolution event, and even then it is indirect.
Hope that helps! I can already say that Revolutionaries #1 will go before ROM 5, if you end up keeping up with the Space Knight. ROM 1-4 can go directly before ROM Rev.
Micronauts 1-6 can go anywhere before the event. 7 and 8 are hard to place other than "after Rev 5", for now. MASK 1 is also hard to place right now.
Action Man 1-4 are others that can be read anytime before Rev 1, but it does occur before.

If i wanted to start with Combiner Wars what would be a good jumping on point for Graphic Novels?
I have found the Combiner Wars one but not sure what comes afterwards and directly before hand.
Thanks in advance
