Me, Grimlock! wrote:I only saw the first episode, so I have yet to see the second. I'm glad they're sticking closely to the comics, but I hope they diverge a little more in the future episodes. And I'm also glad m'man Glenn was one of the characters chosen to be in it, in a cast of at least 40 characters from the comics!
Now if they'd only fit Michonne in soon.

They did speculate that the blade may have been too weak for cutting metal.

About the latest episode, "TS-19": so the group's arrival at the CDC was a red herring at best, or just a worthless plot point at worst. I really thought that Jenner would tell the group that he needed tissue samples from a human that was recently turned zombie, and they would go back for Jim, the guy that was bitten and left behind at his own request.
This would made for a great episode- they would have had to deal with seeing one of their own as a walker, one they had only just left to "die", esp. shocking for Andrea. But they just blew up the CDC and that one lady, and moved on. I'm not sure what this episode accomplished, maybe I need to watch it again.
I'm concerned that this show is going to suffer from what happened to Lost- a great premise, strong out of the gate, but eventually mired in dead-end subplots and issues left unresolved. Still a great show now, though, looking forward to more.

Not to say that Walking Dead isn't awesome though.
