He certainly deserves a place before that turd Alpha Bravo. Even discounting my dislike of the little usurper, it's probably my least favorite of the CW limb molds, and just not a great helicopter, IMO.

Yes. Now go to your room and don't play with yourself.

Not only is he pretty fun, there is absolutely NO robo parts visible in copter mode, no matter the angle. Pretty awesome.
-Kanrabat- wrote:As for Skyhammer, you forgot to mention how genius the rotor blades were integrated into the bot mode. NO helicopter Tfs ever do that.
william-james88 wrote:This toy probably has the most unique way to deal with his rotors in robot mode. With his chest area being the central body of the helicopter, his chest is the top where the rotors are and they wrap around him in robot mode resulting in no extraneous kibble.
For a movie toy, Skyhammer has some gorgeous alt mode integration like his rotors wrapping around his chest, his legs being the tail and the cockpit splitting to form shoulder armour.
UltraPrimal wrote:Armada Cyclonus: Also, a good helicopter. Only bad part of him was that he was a product of his time, i.e., Armada, i.e., no articulation in order to be more GEEWUN.
Speaking of G1 and no articulation, Generations Whirl is obviously better than G1 Whirl because he's basically just the original, but with articulation.

Armada Cyclonus is a good figure, but Armada wasn't trying to be GEEWUN at all. If it was, Cyclonus wouldn't have been a helicopter.
Delta Magnus wrote:I pretty much 100% agree with this list. Especially Skyhammer. I was actually going to convert that mold into Megatron, but the high cost on eBay combined with that difficulty I would have had disassembling him put me off. That said he looks like a fantastic figure in his own right and I want him.

You could always get the AoE voyager Drift version.
Also, "high cost"? What high cost? Unless you want it for free, this listing is pretty dirt cheap, even with the shipping:

Whoa, that's pretty good. I might bite on that.

Well I am Australian. It's kinda what we're known for.

I wish I could like Generations Whirl but ... you know ... I can't transform him.

It's a very expensive thing indeed, and would probably benefit from a Leader scale - but just.. look at it.

At least we can agree on Skyhammer

Burn, while I share your G1.5 enthusiasm, I cannot support your disdain for our lord and savior Alpha Bravo.
