Also, glad to see DotM Ultimate Optimus getting some love.

Yeah, Armada 'TOWER OF DEATH' Optimus (or either two-bot combination mode) should have been on the top 5 of this list 1000% over 'Butterfly Optimus' and his horrible and not fun to transform, not posable, trailer armor.

Side note to 'Transformers Energon Wing Saber Optimus Prime Super Mode' the Wing Saber bits also fit on Omega Supreme just like the 'vehicle squad' does, if you want another 'TOWER OF DEATH' style build-up/bulk-up.

The only Super Primes I have are the movie ones, if you don't count combining Prime. And while both are cool, I would rank the DotM one over Jetfire/Prime because of the majesty of the super mode, and the giant cool gun

About time someone gets it! I felt like I was alone here.

That finished result is a statue, but so are several others on this list, and you said it perfectly, he is Majestic!

I do have a list of most majestic/regal TFs coming up but I wasnt thinking of including him so far. Maybe I will :-?

That DOTM U-Prime definitely look like some orbital space canon of doom. Solar panels spread out and ready to blow **** up on Earth from space! :twisted:

I don't mind the statuesque lack of articulation. And can even say the inner robot is nice enough.

But the tiny head in super mode, just does not work. Why couldn't there be a helmet?

Also the uncombined Prime from the movie Jetfire/Prime combo is 1000 times better as a robot than Ultimate's base Prime is. The truck halves on his arms don't help him out.

But I will grant that he looks pretty cool in combined mode. But again, that head...

As I wrote to Burn, when we are looking at combinations, what the uncombined Prime looks like doesnt really add or remove points. This list is not about Primes on their own, there was another list for that and that is where we saw the ROTF Prime and not the one that comes with DOTM Ultimate Prime. Plus, as unispired as he may be, at least he doesnt have a fake chest.

And about the head, he does have a helmet:

A helmet that actually looks good. Not a targeting visor, that's a non-removable part of the BFG.

And yes, I know, its not the uncombined prime this list is for. I was just saying. ;)^

Cybertron Prime has great modes all round, Energon Prime uncombined makes ME look skinny!

Cybertron Prime is an absolutely beautiful toy all around. I remember the first time we saw a teaser of it, and it just grabbed my immediate attention. I still feel that way when I see that toy. I often forget about that figure simply because the Unicron Trilogy toys have all been in storage for years, but Cybertron Optimus Prime is just a fantastic Transformers toy.

I like Energon Optimus Prime, but he has a lot of flaws in my opinion. Definitely not in my top 5 or my top 10.

Oh man, those were fun lists.

And in comparison to today's toys, he isn't very poseable, and very simple. His transformation is pure G1, but that is the fun of it all. Its all intentional. We dont realize it now, but there were no "G1" like Primes on the shelf for a looooong time. Cybertron Prime brought it back to basics but in a new and updated design. He still remains an accomplishment of being both an homage in every way while also being something all of his own.

Kinda thinking this would've been better as two lists: Best Supermode OP i.e. OP's that have their own supermode, and Best OP Power Mushrooms i.e. TF's that can combine as power-ups for OP...

In that case, there would just have five to make a list. That's a pool way too small. On top of my head, the only Optimuses who can have a super mode with his trailer are:
Power Master, RiD firetruck, Armada, Energon (the drones are part of his trailer), Cybertron, and DotM Ultimate.

Same thing with combining with others... It will be the same list as above, but add Combiner Wars as the only seventh possibility. So, because the pool is so tiny, better put in the best mode, with trailer or others.

You're counting series (and forgetting RotF Jetfire), but for the second list some of the series have multiple characters that can combine with OP. Unicron Trilogy alone has six different characters that combine with him (Armada Jetfire and Overload, Energon Wing Saber and Omega Supreme, and Cybertron Leobreaker and Wing Saber). I could see a list of best add-on characters/figures (excluding CW because that would be a mess), but yes, doing this list over again without the added characters would certainly be underwhelming.
