Likes: Bayverse, Marvel UK G1, Geoff Senior art, '86 movie (more for style/soundtrack rather than Star Wars plot)
Dislikes: Bumblebee movie (lousy rehashed dumb crud), TFA, G1 cartoon, IDW G1, BW/BM, MP. The entire concept of Autobot Megatron

I'm sorry but this has to be the most ridiculous statement of all Seibertron history.

Hope so. That was the price of the last 2 titans, and considering how bulky this guy is, in order to be tall he would have a lot of plastic.
I hope they don't raise the titan class price again though.

Or don't make him too hollow.

Now seeing as Trypticon is kind of slouching and not walking upright, the big lizard would more or less be around 19 inches in height. Not standing eye to eye to Fortmax/Metroplex who is around 24 inches tall.

1) My much loved one was bought at some Yard sale for next to nothing - he was such a bargain I can't help love him like a teddy bear.
2) I didn't own one until the junker for a long time (sort of like I only got Blaster in 2016) so that made me kinda fond of him for the lack until a couple of years ago. (I must remember to buy the reissue sometime)
3) He works with small Transformers in his city/base & battle station mode so he's a nice centrepiece item.
4) He looks Like Godzilla
5) He had some fun appearances on the show and in the comics (especially head butting a door down in the UK comic).
6) The Soundwave vs the Borg fanfic (and what he does in that)

I notice his Sino-blaster hatch cover is really thick - it looks like it might open and actually be a cockpit for the titanmaster to sit or stand in perhaps too.

He is a shell that folds out o reveal a base so he will be plenty hollow inside. So not as much plastic as you think.

Oh I totally agree. And yeah, there is no way of knowing exactly how those extinct animals looked like.
Imagine if the beluga was extinct and all we had to go on was the skeleton?

he's an incredible update to the original and i cant wait to see what he looks like at the toy fair come the weekend.
i notice alot are saying the titan gimick is gonna be with full tilt. and TBH that makes sense and he does look like a deluxe class fig.
but- and im just spit balling here- whats the odds Trypticons head transforms into something too?
maybe brunt or something.
christ knows the head did fuk all in base and city mode in the G1 Version except stick out like a sore thumb if you looked at it from the right angle so with this being a new mold and all maybe the designers might want to do something about that.
i mean we know from the vid a few pages back that the transform on the legs is different (if only slightly) and if he DOESNT walk (which im hoping cause i hate all that electronics stuff) then theres TONS of space to do stuff with this guy on the design front for the new city and battle station modes.
i can see LOTS of flip out chambers and doors/ bays on that tail section alone and that section at the neck looks MADE for a connection for a detachable head.
just sayin like.
anyway guess well see come the weekend. but gods im stoked on this one !

True. And there's no reason to expect that the alien robots who designed Trypticon would know what a living breathing T-Rex looked like, anyway. Even if they did, the engineers would have realized that, given his immense size, he would need a really stable base and wouldn't be able to run on two legs like a chicken, and may have adapted the "Godzilla pose" simply for practical reasons.

Also this just brings to mind, I know we are looking forward to the reveals at ToyFair this weekend, but I miss Transformers coming with catalogues or booklets advertising other toys in the same line.
