I'll be damned. I never noticed this. I jut tried it on my Thundercracker, and it allowed me to notice that he's got a number of stress marks.

Whole-heartedly disagree, Optimus himself has one of the most unstable super modes in his own right, Magnus is a disproportionate mess that can't even hold his own weapon up, and the combined form is so top heavy that posing him any way other than strait up is a death sentence.

The designers must have loved that transformation scheme, as it's shared by Energon Starscream (again, not a retool) and, to a lesser extent, G1 Snipe aka G2 Afterburner.
