I'm reacting strongly just because I'm a little disappointed that's all. To be sure Trypticon is a very nicely engineered toy, its just that you would think Hasbro would want some fan buy in when to comes to scale... and likely next years Scorponok will be a heavy retool of Trypticon. So my thoughts of having 4 city-sized titans to scale is just down the drain that's all.
Same with CW Devastator. He is a great toy, to be sure, but what I wouldn't give for one that is actually smaller, scaled to the other CW combiners.

Well I am Australian. It's kinda what we're known for.

There's just no winning this...the world , it's so confusing...

i see it.
just spread out his legs and move his tail to the top and move his head up.
their basemodes are very similar.
maybe redesign the tail to have it split and become legs
DeathReviews wrote:I admit I kind of wanted Trypticon to be 'as tall' as Metroplex, just so the Decepticons could say they had a Titan just as big. But if that isn't happening, then I'd certainly settle for him having more overall MASS than Metroplex. If he's heavier and bulkier, than that'll be fine. Metroplex is kind of skinny, and there are some aspects of him as a Transformer that I find were lazily implemented, such as his arms not really 'changing' at all (not even hiding the hands), they didn't do anything to hide the head, and you pretty much just sit him down on his butt to turn him into a 'city'.
Trypticon's transformation looks a little more involved (a little, I say), if not too far removed from his G1 roots.
TF vs. GI Joe? Maybe?william-james88 wrote:when was the last time we saw Trypticon in IDW?

Bumblebee21 wrote:Kurona wrote:He's not that much smaller than Metroplex; and his being shorter is simply to be expected given Trypticon is very bulky compared to how... it feels weird to say this about a Titan; but how spindly Metroplex is. Seriously look at that waist, he needs some malnutrition.
Meanwhile his rival's a big fat lumberer of a dino; he's got a huge amount of mass from head to toe. If anyone was expecting Trypticon to be the same height as Metroplex, they were really getting their hopes up.
trypticon needs to be bigger than metroplex

Exactly! People who voted for him didn't have him being a shrimp to Metroplex and Fort Maxx in mind, regardless of his girth....
That being said, Hasbro's version is still not a deal breaker. But I don't see Takara selling a lot of these over in the US or anywhere else that the Hasbro version at $75 less is available.

I think his only active appearance is in the Monstrocity series, (though I could be in error)he's been seen inactive as recently as Redemption last year. I'm sure as a tie-in however they will bring Trypticon back online for a modern-era appearance.
