OK, so many of you may have seen all the scans that we taken before being taken down so we know MANY MASSIVE twists and plot points of the movie. What are your opinions now? Is this movie looking better or worse than you first thought?

For those who don't know, here's a run down of the spoilers we know so far thanks to the leaked scans, of course there may be some inaccuracies here and there and the final movie may not be exactly the same:

MASSIVE SPOILERS GUYS! DO NOT READ IF YOU DON'T WANT TO BE SPOILED!

Sentinel Prime was the mentor of Optimus and Megatron when he was a good guy. He found "a way to save Cybertron and bring peace" before crash landing and was considered dead.
Humans find the crashed ark and a status-locked Sentinel during the moon landing.

It's a long time from ROTF, Sam is living with Carly, Brains and Wheelie and searching for a job
Wheeljack and Mirage are now on the Autobot team, Mirage has a "gangsta" personality
Sam and Carly and the little stooges are attacked by Laserbeak and go to NEST for safety


Sentinel Prime is awakened (possibly by Megatron?)
Sentinel Prime's "way of peace" is by taking Earth's natural resources
Autobots object and Ironhide and the twins are killed by Prime
Sentinel Prime decides the other Autobots are renegade and declares to Earth that if they do not forfeit the natural resources, he will awaken the Autobot troops he has on the moon and attack Earth
Sentinel Prime and his Autobots side with Megatron and the invasion begins

Carly is kidnapped by Soundwave (Mercedes) and Laserbeak
A new character known as Dylan is working with the Decepticons

All the Autobots bar Optimus and Bumblebee are captured by Soundwave (and possibly the Wreckers)
Soundwave kills Mirage

Sam saves Carly by ramming the ship we saw them on (driven by Bumblebee) into a building and shooting Laserbeak

Shockwave attacks Optimus Prime on "the Driller"
Shockwave destroys Prime's trailer

Megatron is convinced by Carly that he is being manipulated by Sentinel Prime
Megatron and Optimus Prime team up and kill Sentinel

The Autobots and Decepticons join forces and search for a new way to save Cybertron, together (truly)
Megatron says that Optimus is again his "brother"

Also these things happen at some point throughout the film, but when and how is not really known:

Starscream is decapitated but still alive (think Animated) and is carried around by Megatron on a chain
Soundwave is killed
Cybertron is teleported to Earth's orbit via space gates located all throughout Earth (think G1) so that Sentinel can easily take Earth's resources
Sentinel and Dylan plan to enslave the human race for Cybertron

So what do you think? Pretty massive, eh? I hope I didn't miss anything...
Sentinel is the major villain! This I absolutely love, its a great twist. Although the idea that the pre-Optimus Autobots were corrupt is not a new thing, I think ti gives the movie far more depth then the other two.
Shockwave seems to just have a minor role, which makes the whole "major villain" thing be potentially just used to steer our attention away from Sentinel. Apparently his death via Optimus isn't very nice and people aren't happy about how it was handled, but the scan of the scene was taken down before I could see it.
Soundwave is a general badass, which is awesome. The whole "uses Autobots' heads as trophies is kind of random, but totally badass. Ripping off Mirages head in front of his team-mates? Bad ass.
Megatron becomes good, people had already speculated it, but it is rather strange for it to be true. I suppose they needed a way for the war to end and the Autobots completely defeating the massive Decepticon/corrupt Autobot forces was too big an ask.
Starscream goes full-on Animated! My FAVOURITE part! I can't believe they did it, but I absolutely love the idea.

Anyway, I wanted to have a place to discuss all this exciting news that we've been getting. Personally, I am LOVING it, this movie is looking FAR better then I imagined. I can honestly say that I am VERY, VERY excited!

I don't think Sentinel will be all bad. I think he maybe manipulated by Megatron into helping him destroy the earth, but I think that in the end he will change his alliance to Optimus.

We have scans of Megatron and Optimus killing him though.
Also, its clear that Sentinel manipulated Megatron from Megatron's monologue rather than the other way around.

Ah, so Megatron helps Optimus. Before these spoilers were unveiled I knew there would be a team up of some sorts between them.

Megatron becoming good? Noooo.... And a human working with the Decepticons? That's totally my idea! (umm... Well technically there were a few like Dr. Arckevil, in the cartoon, but... {rambles}, but I always said they should have a human working with the Decepticons, they stole my idea! Its like they read my mind! Why do movies always do that?! OK I'll quit...)

I can't help but say that I'm excited for the movie too. Happy to share in your excitement.

I agree. It's a real shame they released all this before the movie came out. It's such a great twist, I'm still in shock as we speak. Who knew?

Wait, wasn't SHOCKWAVE confirmed the movies Major baddie? 'Cause all that makes Sentinel seem that role.

I haven't read any of the responses to this thread, so if has been said already my apoligies.

But for the life of me, i don't understand why some would want practicly all of the movie ruined for you before you saw it. If you don't plan on wahtching the movie before hand then i can understand, but the way some people have been digging, its there will be no point in giving watching it.

For me it's not completely ruined. We still don't know what the Cons are after and stuff.

He's still the main baddie in my opinion. Sentinel is an in between.

Because either way, you're going to find out what happens, whether you read it here or see it in the movie. Either way doesn't make a difference to me.

Because Transformers isn't Battlestar Galactica and being spoiled isn't the worst thing to ever happen.

While I do sort of regret it because the twists are all good, this has hyped me for more for the movie then anything else, because now it actually looks like it will be really, really good. I'll still watch the movie, of course, spoils can never quite get everything right and you watch good movies more than once anyway, don't you?

One thing I am a bit ehish on isSentinel Prime killing the twins. I mean, I really didn't like them, I thought ROTF would have massively improved without them, but killing them off along with Ironhide seems kind of brutal, comic relief characters usually aren't the ones to be blown apart by a "good guy".

Yes, but then again the twins were confirmed absent from the movieand the mercedes was confirmed as Carly's car and not a Transformer. I think Shockwave was used to cover up the fact that Sentinel Prime was the final boss character. Possibly the first half of the movie will revolve around Shockwave like how in ROTF it focused on Megatron until The Fallen rose up where Megatron became little more than a minion character.

So if this is true, then the plot will be much like DW's G1 volume 2 comic series from about 6 years ago. Magnus and Shockwave teamed up to bring both Prime and Megatron back to Cybertron as prisoners, along with their troops. Except here Sentinel takes Magnus's place.

Also, again if this is true, there will be 2 things I will cheer about: Sentinel will die, and Megatron will be a main guy. I was afraid he was going to get sidelined.

As for stuff being ruined, I haven't seen the scans or read the prequel comics, but I will buy the book adaptation of the movie by Peter David, and will have it read way before the movie comes out, and even though it'll probably be slightly different than the movie itself, I will know the general story anyway. And I will see it in theaters, probably repeatedly, if for nothing else then for the effects.

A few of these things are already hinted at in the comics, and a few I'd heard about a while ago. *Ironhiiiiiiiiide* /wail

And everything I hear just makes me think that there is not a LICK of creativity or originality in the franchise any more.

It's very post-modern to take all the franchises, stuff 'em in a blender and vomit them out, but...yeah. I'd rather have a new story that treats characters I care about with some respect.

I hate it honestly. And it seems like there is way too much going on for a 2 hr movie.

This is true. I'd heard originally he got shot in the face by Sam, in some humiliating and probably Freudian way, but...Starscream!head is just...it's been done. It was played for comedy in TFA, but I'm not sure how it will fit here.

I'm not sure, but a few people mentioned seeing the scans of it happening. Unfortunately most scans have been taken down though and I never saw that particular one.
