[quote="Madeus Prime"][quote="Optimum Supreme"]To be fair, I didn't like the mold as Megatron either.
If I had Metroplex, I'd partswap Megs and Warpath to make Slammer.
How would you do that? Or would some painting also be involved? Otherwise, I am confused how you'd get a white tank from parts of a red tank and parts of a grey tank.
Kind of too bad that they didn't make a white repaint of that toy and throw it in with Metroplex from the start.
Ah well... He may not have a robot mode, or have any articulation in his turret, and he may not be an official toy... but I do love my third party Slammer.

(Re: the lack of a robot mode, that never bothered me anyway, since Slammer isn't supposed to have a robot mode!)

I think I saw somebody swap the chest and head to give themselves a cheap'n'easy option as slammer.

Ultimate Bumblebee passes the drop test. He fell from 2 1/2 feet, and smashed onto concrete, head first. Zero damage taken. I cannot even find a scratch.

Re: Things your Transformers can do that you never realised
Instructions or not, I realized this weekend that my Classics Ironhide has been mistransformed ever since I got him, check out the pic below and notice the tires under his arms. I could never figure out why he had a weird gap between his chest and his waist, but its because there wasn't supposed to be a gap.

He's been corrected, so it looks like I need to get some updated photos taken of him.

You also need to pull down the bumper to flip up the proper chest plate under the window.

Yes, that was part of my realization. Funny how those simple mods really increase my appreciation of the figure. The vehicle mode is still not good in my opnion, but I rather like the robot mode now.

I don't have any pictures right now, but Generations Arcee can sorta have shoulder guns. Her guns have pegs at the back, and her backpack kibble has a pair of holes. Neither seems to have any other purpose.

I checked the galleries on here and realized that Mixmaster's arms were up where they are in vehicle mode on Devy in all the pictures. Those are actually meant to go down as the instructions say for they allow you to access the GLORIOUS ANKLE TILT OF POSEABLITY!

It's nice that the chest wings on CW Devastator can be stored on Scrapper,Scavenger & Longhaul.
Not so much a functional realisation as an example of me being silly...

Yeah, like that.
But since I have a picture now, I may as well post it to show what it looks like with Generations Arcee rather than Legends.

Well, technically titan class Metroplex is more modeled against his FOC incarnation then his G1 incarnation, so, technically, yeah.

Re: Things your Transformers can do that you never realised
I never realized until today that Energron Galvatron could store his sword inside the cockpit section. This is in the instructions I'm sure, and on the tfwiki. Further reading on the tfwiki revealed to me that the tank could be inserted into the slot his back and pull the sword out. That is awesome
.
In my defense I got mine at a Flea Market a couple years ago second hand(sans sword) for a price that was well below what he's worth, and the sword was acquired later(an Energon Megatron sword granted, but it's just a minor color variation).

I just now accidentally found out that the engines on CW Legends Powerglide and Viper can slide forward, towards their feet. I think it's supposed to be an extra step to make them seem like more convincing weapons in gun mode, and I suppose it does to some small degree. The movement stops like the engine pieces are on a track of some kind, as at first I thought I'd broken them.
Honestly, the discovery was far more impressive than what it brings to their gun modes.

Yes, that's in the instructions for gun mode. Well, it is on Powerglide anyway, I don't have Viper but I assume the instructions are the same.

Speaking of swords and cockpits, AND speaking of Windblade, I didn't know that Windblade had slots on her cockpit that her scabbard could peg into until I was looking at somebody's picture of her today and trying to figure out how they put her sword on her back.
