What version of Metroplex is that? It looks off somehow. And it's too small, Trypticon isn't meant to be the same height as that mould. Is it?

The explains the slight difference in Plex. But Trypticon is his size? Or is that a perspective/posing thing on Plex? I thought he was meant to be a little smaller but with more mass to compensate?

You can see Plex' knees are bent and there's perspective and posing going on. So they can appear to be the same height, but Tryp is definitely shorter.

And his city mode is an impressive 16" to the top of the towers. Still haven't heard an official length from the tip of his tail to the end of his snout. That has to at be at least 24".

Out of curiosity, are folks going to preorder this, or wait for a deal? Assuming you're going for the regular US retail version.

Wait for a deal. These higher priced items never sell out and fort max showed that the big box stores will all sell them, though maybe online only for some, which makes sense.

Doesnt have to be a huge deal though, I am sure it will be available for $100 USD at some point as every other titan was and thats what I will be waiting for (I might even bite at $120).

Not only are the colours rather similar new Trypticon is like Gigastorm in another way too "No Brunt".

But I guess the 3rd party types are going to be give plenty of options there soon enough.

I don't remember exactly since I got the Legends version, but that was just in Canada right? I don't recall US Walmart selling any Titans online (definitely not in stores), and Target only got Devastator (online only) which they claim to be an exclusive and still want $170. TRU is the only major American retailer that got these both online and in stores. I don't know where people are getting the amazing clearance prices on Fort Max, he's still full price on BBTS and TRU, and $20 off on TFSource. So where are the deals? To me it isn't worth waiting nearly a year for a good price that may not come along and better to buy what you want when you find it.

Risk on if? If the collector is more into the anime accuracy or close render to the anime, I hedge my bets on the Takara version. Annnnnd, there are instances when the Takara version turns out to be cheaper.

Also, trying to get the item at in secondary markets is least practical. Online stores usually over order stocks (ahem Encore Fortmax) hence is said to have sold cheap. But what if online domestic stores have LEARNED their lesson and under order? Supply and demand leads to less stock/high demand = higher prices

Also, Dinosaurer II is a bad guy. His release is sure to be limited. Not that I'm sure if that is applicable to the Hb world wide market.

It wasnt Canada this time, it was all US. The US had a ton of deals on Fort Max and I am surprised you didnt get the memos, we newsed a bunch. Here are some highlights to the major deals he had from only 99$ all the way down to only 55$:

I wonder why TRU =UK never stocked Fort Max and Tesco had a tiny number of them.

I'd have loved to have got a normal one as I got the Import show one with the plain box and the sword. which is nice enough and I do like the head on Cerebros on that one - but another one would have been nice too to get the other head. but at least I saved myself the pain of having to put the stickers on it.
