And I am far more intrigued by what Va'al mentioned since that totally works with that idea. Wow Va'al, I totally ignored those Prime figures and they didnt even cross my mind but yes, they totally fit the bill, especially Thundertron, who I think is super awesome. He looks more like a detailed power rangers action figure that way. Um...

Nice pick, but I personally found the wheels a bit too obvious, as well as the stuff hanging off his feet in the back and his knee landing gear. It's a top 5 so it's hard to put everyone on there. He might have been there if it was a top 10 though.

Carnivius_Prime wrote: Also the wheels may be somewhat apparent but I like that they don't actually stick out as extra kibble on his sides or something. They're all integrated neatly into his shoulders and lower legs. Tidy!
And not sure how you can say it's not obvious what Cyclonus turns into. His wings and fins are blatantly still present in robot mode. Still, that figure is still designed a hell of a lot better than the new Combiner Wars one.
Oh well these kinds of lists are always subjective but nice for debate.
I think RotF Leader Prime would qualify because I'm still amazed at how a big chunky truck neatly folds away to reveal a superbly well built and athletic-looking robot mode without much unneccessary stuff sticking out.
Not only did I not think of Magnus, but I also spaced on Starsaber! Those are damn good candidates!Emerje wrote:I hear you on this one, my Star Saber finally arrived yesterday. Fully combined he's like a giant robot action figure. Yeah, there are a few wings, but he looks like a non-transforming action figure, like a model kit. Super impressive, especially in person.munkimus prime wrote:Somebody mentioned MP Ultra Magnus which is a good pick but what about Masterpiece Star Sabre, You couldn't really tell he even had another mode.
